People are gonna be happy for their first rain race until the first turn in the wet comes up and everyone crashes. You'll find me in the crash pile along with them.
I can only imagine how the coms are gonna sound during the first week or month of people getting use to it gonna be fucking hilarious 😂😂
I will also be one of those in the pile up 😂😂
mx5 rookies
@@hugheast7842 mx5 isn't one of the cars that will have rain
90% of the field will start from the pits.
Splitting the open wheel license is game changer as well.
Why ? i dont get it
@@simracingchannel7691 me personally I main GT3 and TCR cars. I’m not fully confident in open wheel racing yet and when I try it out my IR rating drops haha but it’s so much fun. So now that they have separated them more people would try open wheel I would imagine since it would be a separate rating.
I am the opposite. I mainly do open wheel and struggle is sports cars. So I am happy that I can try more of those without hurting my open wheel racing
Yeah but the license is just SR right so you will still loose IR.
@@simracingchannel7691 IR will be separate too. Your sports car IR doesn’t affect your oval license IR does it?
Yes Suellio, if it doesn't affect your usual posting schedule too much I'd love to see more videos about you covering updates. Cheers!
Portugal está contigo em 2024 irmão!
great stuff, iRacing's pace of development does not disappoint
so dope, in dirt we search for the right amount of worked in dirt.. looks like that skill willl transfer to rain !
Thank you bro, right to point info, great editing to get us up to speed.
Man I can't wait!
I hope you will do a video about rain lines!
Most advanced is subjective, costliest I would agree
Thanks for covering updates! Please more of it! :-)
my level of excitement at this is through the roof. finally.
So excited! But, people are also talking about a graphics overhaul in general, anybody know when that comes out?
I wonder how we are gonna deal with tire pressure adjustments for the wet tires
Yes!
I see new Suellio, I click
Started Iracing a while ago like a month or so and everyone has been talking about rain and hearing it might be added is exciting idk just the idea of the realism of the sim plus rain makes my spine tingle
Any information on the impact on hardware, fps, minimum graphics cards required? Multithreaded CPU? I can't find any information?
No information given, we'll just have to wait - not long now though.
Using multi cores is in the pipeline but reading between the lines I'd say it'll be a year+.
Perhaps if there are loads of complaints about performance they'll increase resources in this area, fingers crossed.
Will winton have what looks like a 30 degree C day but its actually 5 degrees?
Title: Rain is here!
First sentence: iRacing rain is coming next month.
😢
WOW... wet lines? I'm in!
Im just happy for the drifting
I am sure Tempest will need a lot of tuning for a few years. I am looking forward to seeing how it evolves.
Haven't watched the full video yet but I'm excited to see how the rain works at Bathurst, it's like drowning down a waterfall there
He doesn't talk about it.
racing in the rain in real life isn't fun at all... especially if you don't have electronic assists.
in iRacing, it's going to be a nightmare.
splitting the licenses is just going to make it more expensive and harder to level up
Would it be nice if I made a comparison between rain in Iracing and Rfactor2?
I've ice raced so I imagine it will be similar.
I'm as excited/concerned with the addition of rain as everyone else, but I think it's really overshadowing some other awesome parts of this next build. Portimao!!! Or Algarve!!! Whatever you want to call it. Such an awesome track. It's tricky and technical with a ton of variety and elevation change. And I'm excited for the Dallara 324, as well. As much as I love the F3, it's getting a little out of date. I don't know much about the 324 so I'll have to look up the specs and watch some races. I'm also about to upgrade from a Rift S to the Quest 3. I can't wait to see all this with much greater clarity. I just hope my 4070ti is ready for it.
Im gonna love that, first turn will be a dead sentence, but will be fun!
Chaos is on the way! lol
I'm excited about the raining too, I think everybody is... haha
Fico me perguntando como ficarão os incidentes (offtracks e rodadas) com a chuva... se ficar como está, será uma avalanche de desclassificações.
Vc é do Pará, Suelio?
