As I have turned older, I realized Roger is pretty much just a wanker. Saw Roger when he did his tour revisiting The Wall in the late 2000's- Then noticed he just kept repeating that tour.
Both post-Waters albums were better than anything he ever came up with after he left the band.

I agree with you 100% that Pink Floyd's the best band especially in concert I saw them four times and every show was amazing. They play with such perfection that everything is flawless and I mean everything. And David Gilmore by far is in my eyes the best guitarist out there. So I agree with you that you got good taste on music for picking Pink Floyd but you definitely don't have good taste in football cuz you pick the Dallas cowgirls as your football team LOL keep rocking everyone
@Duane 100% on that answer, there's a lot o music out there from that era or decades, in my humble experience (im only 26 yers old) pink floyd from it's first album had something special... the MUSIC more than the lyrics, get to my heart and soul making me feel different emotions (even though the song is the same it makes you feel things depending you emotional state), that's the real way to make MUSIC g*d damm.
So it is not the best but really did musc great and gave a good exmple of what music should do...
Don't forget that its a kind of "mathematics" the making of "MUSIC" that started a really long time ago and it evolved like the human beings or society it self, like in 1700 when music was al like opera more like symphony (i dont know if my thoughts are clear... im from Uruguay and i speak Spanish so...)
Floyd greatest sound if from the early years when they were all kids playing with those instruments making some of the greates shit I'll ever hear... although they are not the best by far (technically speaking)
Please if you got children... show them all the greatest performers of R&B Jazz (gippzy or japanese they are all great, do not discriminate by the cover, only by their talent of transmuting sounds into feelings) and
Kids now are listening commercial shit without any content... i still BELIEVE that the ERA in what we live now its a very different of what my parents lived(military dictatorship) or some grand fathers lived during the bombs where falling like rain.
I finish with this... PLEASE SHOW YOUR KIDS SOME OTHER MUSIC THAT'S FROM ANOTHER TIME AND ERA, EXPLAIN WHAT WAS GOING ON IN THOSE YEARS... MAKE THEM INTEREST IN WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW... BECAUSE ITS HAPPENING THANKS TO ALL THE THINGS HUMANITY GET THROUGH AND ACCOMPLISHED.
MAKE THEM STUDY OUR HISTORY AND WHY WE GET TO WERE WE ARE....

Richard Wright is the most underrated one of the band. The eerie and headspace sounds of floyd are so much of Richard. I remember welcome to the machine and several species... songs as a kid.. and one of the days. Crazy music as a 7 yr old.
I don't think the word "underrated" fits, I think he was better a low profile guy. The people that is familiar to the band knows pretty well that Rick was fundamental, even David and Roger stated in several interviews that he was who had the major music skills. Cheers and thanks for commenting.

The way this is put together and the transition from commercial to Earl’s Court is spectacular. I was at the ill fated first show with the seating collapse, and was so relieved when they put an extra show on for us. That night will stay with me forever.
Wow, that show where tribune collapsed was one of the first unofficial footages from this tour I've got back in late 90s, in that moment I've never thought to be talking to one of the people who been there one day, such incredible! Everytime you read or listen to someone who affirms that Pink Floyd did nothing after Waters departure send him/her this link. Gilmour is the soul of the band.
Unfortunately Folks this song means way more than people realize specially if you watch the real video that gave this song the Tru meaning it stood for and that is why Keep Talking is one of my most meaningful favorite Songs ever and from Pink Floyd and it all started from what makes this more meaningful than ever in these uncertain times we live in now where at any more moment it can turn into a gobal catastrophe quickly and change are way of life again like in 2020 so this Stephen Hawking famous Commercial in the 90s that started it all for David Gilmour for this Legendary Song and Most Powerful meaning behind it saying as long as Mankind keeps communicating the human race still has a chance to turn it around no matter how close we get to another catastrophic global disaster.
Because unfortunately history keeps repeating itself and we never learn from the past until its to late because just like some of my family who faught in WW2 so this never happens again and that's why they now see all the ingredients are again like it was in 1937 only with hypersonic nukes and way more powerful and devastating warfare weapons on terrifying scale never thought possible making even Threads the Legendary most scariest and disturbing movie of all time look like Child's play unfortunately

I've heard this song many times and always had the feeling that someting is missing. I was damn sure, David Gilmour must heard that missing thing as well - therefore that missin voice or detail is not missing just the available versions doesn't have it.

This wasn't the first time David Gilmour made use of the talk box. The first time that happened was in "Pigs (Three Different Ones)" from Pink Floyd's 1977 album, Animals. "Keep Talking" from 1994's The Division Bell would be the second.
When physics and music meet ❤ as a hardcore fan of David Gilmour and Pink Floyd (majorly minus Roger) and a full blown nerd relishing in Stephen Hawking's books on the mysterious dimension of time, Singularity, black holes and my favourite of all, the Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle in quantum mechanics, this song is a Nirvana to me
