Not really. You can get hot glue guns that are low temperature. They do the same job without burning your fingers.

I gotta say--this mirror is totally not my style and yet I have to say it is the best Dollar Tree DIY I have ever seen. I give it points for for both ingenuity and craftsmanship. So many Dollar Store DIYs are just gluing together a couple of items that look like, well, two Dollar Tree items glued together. This was darn clever, Denise!
