Train Announcements

The train announcements system is driven from the timetable. Audio files are stitched together 'on the fly' to generate appropriate announcements as determined by the timetable. Individual audio files are times, stations and words and phrases to make up appropriate sentences. There are currently just under 200 files and 3 different voices offer a choice of announcer.
Delayed or cancelled trains also generate appropriate announcements and there are a number of random general announcements such as 'put your litter in the bin'.
