I had to mail a 30"x10"x1.5" package for Christmas. Looking for boxes was more costly than the item was worth. Combined your 1st and 3rd technique and repurposed the box my cat food came in to be the perfect size in under 5 mins!! Thank you so much!

Boxes are expensive 😭 especially for small businesses who don't have the space or $ to buy huge wholesale amounts. Then some people complain about the price of shipping but it's like I'm not making the numbers up 😭 help

Good stuff I also make boxes from larger ones. The perforation box cutter is what i use also. You can also just use the back of the box cutter blade i.e. the dull side, to score the line, less chance of cutting all the way through.

The first box resizer technique best for those bigger box, it will be a lot faster as there is space inside for hand to go around. I won't bother with smaller box, better to just wait till you get the right smaller items then add padding. The second box resizer for hot wheels is awfully will take a long time. A lot easier to have the correct small box.

If you only have a regular box cutter, without the perforator... what i do anyway and it works well for me when i need to score something, i turn the box cutter upside down and use the dull side of the razor instead, if that makes sense... unfortunately i can't of a better way to word that.
Anyway this works well for me and I've never accidentally cut all the way through doing this, although you don't need anything more than medium pressure.
