Ron - I've watched manyl of your vids over the past several weeks and they're very helpful. Couple questions though - which do you prefer: 1) Blunami or RailPro? - and - 2) Is there any solution with either of these systems to use AC track power from a Z4000? To this point it seems like I'd need to go battery if I want to run units with either of these systems while I have DCS/TMCC/Legacy locos on the track as well. Thanks man
I truly like both. They both have their plusses and minuses, but Blunami is growing on me very much. I started with the Blunami predecessor BlueRail. BlueRail can be run from AC track power as is. Look for my AEM 7 video. Bob Walker, the king of BPRC, is playing with AC to DC converter to run Blunami on AC track. RailPro wants DC, so you would need to convert the AC power to DC the way I mentioned above. You should just try one engine with a battery. Nothing says you can't try it all. I love it. All my stuff will be battery from now on. But I have to keep the third rail and DCS and Legacy for my son and visitors. They have not seen the light yet. 😉
Great video, looks like the future of model railroading is deadrail!
Thanks.... It certainly is my future. Some traditionalists may disagree. But that is ok... There is room for all of us in the hobby.
I have a similarly numbered transfer caboose in HO scale.
cool vid, thanks for sharing!
I like the caboose

Great sound options. 👍🙂
who made that transfer caboose?
I kitbashed an MTH bay window caboose. Details here. ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/topic/kitbashed-scratch-built-chessie-transfer-caboose
seems silly they lock the UI to the blunami. When its still just changing CV's behind the scenes.
I don't know if I understand. If you know your CVs, you can go in and modify CVs to your hearts content.
