Passive aggressive toxic work environment is unfortuately very common.
Even blue collar workers deal with it not knowing why.
As a Black Veteran, I can say I've ran into this kind of treatment over my 45 years working.
I still treat and respect others despite these occurances to show I'm not a bad person. Sometimes it works...
You go to work, do the job, get paid and go home. Everything else is extra...good and bad.
It's all in their head and some creates fantasies to trip up the competition so they leave on their own.
When caught...they use the ambiguous reasons that it was a prank or "payback" because they had it easy because of DEI or something.

The bully finally left but my change in character did not. I wish I had been strong enough to shake it all off but I was not able to completely do that. I was always distant and suspicious of her friends that still worked there. I was blessed to be able to retire and I finally feel like I am getting back to my real self. I am so much happier with the person I am now.
I pray that this man can get there much faster than I did but it will take effort. Do not give this women the power to change you. The bully, sadly, needs to be dismissed or resign. That kind of behavior can not be allowed ever. It is toxic. Nobody stands up to them because they are afraid of becoming the next target. The powers to be need to have zero tolerance for bullies.
