- This is a speedrun of Bloodborne on the 1.00, unpatched version of the game, not to be confused with Any% Current Patch. The skips and tech in this run can only be achieved by installing the game from a vanilla copy while disconnected from the internet.
Third completed run, and we have a world record. It's amazing because I was having many runs with this pace that all died to various memes, so it was nice to be able to punch one through. This run is actually within 10 seconds of my sum of best, so with the current tech, there is not much further it can be optimized without a "perfect" run.
I can say I am happy with everything in this run, other than the Wet Nurse teleport that lost a handful of seconds.

Imagine being Gehrman, seeing probably hundreds of hunters do this as normal, then some out of towner comes in, runs like a maniac, and WRECKS the nightmare in under 20 minutes

Took me 20 minutes to work out how to leave the hunters dream for the first time. Didn’t realise you needed to use the grave to warp back and forth.
For 20 minutes, still like a noob fighting the first werewolf :)

Amazing run. Glad CZcams recommended this to me. I didn't even know some these skips were possible. It's good to see runners not relying on the wolf skip at the beginning.

The skips you're referring to are not possible on current patch. Any% is run on old patch for this very reason. The reason I'm not doing wolf skip is because the fence skip is faster.

Nobody owns a world record. They only hold it. Beautiful run (double stagger Rom is wild). I'm glad it could be lowered. My 1852 has such a flawed wetnurse and shadows, it was not impossible to beat. I guess we'll see if anyone ever grinds the shard rng and seeks sub 1830. Again, great job!

Hey quick question what is the second character all about? How can a separate playthrough effect the main one and what exactly does it do?
2nd character sets up the item box duplication method to create bloodstones.

I never understood any % speedruns like after beating shadows make a new profile dying then going back to the old one I didnt get it but I'm impressed and with rom 🥳😧 just wow glad I was recommended this keep up the amazing work mate
I know thia is an old comment, but I think making a new profile sets up the item duplication he uses.

This is an amazing sight to see, I’m still trying to process the duplication glitch you did I have never seen it done that way before!
It was patched in 2015, so it's not something that's really relevant anymore.

Started running this game in December last year.
I saw someone with another 19 minute run that took 1,000 attempts for it.
I think it took this fine gentleman close to that range of hours, and man, does it look pretty in this showcase.

Just finished the game last night for the first time and came to see what the Any% run was like. Amazing stuff. Also I literally only just now realized something about the game while watching this. There's a part near the end in Mergo's Loft where you can pull a lever that makes a giant brain mass with eyes that resembles a huge Brain Trust enemy come crashing down. I didn't realize until just now that that creature must be what's attacking you from a distance when you're heading towards the structure from the outside at 15:55.
Yup indeed. And you can go down where it falls for a couple things, but to interact with it, you also need to go in another location.
@@sambonbon755 You can interact with it?! Darn, I figured there had to be more to it. I did go down the hole a little ways and got the Blood Rock or whatever was there. I wasn't sure if there was a way to go any deeper, but I was so close to the end of the game by that point I didn't want to spend a ton of time exploring.

@@jakubkowalczuk7134 I was pretty thorough in the earlier parts of the game, but stuff was getting so tough in the final areas that I stopped taking as many chances while exploring. But this is also the first time I've ever played a FromSoft game, so I was bound to miss stuff.

@zanthais6989 The glitch was patched in 2015. You must own a copy of the disc from launch and be playing on the unpatched version of Bloodborne to perform the glitch.

It's a glitch that allows you to dupe bloodstone shards by loading the item box.

I’ve seen a lot of blood borne speed runs but the skip to the rom fight has me absolutely shook when did that skip get found and why does it work is it patch specific or did they really just make the trigger that big
It still works on current patch, but it's much more difficult to do.
I've never watched or played Bloodborne before. This just happened to pop up in my feed. I was thoroughly enjoying the run until you ran past the babies crying, triggering my PTSD from my nights with my 3 month old baby girl, haha.

Hi, I've just watched this and it's amazing to watch a game that gave me such trouble get smashed into pieces.
I don't do speed running and I don't know how any of it works, but what was the bit where he quit and started a new character? What did that do? I'm guessing it's a glitch of some sort but I didn't see what it did.
Setting up item duplication.
It’s crazy because I could have sworn the load screens alone would take longer than 20 minutes. Amazing.
Load screens are not counted by the game as In-Game Time.

Bloodborne was my first Souls game. And i still remember playing at launch after my best friend got me into. My ass was stuck in Yarnham for over an hour until i finally beat the Cleric Beast. This guy decided to run around like a madman and end the nightmare in less the time ut takes for Domino's to deliver my pizza.

This glitch only works on 1.00 patch. It does not work on current patch.

What was the reason for the burgenworth quit out at 8:56? Was it to reset enemy placement? How about the saw cleaver toggles?
There is no quitout at 8:56 so I'm not sure at all what you're talking about. Toggling is just attempting to manipulate enemy AI. Most of the time, it just causes the enemy to attack faster and gets you killed.
The IGT on the character says 18:01 and the runtime was 20:03, so where do you get the actual IGT from? Is it reviewed by speedrun mods? Sorry for the question. Great run btw!
I have answered this question several times already. The two characters used in the run are combined final times to make the final time in the run. 18:01 + 00:48 = 18:49. The time on my splits is merely a tool for me to keep track of my pace. There is no way to track IGT on a console game without checking it on the main menu. Thank you for the ggs FrankerZ

What does it do to equip/ un-equip the saw cleaver rapidly like you do occasionally?
It has a small chance to cause the enemies to lose tracking on your character temporarily. Majority of the time it doesn't work.

the dew is duplicated by underflowing. the shards are using the item box duplication method that was patched out in 1.01
awesome run came back to the game cause i got a ps5 now and saw the wr is on ps5. a quick question. If i try to start bloodborne on my ps5 without the newest version the game wont start. i played the patched one but 1.0 version wont start. Is there a trick? ty ^^
There's no trick to it at all. Should boot without any issues.

Glad you enjoyed it. Just created a negative quantity dupe by dropping more cold-bloods than what I had in the inventory, just like you can see in the video.
