Me who has been pulling full reverse in A-380s when I’m bored: Now that’s not ENTIRELY correct…
As someone who grew up on an Air Force base, I was around these as a child, I got to go inside one of the first ones used in the USA back in 94 when they sent them to Charleston Joint AFB and these were so awesome! Got to ride in it as they taxied this down to the hangar for storage until it was put into service. These are probably the best transport planes ever put into the military service. If I would’ve been eligible for service and not had some health issues my dream was to fly one of these in the Air Force.

Drop speed to 220 with 30-50% flaps to get a more effective descent without going into reverse mid air. Great for avoiding mountains without sacrificing engine power.

I think the reason why the qatar airways livery is on the c 17 is to either confuse the enemy forces or the public to think its just an ordinary qatar airways plane so that it doesnt get shot down or to help the military keep any secretive governmental projects that the qatari government has, another reason is because qatar airways, being the flag carrier of qatar and being one of the best airlines around has ,made an alliance with the military which in my opinion is the reason why and that its pretty cool

I saw a C-17 display at Farnborough: it landed on about 500m of runway, reversed under its own power, then took off again in the same 500m or so. It probably carried no load for that, of course. For the first takeoff in this video, I bet you had a couple of M1A1 tanks in the back. Just hope they’re strapped down really tight ..!

It would probably help you land if you deployed landing flaps, speed-brakes, slats, along with reverse thrust. A stabilized approach is the ONLY way to get a good landing, and the ONLY way to get a stabilized approach is an appropriate configuration for said approach.

Why don't you try to land in LESU, it is an airport in the pyrinies in Catalonia, Spain. The runway is 1.400 meters long and some ATR-72 had landed there

We have three airfields where I live at. Two are naval. One is actually at the naval air station and the other just a practice field. The third is the civil airport. A south west pilot a number of years ago put a 737 down on that practice runway. When I say practice they use it for touch and go's as well as carrier landings.

Fun Fact: The C-17 is also a hospital plane. It can treat multiple troops at once. (I went to the national guard base where I live and meet sun pilots, also got to tour the plane) and the side door are for the paratroops to jump out of.

Actually a true "Khe Sahn" tactical landing is designed as a descending spiral so as to stay over the protective "shield" of the airbase. The enemy learned in Vietnam that so long as they hid along the approach corridors, the cargo planes were easy pickings and MANY C130's were lost until one of my uncles helped develop that maneuver. He flew Herc's in Vietnam...and into/out of many firebases INCLUDING the namesake...Khe Sahn during the siege. Ended up deliberately crashing one at the end of the runway after taking damage on the way in so that others had enough room to land and take off.
MD80 can open the reverste thrusters too. I did that for fun in XP10 GloMo

Back in the day you really made good content, you still do that, but I miss the old style of your video's like using the Antonov and calling it the thickanov or using extreme earrape and using"Hey gamers" as the intro I hope you know what I mean and I know that there are many many reliable subscribers like me that feel the exact same thing I have subscribed right now for almost a whole year and I've watched all your video's fully to the end, but let's head back to the main question and that is, could you please bring back the old style of making videos.
