I'm writing this from Japan. I remember our country got hit huge tsunami and thousands of lives were lost in 2011. Please stay safe. Don't underestimate power of nature. I'm praying for all people in Tonga safe.
I have lived in Oregon my entire life and I NEVER turn my back on the ocean and its power. Underestimating a tsunami is the worst thing you can do.

❄️🙏🏼 I survived the 2004 tsunami in Sri Lanka, I was about 50 meters away from shore.. unfortunately lost many relatives & friends & fellow creatures.. It was painful to rebuild. sending my thoughts to anyone who ever had to go through this.. stay in tuned with Nature we shall be respected as we understand Mother Father is now My Earth. 🎈🧸.

I was 15 years old when underwater volcano in celebes ocean...southern Philippines. Mindanao was hit by tsunami waves...the good it was low tide...because we could hear the roaring sounds of strong currents of water...about an hour after the 7 .3 earthquake we heard the sounds my grandmother ask me to open my window facing the ocean...i saw the dark and so high montraus wave rolling towards THE shore...thats time my grand ma shout to run on the higher ground...many dont make it to scape...because their still on their bed it was 12 .53am.8,23 1976... 🤔

Tonga itself is barely 6 feet above sea level. The whole country could have been submerged if the tsunami was any more taller. But with after shocks possible they could get another tsunami. Let us pray that do not happen. They are going to need all the help from the test of the world.
