Congrats on the new rig mate .
I remember what a struggle it was to find the sweet spot on the 21 reign's rear suspension. Got the 23 now (pro 2) and fitted zeb ultimate and an float x2 perf. elite.
Much more balanced bike than the old model 😊

I ride the reing sx 2021 29. Bought it used for half prise last summer. Size L so litle big for my 175cm frame but arms and legs like jack moir it feels good. We have super rocky enduro trails here in finland and it feels gooood.

I always enjoy the dialogue and thought of your tuning videos. I have a very similar approach when tuning as well. Looks like your having a blast with the new ride, must be a better fit than the Banshee.

Hey man amazing ride! I was just curious about the weight of your bike and the size, I own a 2020 giant reign 29 1 in size M and it quite light for being a short travel enduro bike, it sits at about 15 kilos shy, what about yours?

So, at 190/191 cm I'm going for the L. The XL has a very long wheel base 1300. I have a Canyon AL6 2022 and it's hard on fast switch back's with a wheel base of 1280 and I'm feeling a little bit harder to control. I need to size down on the stem from 40 to 35 and the rise of the handlebar from 30 to 35/38. Hope for the best. But the geo of the Giant L it's spot on for me, i think! Have a blast on the new bike!

What sag are you running in the back? You may find more control on the switchbacks a little deeper if you’re a little high outback

@@mtbtelly5522 somewhere at 30% Sag. and I think it's a good compromise! it's just too hard to turn in the tight turns. a much too long base. or maybe I haven't gotten used to it enough. It's only this year in March that I've had the bike. instead, on steep descents, the train goes by itself!

@mtbtelly5522 you were riding Trek Slash before with reach 470 and this one is size medium with reach 455-460(based on flip chip), but Reign also seems to be a slacker bike. Is Reign plenty stable for you?

  • @fasttimeswithnubfactor

Be interesting to see the comparison after the coil swap. Killing it bud! Enjoy

Should be killer. Ran the Kitsuma last night and its butter, but I’m getting a marzocchi for it so I can get back on a fox spring. The ohlins springs seem to fall away at the end compared to a fox spring

@@mtbtelly5522 nice!! So given the recent Banshee, why a new bike so soon? Living the dream 😹

@@fasttimeswithnubfactor I haven’t been that happy with the performance on the Rune, it beats me up a little bit and pings around when things get rough. Its absolutely killer at Bennets and cobblers style trails, it rides like a wicked dual sus dirtjumper. But when the trails get fast and rough its hard to hang onto

      @@dezzydiamond7121 oh i know buddy,
I waited 6 months for a new Reign frame, the new 0 Frame was damaged on arrival(i had to wait untill they orderd me one from the next production run)
Im currently riding a canyon and even their support is fantastic and they dont even have a service centre here.

@Dezzy Diamond giant in nz is ridiculous, i know staff at a t7 aboslutely hate warranty work as its very hard to get an answer and they had to fight for me to get my replacement frame when it was a clear factory assembly issue..
My local giant dealer is a single guy shop an hes an absolute w⚓️
So he doesnt sell many bikes now that word has gotten out.
