OA has really gone a long way. I remember around the late 80's when he was first starting out, a lot of negativity was thrown his way (i.e. short, not really very good, etc.). In some way, I hated those criticisms because [1] we came from the same university (represent!) and [2] I do think he was a very talented singer because he was part of "Kundirana" as well.
He was the opening act for BANANARAMA, my first concert I attended with my GF (now my wife) in 1989. Some were booing him - sad.
Then he released his album with the songs "Sa Kanya" and "Andito Ako" in it. BOOM - the rest was history!!!! Good job OA!!!
Really great history sir. I only seen him live with Regine and Jaya and with their band back 2017 in a Christian concert. I believed his talent and attitude helped him on being an music icon. ✌️🤗
