My prebuilt it arriving on Friday. I initially wanted to build my own pc but believe it or not, it was more cost-efficient to get prebuilt. I plan on tinkering with it and organizing it myself when it arrives, I also plan on adding more ram and upgrading it over time.
i tried making my prebuilt pc better but i couldn’t find the case online because it couldn’t run any games, and the cable management was really bad after a year of me not noticing. made it hard to get the parts out and what’s what. i’d rather build one which i am doing soon. i just don’t think prebuilt are worth it
with $1400 id get a proper gaming/streaming rig
Would've been funny if the PSU brand was Great Value haha
Short Answer: Yes, and Walmart should never sell gaming PCs ever again, looking at that PC gave me nightmares
Or they should sell popular brands like IBuyPower or related builders.
Kyle Anderson ibuypower and cyberpower are still overpriced trash. Prebuilts are terrible, it’s better and cheaper to build your own pc.
@@gteco3018 I know I've built my first PC 3 months ago but I'd rather trust IBP more than Walmart tho
Trashmart
@@gteco3018 that is exactly the type of shit that doesn't need to happen. Prebuilts have their place, people should not be required to pick up an additional hobby to use a computer. Yes, they typically cost a bit more (a shit ton more in this one case) than building yourself, but there is nothing wrong with buying a prebuilt system. If you think there is, go build your own car, it's not that hard.
I love building computers and built some pretty nice rigs in the day (although the best rig so far is my own personal computer). When I was at work I was talking about a rig I made in South Korea (best place to find cheaper prices in person than online if I am being honest) and a co-worker heard. He asked me if I could build him a computer since he doesn't know or have the patience in doing so. I agreed and gave him three different computer build list (basic gaming, mid tier gaming, and future proof gaming with best parts at the time). He bought all the parts for the future proof and let me put it together. Gave him a free copy of windows since I do have access to free window activation codes. I think he spent 1800 dollars on the parts where similar price computers would be lacking in the reliable strength in multiple areas.
Point is, if you don't want to build your own or pay more on Alienware, just ask a friend or see if someone you may know is willing to do it for you. I still got paid, but I didn't overcharge on the task.
What's interesting about Great Wall is that they also make the SF750 platforrm which is one of the best SFF PSUs on the market. PSUs are always such a rabbit hole when it comes to resellers and manufacturers and how they can range from a house fire in a box to supreme quality.
I saw a $1,600 one of these in the tech section. I wanted to inspect it but it wouldn't turn on for a demo (despite having a keyboard, mouse, and actually decent looking monitor connected) and there was no specs list.
The left side had glass so you could look, but it was way too close to the shelf wall, almost like they wanted to deter people from looking inside until they spent $1,600 on it.
Well, I managed to squish my face in there as well as my phone flashlight and get a glimpse inside of the machine. It had a GTX 1050 in it... It was a $1,600 computer.
Dino Dare no way 😂
imagine buying a 1,600$ Pc just to realize it has a 1050
I have a 1050 ti x gaming edition that I've had for years. I plan on getting a gtx 1080 soon. 1050 is good for high end titles. Some you might have to lower to medium but high is fine on GTA,fortnite, and most other games. But... For 1600 thousand dollars that should be an illegal scam
😂😂😂 Maybe if they upped it to a gtx 1080 but even then I could still prolly find better parts for that price.
I'm building a computer with a 2080 Super and 3700x for 1600 dollars. not even prebuilts that are in the 2 thousands stand up to that
@@jjt171 actually... I found a 1800 pre built with a 2080 and ryzen 3700.

Always had to lower everything which felt bad for having such a great card. Later had to replace psu due to getting errors before it got worse. So thank god for that. Love my first pc I built in jan. I tell you what though, I learned so much from that prebuilt.
i bought my first gaming pc which was ibuypower. it was just a basic $600 pre built one. i realized the one i bought had no proper air flow at all with only two fans. then i decided to transfer the hardware to my new case which is nzxt a lot better looking case for the price i paid. put it all together in a new case and makes me feel a lot better. proper air flow with new rgb fans and now new rgb ram. i will later on buy air cooler for it and little by little add onto it. your right the building is much more fun and a lot to learn from. i will be happy when my gaming pc is finished the way i want it. oh i bought everything from bestbuy. bestbuy dont always sell good products which i have learned. like walmart. but i will never buy anything electronic from walmart. what you showed me in this video that is the reason.

They both got the same model. Or that was the joke?
I just got my first gaming PC last year (I've had general use PCs and laptops before but that's about it). I was going to build it myself but quickly got overwhelmed trying to research everything (I've never built or even upgraded a PC before and I didn't have another PC to use as a reference, just my laptop). Plus I was scared of breaking parts due to inexperience. When I was younger, I ruined a hard drive by trying to remove it from my old computer and failing epically. So, I'm trying a different strategy. I bought a custom PC which I intend to upgrade bit by bit as the parts become obsolete. This way, I can learn about each component individually and build up my knowledge in bite sized chunks while using the components already in there as a reference point. As a result, by the time I eventually do have to replace the entire computer I should be proficient enough to build one from scratch. That's the theory, anyway. Hopefully it'll work out well.
I get that this video is two years old, but 3 years ago I bought my PC. It was branded from CyberpowerPC and the components (at the time) were priced at around 1700.
The PC Specs:
i7-8700k AIO LC (From Cyberpower)
MSI GTX 1070 (blower style i believe)
MSI z370 A-PRO Motherboard
600W PSU (never checked the brand of PSU)
2TB Toshiba HDD
120GB WD Green SSD
not sure about the case model but it has sufficient air flow sporting 3 front case fans, two 120-140mm extra slots (one on top, the other on bottom), 2 USB 3.0 ports on top, standard audio ports front and back for speaker blah blah, 4USB 3.0 on the back as well as 2 USB 2.0.
I added a monitor which made my prebuilt purchase around 2k. The monitor is an ASUS ROG VG248HQ 144hz 1080p 1ms response.
It's really worth it to build it yourself, if you need help you can always ask forums or a discord server. I went from zero knowledge on building to building pc's for multiple family members. For 1400 dollars i have a much nicer build and the satisfaction of doing it myself. : )

