I work at Target and I see this multiple times every hour... using multiple cards to pay and cards being declined...most of the time they aren't buying necessities...we have customers I see DAILY and what they are buying is rarely a necessity...and they are spending $50-$100 EVERY TIME!

One time I grabbed a card that I had blocked and replaced because it was lost. I should have cut it but in a rush I grabbed it instead of my debit card. Of course it was declined. I apologized to the cashier for grabbing the wrong card but he didn't believe me at all LOL.

If I had followed the Ramsey method 20 years ago I would have had over a half million in retirement. It’s better late than never to discover the Ramsey method. My goal is to reach baby step 3 in less than a year 🤞

This episode was so amazing-the end where Rachel shared stories of “sick and tired” moments--I realized that I could relate to these strangers (but yet a kindred spirit!!) So thankful that my hubby and I have been working diligently on changing our “sick and tired” moments for the past 4-months! What a difference already (Praise God!)

My SAT moment was in July when I maxed out my credit card while on vacation, but managed to pay it off in August. Even though it's still open, I learned from this and will never let it happen again.

My sick and tired moment was when we moved to be with my parents in a different country ( while we still paying for our place) during the pandemic to be together, but they kicked us out in the middle of the pandemic because they were sick of our toddler messing up their place. They lied about helping us out financially to get us out of the door and we had to use all our savings to cover 2 places at once and beg people to let us stay for cheap, until it was time to fly back. We got full on Dave Ramsey after that and paid all our debt.

@rgzgriffz8383 Yes, Dave Ramsey brought so much peace in our lives. It was hard to get out of debt, but we paid all of my husband's student loans, his side-job (which he would never have done if not in baby step 2) turned recently into his full time job and the company is doing fantastic. I am able to go back to school debt free to do what I have been wanting to do for the last 20 years and we had another kid. Thank you for checking in!

This makes me cry, it’s so real and honest. Thank you Rachel. My family hit bottom when I was 16 but it took until I was 35 to stop being Dave Ramsey-ish. Rachel, I compare my life to you all the time 😂😭 I am grateful for what God has done in my life and for you and your family sharing your wisdom and guidance. I am so grateful I’m not where I once was and I’m practicing contentment in where I am❤🙏🏻☝🏻🕊️🎚🙌🏻🙇🏼‍♀️👑

I’ve never seen a CZcamsr do an ad for a board game, but Telestrations is one of my teen children’s favorite board games. (I’m more of a Scattegories person myself.) Our youth group rented a large van for a trip, and some of the other children told our children “don’t forget to bring Telestrations!” Some children brought other games, but they weren’t practical for the car. This one was! When recounting our favorite part of the trip, one of the parents said Telestrations.
As the holiday season is approaching and family get togethers are happening, this is a fun one to add! But the party version makes more sense than the original- 12 players vs. 6.

People!.... when RC was born Dave was deep in debt and filing for bankruptcy! He just taught his kids how to save, budget and win with money! So RC did all those thongs her dad taught her and had delayed gratification! Also im sure her and her hubby make $80-90 or more a year to help her process along!❤

Rachel can afford a nice trip but good advice. I think with her, it's just time to take off etc. She mentioned trips before and staying in nice places (I wont stay in many cheap motels, rather just save more) I learned being her Dad's age, many "Jones;" are in debt, haven't saved and others can afford it and that's great. Think about you. They aren't funding your retirement.

She can afford any trip she wants, but still good advice. If you keep saying, "I don't have an issue but " it loses people. Maybe a trip to 7 countries she wouldn't have the time off or stamina with 3 kids but she's gone on nice trips. Nothing to be ashamed of. She's rich and her dad is rich and siblings. Her world and neighbors are rich. They give her kids selling lemonade 10 or 20 dollars they way we would a 1.00. It's just the way it is. She can still want more but it's different than the average joe.

Money trapes or just not generating enough money to begin with? Behavior can't fix a don't make money issue. I know because I have seen it up close and personal and those making $600 to $1K per month can't beat those making $1,600 per month. The firs has almost 1/3 the buying power and the latter has 2/3 the buying power. Money works on math....... Ramsey people are full of it telling people to minimize their bills while their incomes are their issue.

This is exactly why you need a credit card at least until you have a large emergency fund. Silly Dave says cut them up first. I see where he is going but the world doesn't just stop rotating and change the timing of their billing just because you are trying to get out of debt.

having one is fine, for people that want to use them, they'll use them. I don't use physical card hardly ever, don't carry the one I use, but it's online on sites I use. I also have a 500.00 limit Amazon card that I carry with me so if someone steals it they can't get much but I can use it in a pinch if I need gas or transportation. I have 840 credit but never asked for more credit, since 500 is fine and I pay it as I go along.
