Man I have to comment again! These older gun and scope CRAFTSMAN are as good or better than what's available now...even if you buy some crazy priced gear! I'm proud to be old school like you man!
Great video Mr. RG! The scope looks wonderful, the engineered function would be a joy to use. I love seeing the 52C get this much love and attention from you 😁. I'll second 'Walnutand Steel's suggestion for a vintage only challenge 👍. Lets someone come up with a 💥 idea and put these magnificent rifles to the test!
Great Review , I am having the same Scope mounted on my CF Rifle today . My barrel was not D + Tapped already so I’m having it done today . Thanks for Posting 👍👍
Thanks for showing the repeatability of this unit's sighting system. I have a Litschert 12× Targeteer Sr on my 1927 Model 52. It works great but modern glass without modifying my rifle or changing its appearance is very appealing. Happy New Year, sir.
I have that same scope on a 52D CMP and love the combination. There's something very satisfying about shooting great groups with these vintage rifles. I really like the external adjustments of the scope.
Enjoyed seeing you shoot that old 52C, Eli. 👍🏼 The wind looked pretty strong at times and kept you from shooting your best; no telling how well you would group without it!
Very nice setup. I once owned a 52D like yours but with a heavier barrel. It was set up with a Unertl 14x. It shot well to the point where we would pick flies off at 50 yds. I have to agree that your clarity is better and field of view is superior. I still love my Unertl it now sits on an Anschutz 1413 which I take to the range once in ahwile.
Oh man that's a sweet set up! I just recently bought an original Win 52 with the barrel band. I want one of the Hi Lux scopes as well. I also have a very accurate Remington 513T similar to your 52C. Love your videos bro!
Fantastic... i still regret letting my 52C go😢 it did have a Unertl 32X scope, set up for positional shooting. I did shoot it is several matches and really enjoyed that rifle. Thanks for the walk down memory lane 😅
1st off, Semper Fi to a fellow, former Marine. I love seeing you give the love to the heyday .22 rifles. Never worry about how long your videos are, love watching you really give the ladies a good work out. Love your setup and how you film and do things. Hi Lux is really working on making sure their scopes are good scopes to use. They are the main manufacturer for vintage scopes that a lot of shooters are using for the CMP and NRA Vintage sniper rifle matches. Keep up the great work.
Maybe when we see the new barrels, and more modern ways of producing so called better equipment , perhaps sometimes its more of a sales incentives , as we see some of the older guns producing excellent shooting ability. Thanks for this video for sure.
I want Hi Lux to exceed but regret to say they have gone in a different direction. I have 2 of their ART scopes and 2 of their regular scopes. These are made in China and they don't even maintain the same quality from one scope to the next.
I'm not sure what it is but that rifle/ammo combo is not working. A 52C should have no problem shooting better groups than that. I have a mint condition 52C that prints bug holes any day of the week with mid price ammo SK Rifle etc. The vintage scopes are seeing a revolution of sorts lately. The glass on the newer repo models doesn't quite keep up with many older originals. The marketplace for an clean original with bases will set you back as much as the rifle if not more easy.
When is the vintage only challenge be coming out?😉

At least I know I am in good company love old school
You have a beautiful 52C there. Amazingly I just inherited a 56 model year 52C with a 25X lymen super target spot. Can’t wait to try her out.

DING! You rang the bell again! Vintage rifle , Vintage style scope ! I’m drooling over the keyboard ! Nicely done .
Now you have an idea of why I like my old scopes!
Great Review , I am having the same Scope mounted on my CF Rifle today . My barrel was not D + Tapped already so I’m having it done today . Thanks for Posting 👍👍

Glad to see you finally put a scope on that 52-c. It shot lights out for me with a Weaver T-36 on it..
No doubt and with the right ammo it will shoot better
Good post. Thanks.
Nice to see something for the old folks good stuff 👍😀
That’s a real beauty, definitely one I would be very proud to own. Definitely my speed, awesome groups!! Great Video!!!
Love the vintage .22's and scopes!
Awesome I agree Roy there is something about this combo.
I have that same scope on a 52D CMP and love the combination. There's something very satisfying about shooting great groups with these vintage rifles. I really like the external adjustments of the scope.
Good job, very informative video!
Happy Veteran's day. Thank you for your service sir.
Love these videos RG, Hall of fame rifle and they shoot, I have an early 50s B model, she loves Wolf ammo.
Enjoyed seeing you shoot that old 52C, Eli. 👍🏼

Vintage........................ outstanding performance, it's not the new kid on the block, but it still shoots !!
What a magnificent setup! The 52C was made in the 50’s and early 60’s
Thanks Nibs absolutely love the setup
Ha, ha, ha! Nice first shot.

You once owned please tell me you didn't depart ways with it. Also this is the heavier barrel so we may have had the same thing.

Oh Man you have a remington 513, I want one of those or a 541 I think it is.
I have the 8x Unertl clone from hilux. I could have easily bought a real one but I didn't want "The burden of stewardship". It's a very nice scope.
Fantastic... i still regret letting my 52C go😢 it did have a Unertl 32X scope, set up for positional shooting. I did shoot it is several matches and really enjoyed that rifle. Thanks for the walk down memory lane 😅
I would love to buy those Redfield target sights.
What a wonderful enjoyable video…THANK YOU my friend 👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Great little rifle and nice scope!!
I need a creative way to get good scope footage man this thing is so clear.
Good shooting!

You were having too much fun!! The Model 52C was made from mid-1951 until production ceased in 1962. Total production was less than 30,000.
Maybe when we see the new barrels, and more modern ways of producing so called better equipment , perhaps sometimes its more of a sales incentives , as we see some of the older guns producing excellent shooting ability. Thanks for this video for sure.
Man that is a neat scope
I really like it. Surprised by it's clarity
team and tenex looked pretty close to the same. great video very cool scope!
I love that old rifle
I hope Hi Lux makes them better now than when they first started. Soft steel parts dont hold up and need rebuilding.
Heck yeah
I have the Gen1 on my Mossberg 144 and Gen2 8x on my Remington 513-T, I want the 20x for my Ruger No1V 22-250.
the "X" stands for power of magnification; we would refer to that as a "Twenty Power Scope"
Most likely ammo. My 52c all shoot great.
I want Hi Lux to exceed but regret to say they have gone in a different direction. I have 2 of their ART scopes and 2 of their regular scopes. These are made in China and they don't even maintain the same quality from one scope to the next.
U got a link? New to guns inherited several 52's wanting to set them all up with scopes and irons.
Do dm have a channel?
Keep the rimfire videos coming
What brand is your back resting pad and what height is it, please?
Not bad fellow jarhead but what yardage…without saying I have to assume 20, maybe 25 yards😁
Try you some RWS R 50 in it. You’ll thank me
I'm confused. Your 52c has a barrel band, mine does not. I thought all the c's,'s. and e's were band free???????????
What kind of rest system are you running?
Ransom Rest

I'm so tired of the vantage holster ad. I will never buy one.
