Best Fortigate video i have ever seen..very interesting explanation. Easy to understand. I am new to Fortigate and Its really helpful. Please continue this Fortigate tutorials. Thank you...😍❤️
Thank you for creating this video Sir IgoroTech, it has helped me a lot. I am still new with FortiGate, your video really helped me, It is simplified, now I can catch up.
Instead of using ALL for traffic destinations, you should be more specific such as WAN, DMZ, etc while creating security rules. This is a better and recommended approach
Hi, I am planning to get a fortigate home series box. Is the setup and configuration steps in this video apply to any fortigate model as well? Also, in this video you setup the WAN as dymanic IP. What if my ISP is using PPOE? How the configuration look like? Thank you very much.
hi Jeffrey, I really appreciate this question, its very helpful to others. Yes, this is applicable to all FortiGate devices. just different WAN & LAN interfaces. If your planning to setup your PPPoE on the fortigate then change the addressing mode to PPPoE and input your ISP details (Username & Password). Just below that username and password you have an option: "Retrieve default gateway from server". Check that option and you don't need to configure the static route. Hope this answer your question. Stay tuned for more videos and feel free drop more inquiries. I'm happy to help. Thank you
@@IgoroTech-OfficialThank you very much for the replied, really appreciate it. One more question, does the Fortigate unit able to block devices using Mac address?
@@jeffreyooi1971 Yes, Fortigate has a lot of amazing features. To do this, Edit your LAN interface/s. Scroll down and under the DHCP server there's an option advanced. click on the plus sign and select "MAC Reservation + Access Control" or "IP Address Assignment Rules" (Depending on the Fortigate model) enter the mac address you want to block and select the action "Block".
WOW such a GREAT video sir....BUT....if I may request...spend a little $ and get a natural AI voice...this is can be hard for some to listen long term. Great work. Many thanks!!!
thank you very much for the video. It was very helpful!! Are there any videos regarding the first time registration/licensing for the devices as well as the HA configuration and operation? Thanks a lot !!
Hello, I have a fortinet hardware firewall. I want to give access of internet to 50 machines using there MAC address. But what i am doing now, I am adding every entry manually, it is very time consuming. Is there any way that I can upload all 50 MAC addresses at once? Please answer.
Greetings One question, can the current contacts be used at the same time, if so, can I have one with 110V and the other with 220V, or must both be the same?
hi there, yes, you can use both power connections but it is 220v only. 110v is too low for that device, it doesn't have enough voltage to run that device.
now I saw who is d igorotech! 😂🤣 "The guy who made networking so easy!" keet it up!
