Thank you so much for this info! It made my Graceful MM look amazing!
I am so glad! ❤️❤️❤️
I bought an LV CABAS PIANO bag that the straps had this done! It’s a real dark brown now. I thought for awhile it was fake but it has held up wonderfully (it’s been 10+ years) and is so beautiful
Oh, that is strange they should have disclosed that with you. Did it turn authentic after all?
Thank you, Radi 🙏
Did it and it worked...Thanks so much
For those who are risk-adverse, using Huggies water wipe alone works too but less quickly
The Higgies wipes are also 99% water.
Hello. I have LV Locky BB bag which has a black leather flap on it. It’s faded now with no shine. Can I use olive oil on it?
I have replied to your insta massage. I am not familiar with that bag in particular. I will advise you to see someone who is.
Hello! Can you do the olive oil after you’ve used the mink oil? Also, have you had any issues with the olive oil going rancid? Thank you for your help❤
Hello, of course you can use different oil after, but I would say leave the first product to set for a minimum couple of weeks or so.
I haven't had any issues with any of them at all!
Xx
❤️
Can we use other oils like almond ? Or only olive oil and almond
I used only olive oil and mink oil and I like how the olive oil looks like.
Where do you buy your Louis Vuitton bags from may i ask? I have bought two keepall and both do not look realistic do you know of any good suppliers many thanks

What is your Instagram name please
Is in the description
You can actually find them on eBay believe it or not and they’ll even authenticate them if they cost $500 or more.. a lot of suppliers from Japan have them on auction and it takes patience and time but you can really luck out this way!! I’ve now obtained 2 louis bags, a Louis agenda PM and a Hermes bag this way!
Which is better to use olive oil or mink oil
There are examples with both in my channel. I prefer the olive oil as it went a lot darker. Depending on the results you are after
When you do this, does the oil stop the patina process or will it still continue to patina naturally overtime?
This is done if you want to darken the vachetta quickly the oil will not stop the natural process
@@Radi_Ignatova which oil will make it darker and quicker? mink or olive?
@@sherwinh1661 Olive oil will darken it faster.
Do I have to wipe the hardware with baby wipes?
Is your hardware dirty or oxidised?
Is there anyway to do the opposite? I want to lighten the patina that I have put on a bag with olive oil years ago
No unfortunately you cannot lighten it back up. What’s done is done. It will always continue to get darker even if you hadn’t used the olive oil
Hello! I read olive oil can go rancid overtime and create issues on Vachetta. Have you ran into any issues so far? Do you still use this method now?
Hello, I haven't had any issues myself so far. Xx
I’ve been doing it for 20 years & never had a problem
@@peaceout7066 thank you!!! Soooo good to know
OK I'm just starting your video but the reason I'm here is because I have a Petit noe, That I swear patinas differently on different parts of the leather the strips on the sides and the bottom will not respond to the oil that I put on the same way the rest of the bag has. Have you ever heard of this I'm really upset I've had this bag a few years and I never use it it was virgin looking and I just really wanted to patina it but now I'm very disappointed
Hello, that's is strange but it can happen. Is there any damage on your vachetta like anything spilled on it or if you had it preloved might be they done something to it? You can message me on my ig @radi_ign and send me pictures
@@Radi_Ignatova No damage whatsoever, and I bought it directly from Louis Vuitton. I'm going to just put it in the sun with the bottom side up tomorrow and see if that helps thank you for reply
I would confirm it is leather, as vinyl doesn’t absorb. I hope LV isn’t cheaping out and using vinyl in certain areas. I have heard that’s what some “good” fakes do….use vinyl in the less obvious places. I’ve seen them where the piping is light, but the handles are dark. I.e., the piping was synthetic. Someone once told me to put a little water on it to check for absorption.
@@Radi_Ignatova not pre-loved I bought it directly from LV online, I hardly ever used it and now I never use it...
