- This week we brought our dream home library into reality. We weren’t sure if we have enough books to fill all our shelves, but I think it turned out quite beautifully. We also finally have electricity in the rooms!

Definitely a sleeper couch with lovely colorful pillows a throw a side table with glass stained lamphade and a tea coffee biscuit snack table station. Reading next to a crackling fireplace.

You girls are amazing! I swear there is nothing you can't do. I absolutely love the library. All the books, decor and plants are beautiful. One of my pet peeves also is arranging the books with the pages out. How could anyone cover up all those beautiful covers. I also don't like when books are arranged with all the same colors together. This room has to be one of my favorites. Your little cottage is just adorable and you both should be very proud of the accomplishments you have made. Wishing you both happiness in your sweet little home.

Good ol' Ikea bookshelves. I remember I built two of them with my dad and we built them upside down and backwards. Long story short. We had to build them again 😂

Thankfully, the newer Billy shelves no longer use nails on the back. So much faster to build. One random tip from my dad, who worked construction for 40 plus years, be careful pushing in dowels by hand. There are a lot of nerves etc. in your hand you can tweak. Now, you just need a pair of Ikea’s Strandmon wing chairs, maybe in velvet green, a table in between and a hot cup of tea or two. Enjoy! The renovations are looking awesome!

Got multiple sets of Billy bookcases in my place. Full of books and other stuff which, one of these days, will be laid out better and tidier. One of these days :)

Great idea to apply trim to the bookcases as well, despite the cost, so they have a seamless appearance. Finally glad to see you unpack your moving boxes from the States.