YourDarling I need help
DIY in any case is fun to learn if you have the interest, but fact is that most people aren't interested. We really do need more REPUTABLE PC building services out there so that less people are getting ripped off by Walmart, BestBuy, etc. There is also other factors to take into account. Location is a good example. If you live in Canada and you want to buy all your PC parts all at once and not wait around for deals to pop up, you're better off going with a prebuild from NZXT or CUK and paying the USD exchange rate, and you can even end up saving a little bit of money. I've tested this MULTIPLE times, where I've taken prebuilds from reputable dealers in the U.S and plugged the exact same components into PC Part picker, and a lot of times I'm finding the prebuilds are $50-$100 cheaper. The fact that these dealers can sell components at MSRP prices and ontop of the fact that Canada's markup prices are 10%-15% higher than the prices in the U.S, might as well go with a prebuild and pay the exchange rate.

You must be a complete fucktard if you think that’s ok or somewhat near acceptable, THATS A DAMN PRE-BUILD and screw ups like these should not be there and result in PC not booting, do you think that regular folks or kids understand this shit and how a PC works in terms of what is required for a PC to boot up? i don’t think so, even though it’s a simple fix.
RMO BeastGaming
I think the mobo might have an integrated gpu though. So it would boot but the buyer would probably be confused as to why their nintendo switch runs fortnite better than this 1400 dollar pc. Anyways, youre right, this mistake is completely unacceptable. To waste time of your customers time by having them wait days for a replacement even though it was just something trivial like a poorly installed graphics card is just ridiculous. Especially if it was walmart who put the thing together in the first place. I hope nobody buys those pieces of junk. Ive watched 2 reviews of walmart pcs and both pcs have a fuckup. With one a guy paid 2000 for a 1400 dollar product. The shipping was mixed up, and in this one, the pc wont even have a display when you plug it in and hook it up. Which is so dum
@@sblagg527 I lost my shit over your videos you posted
same lol
Awesome video man
You don't need to check the wiring to find out if they are USB 2.0 or 3.0.
Just look inside the connector to check how many pins/contacts they have.
USB 2.0 = 4 contacts
USB 3.0 = 5 contacts + 4 in the back (so they can also read USB 2.0)
OP = Overpriced.
Ive seen like 5 ppl make this joke already
@@monke_ofman748 it's not a fuckin joke. It's overpriced.

Linus tech tips did an exact review on this pc and man. Its like watching a devil and an angel review
I picked one of these up for $700, and am correcting a lot of these mistakes. I'm putting an msi z390 mobo in it just so I can use "overclocked" 3200 ram, and plan on an AIO and m.2 drive in the near future.
Dont buy a "quality" product for a company that is all about "cheap"ness

@@LoganSkylarCox definitely not, at least not in Europe
Kinda sad how bad they really cheap out of everything and a 1400$ PC with ketchup and mustard cables I would be mad.
Great Wall is a reasonably good PSU supplier (at least from my memory) and are often used by Chinese DIY builds with a relatively tight budget. However, this specific PSU does look like one of their lowest end units. I would be fairly comfortable with a higher-end Great Wall PSU, but this specific one does not look promising enough to me.
My DTW-2 is still going strong, I appreciate all these youtubers bashing these computers. I got mine on rollback for $899 xD
2 years later and she chuggin' along.
Title: Did I waste 1400$ on Walmart gaming pc?
Me: yes you obviously did .....
A question anyone can answer
I looked at cyberpower PC and you could get an 8700k, Z390 motherboard, better ram, 1070 and probably better psu for the same price. For $200 more you get 1070 ti and 9900k
Game cord I answered the title before watching the video
Quick somebody ask for something else
Because Steve beat him to it
@16:48 Kyle tinkers with his hardware all the time. Whole community of guys blowing off kids and family to play with their hardware. Lol
I love how optimistic Kyle is in the beginning of the video.
Tech CZcamss the people responsible for keeping Walmart & Amazon pre built computers in business.
I like the looks of the logo, case and the box it came in, but the specs are another story lol

since when did verge sell pcs?
yeah fr dont steal comments
unoriginal, someone already posted that comment, get your own material.
100x better than verge's build
People here saying he stole this comment but like it's not exactly a unique idea
Since when were CZcams comments copyrighted? Don't tempt the algorithms Frodo.
heres a tip for people who have a cyberpower pc with the mesh on the bottom of the front panel take off the mesh for better air flow
