  • Another video from my series How to get to ...Today I show you Valletta waterfront At times full of life when a cruse ship is in, Other times when its busy are evening and weekends when the Maltese come over to try its many restaurants, With its historical 250-year-old warehouses built by Grand Master Pinto at the height of the Baroque period in Malta, stretching along the water’s edge, the Valletta Waterfront invites you to discover a mix of dining, retail and leisure experiences

How beautiful to see Valletta Waterfront coming to life and so vibrant - may it continues 🙏. So many ways to get there 🤔.
Barakka Lift would be my preferred way especially in hot weather ☀.
That area always brings me happy "work memories". THANKS 🎥👏.

I’m looking forward to going down to the waterfront in the evening as you recommend. In 1989 there was none of this. I had to look at my old video to compare then and now. When I first went my husband told me don’t take a photo of the karozzin as they could ask for money.

I did visit Valetta some years ago, before Covid19, and I have seen "magnets" with the old busses, but never one actually driving! But in November we will come back for 3 weeks. Most likely for the last time as we are both 74 and my wife is handicapped, so she is afraid that something happens.

There is even a shortcut, on the way down, you get the left hand side, and there are some stairs that go down to the tunnel gangway, right before Crew Bar. Nice to see cruise guests again walking up to Valletta. By the way, those were all from south Italy, they don't have too much to spend on going on excursions, so they like go around on their own. Anyway, Valletta is best to see on foot, unless you have some physical problems. And about the cruise ship, the crew is not allowed yet to go ashore, otherwise you would see a lot of them around. And for the PA announcements you heard, they were having a crew drill.