Well there are other sims simulating the rain since some years. Its not like iRacing iRacing invented a new world. Most people will know that you have to be more patient. ;)
although, to my knowledge, no sim has properly modelled wet vs dry lines due to surface smoothness until iRacing which is revolutionary; "a new world" for sure...
@@azhukauskas IRacing have yet to model tires in the dry correctly.
@@azhukauskas Thats not what i wanted to say. I just mentioned, that people know how to drive in wet. ;)
@@fingers68 Let me guess. Gamermuscle fan?
They haven't even got the dry tyre model to work correctly when going over the limit during 15+ years of development so I wonder how this will turn out. Rain driving is after all a constant fight at the limit of grip. 🍿
Rain bring it on
This will change everything
in the rain you have more grip than you think, but will slide more than you want
I hope it works fiiiine but still - it will come down to "rain line" (need to avoid apex until rain washes grip (rubber) away, allowing to "come down") and "pre-coded dry line" vs "cars create dry line" on track (if nobody drives on track, it doesn't dry on certain line by itself but only slowly loses overall wetness)
The rain is coming at us faster than a turn one accident!
Did u know if rain come with Terrence wet’s tires?
I'm guessing this will be a soft release like they did with NDM, so realistically it'll probably take a couple years to be available in all series.
rF2 and ACC have rain since day one. Even live weather change with 30-60 sec. delay to the real weather at the real track (or the nearest weather station).
It`s a bit dissapointing that not every Car will support rain from the beginning.
New tracks and the split of the road license are soem gamechangers for sure.
There will be so much difference from the rain dynamics in ACC?
Night and day difference
Rain in Iracing and Nords in ACC, thanks 2024 🎉
There goes everyone's safety rating. I'm excited for the rain but I'm sure that will change after race one.
imagine randomly its a sprint race but then it rains half way through and everyone has to pit that would be chaos
and fun
the v series gtp is going to impossible to drive in
Due to this sim high cost, this should have been present years ago. But I get the feeling excitement.
my god the rookie formula vee in the rain is gonna be terrifying
I met him today
My opinion about this is so what... Development needs to proceed in the direction of a better netcode/cheating/poor play mitigation experience - pure and simple.
No, it's not gonna be chaotic, this is going to be completely deadly and terrifying! 😅
Well there goes everyones irating lol The practices session will be fuller than the race its self lol
Yup, everyone "wants" rain, but I'm not quite sure, how much they really want rain. I have a lot of respect for it and I think it's going to be carnage, a lot of cussing and lost licenses.
I'm here for wet surfaces
stulejlo kocham cie
In my oppinion Iracing have to change a lot of things, first tyres model but also price! They have to do some packages how people coupe buy all the season content with some discount, and than don’t change pay content in the season but rotate more free content
I think the price is fine where it is for the service you get. The 2 year sub works out to $8.33 USD a month. You’re forgetting that you do get a discount when you buy a certain number of pieces of content and when you get to 40 pieces, you get a permanent discount. Plus if you compete in 8/12 weeks of the season you get money back. That’s a free track or car per season.
When it first launch in 2008 it used to be over twice as expensive. A single track could cost $35 in 2024 dollars! They’ve also hired more people so their expenses have only gone up. They’re still a small business after all.
How do you know it’s the most realistic when you haven’t tried it yet ? 🤔
Because there isn’t a sim that’s implemented rain into the physics simulation. So far, everything else just changes the friction coefficient.
@@TheOfficialOriginalChad still cant say it
@@TheOfficialOriginalChadnetKar Pro used to have nondynamic rain, and there were puddles. You could literally die on those, hydroplaning was real
@@TheOfficialOriginalChadACC??
@@vvsarja ACC uses a simple grip multiplier and some randomly generated noise to track friction. This may have changed some, but they don’t simulate water. The real giveaway of this is how well dry racing slicks drive in the wet.
