- Today we’re opening up the brand new Home Depot Holiday 2023 Star Wars 7’ Darth Vader animatronic Prop! This is easily one of our favorite decorations this year, he looks amazing in person and is perfect for both our home haunt and Christmas celebration! We’re going to take him out of the box, do a quick time-lapse build, and then give you a full demo. I thought so too, they really did a great job on him! I’m wondering if it’s some sort of licensing issue, it just seems too weird that neither him or Yoda would have that option. If not licensing maybe it’s a challenge to make a switch change the audio options. Don’t know but I’m thrilled they made him either way. Thank you!!

You know when your cat falls asleep on its side and wakes up and its fur is crushed on the side of its head, that’s what his helmet reminds me of. Pretty cool though.
Hahaha exactly!! Fortunately Vader tolerated the hair dryer more than a cat would and it straightened right out!

Thanks! We converted our garage into a room to help hold all the crazy things me and Jackson seem to keep acquiring! Han Solo would be great! Jackson doesn’t know it but a Stormtrooper is coming out later this year. I can’t wait to see what they do after him! Me too, I hope he looks as good as Darth.You too!

Thanks! Yeah I was a little worried after seeing a couple of the shorts floating around but he looks amazing in person. I can’t wait to get hold of the Stormtrooper now. Hopefully you won’t have any trouble grabbing one in July

I thought so too, he’s so much more impressive than I expected! He definitely won’t fit in the tiny space I thought I was going to put him! Me either, hopefully before we go out of town this weekend, fingers crossed!

This thing is so awesome probably my prop of the year and also there actually is a stormtrooper prop coming out later this year to go with him!! You’ll have to get them and see how they look together
Mine too so far, it’s going to be really hard to beat! He’s really impressive in person. Yeah I'm definitely going to pick him up. My son collects stormtroopers so I figured it was better left as a surprise in the video. He’s going to love it!
if it was that easy to fix the helmet, you should remold the brow of the helmet to sit flush with the mask so there's no gap. it would look way better and more accurate.
Unfortunately I don’t think the hairdryer would allow me to remold anything. I think the heat just made it pop back to its original form
So Kool. They should make Boba Get & Hammerhead. Even Jabba the Hut. We grabbed Yoda last year so I guess we grab Darth this year. We see. 🤙💀🦾
I bet Boba won’t be that far behind, he seems like one they’d make. I would guess him and maybe C-3PO and R2. Hammerhead and Jabba would be dreams for me!!! If you liked Yoda I think you’ll love Darth, they really stepped up their game with this one
Do I just aim the hairdryer and it automatically goes back to where it’s supposed to be. Does he not have lights only?
I just aimed it at the area and held it in place while I did it. It just took a few seconds.He does have lights only and a step pad setting

Not right now, it sold out on May 4th. They will be getting more though, probably in July when the other Halloween animatronics drop.
Would it be easy to swap out the helmet?
Do you mean for a helmet of your own? If so you could probably do it but it would most likely require some major surgery on the included helmet. I don’t think it would be that easy but I wasn’t really looking at it that way when we were setting him up
How tall does the saber make him?
The tip of the saber is 7’