Think it's bold calling it the most realistic rain...."remembers the competetion"
Ooohhh
My PC bearly reach 60 fps on iracing, so i'm equaly exited and scared
more like iraining am i right
All 20 racers are gonna be DNF in the rain. Can't even imagine the clusterfuck it will be in Ferrari fixed series.
I'm really excited for the road iRating split, I'm a good prototype driver but i suck in the formula cars so i never drive them, this will definetly get me to drive F4 more.
I wonder what will happen with NASCAR though as NASCAR on Road uses road iRating, but it is neither an open wheel nor a sports car
Probably like real life, Nascar don't race in the rain.
@@marc-andrehogue114 the iRating split has nothing to do with rain, they are two seperate features coming.
@@Fuzzidio Sorry i misread your comment 😀. Should be in Sport car
It'll end up with sports cars; GT3 race against LMP1 cars, so they'll all be lugged with sports cars. And NASCAR is closer to a sports car than it is to an open wheeler.
We’ll see…i think rF2 has the best rain simulation (and also the best tyre), and it comes since very long time. i’ve raced on iRacing few years ago, It is too expensive for the experience it offers. My thoughts
Rain will do more damage to iR and SR than anything anyone has ever seen before. It’s going to be an absolute clown show for at least a month
careful what you wish for. People are gonna hate the rain when they cant finish a race
The title is a little misleading, we're still waiting for rain.
Since you are transitioning to real racing, you can hopefully give an objective view of how realistic iRacing rain is modeled.
Boa sorte pra voces ahaha
F4 races deserve to be watched. That's already a wreck fest, now all these drivers who can't avoid each other in ideal, perfect conditions will have zero visibility and no grip? Sign me up.
I started in iRacing in 2011. This has been long time coming.
Goodbye fps😢
Personally I can't wait, not because I am a good driver but because everyone will be a bad driver, like me.
Show the rain gameplay? No, just talk about it
Let's stalk Verstappen :)
Can you make a vid about the ingame graphics. The plans they have to upgrade this and how much they already have upgrade this. Because the game is now more then 15 years old. The gap between new games will become bigger. I know that graphics is not that important and physics are way more! But still it can get to a point that new drivers don't start because the gap is to big.
I’m not too excited about it, IR still has many more issues with dry tracks than other sims that are a much more satisfying use of my free time. I’d rather they get the dry tracks better dialed in and more realistic.
Finally iracing might be a sim
I wonder how is it going to feel since road texture in iracing is poor compared to other sim, I wonder when you add raid how its going to feel. I how it wont feel like you in a boat.
the most realistic rain lol maybe the rain drops will look the most realistic? but anything to do with tires and physics in iracing is the farthest from realistic sadly. as much as I would love for iracing physics, with or without rain to be realistic, it is just not. the tire in the dry needs to be fixed before any rain is introduced and I really wish that will be addressed.
lmfao they're hyping rain in iRacing as if they had rediscovered the wheel, even though many other racing games have had it for YEARS
All this scanning tech and yet, still a 10year old game (rFactor 2) feels much more realistic than iRacing.
What do you mean by saying "most realistic " ... You mean visuals or phisics because I can assure you, with this average tyre model iracing have now,it wont be even close to ACC. I can even predict what is gonna to happen. For a first few races there will be a ton of people who will register, because its new feature. After few days, max 2 weeks,in a rainy lobby you will see 70% less people. Why? Because its no fun in simracing to race in a rain! And with "skills" and attitude of most of iRacing drivers,it will be a shit show. Even watching top of a top splits in dry conditions I asked myself many times, how is this a top split . Unless we will agree that iRating means only amount of time that guy has for a grind, not to practice proper racecraft.
Most realistic? Yet hasn't driven it at all. Dude please stop stroking Iracing so much the tire model is trash
Why "rain" in a racing game is such a big deal?? You know we already have it on others great games.
iRacing is not realistic at all. It feels way too clinically clean and does not reflect reality in the slightest. Go with rF2. That feels like a real car.
