I think the first dance with the men was prerecorded and then it stitched together the live shot of her standing with the girls. The hate would have come to Jennie no matter what the song was called although the Solo title im sure didn't help. Blinks were mad about not getting an OT4 comeback for a while and she was in the middle of being called lazy unfairly in my opinion. Jennie looks great in red I have to agree.

Great Reaction Guys! But YG or Jennie didn't have to explain anything the lyrics and the M/V were pretty cut and dry In explaining that Solo is about a breakup! Solo was filmed in London, England and Jennie even made a Solo diaries to explain the story and the whole process of her music M/V! Solo came out 11/12/2018 and three months later they went to America on 02/11/2019 (Rosè Birthday) to promote their world tour and their invitation to Coachella! As for 'The Show' each member had a Solo for The Show! Jennie's Remix of 'Solo' and Rosè 'Gone', Jisoo's 'Habits' cover and Lisa's Remix of 'Say So'! BlackPink did not sugar-coat anything about how hard and ugly it is to be a trainee! Even though YG was very hard on BlackPink as trainee's they still were not prepared for the toll that the World Tour took on their bodies! It's kind of sad that the fans wanted a comeback after the World Tour but these beautiful ladies were just too exhausted!

Definitely an amazing performance, but I still think Blackpink's mashup stage of Solo, Ddu-Du Ddu-du and Forever Young is the best version, which I highly recommend.
Also, Jennie was bring criticized for her "lazy dancing" before she released Solo, caused by multiple injuries (fans had no idea about it at the time) so her solo was supposed to redeem her reputation. Instead, it just made the haters of "lazy" Jennie even angrier because they considered it preferential treatment, so they started to call her lazy and spoiled. It was tough, but her new rap kind of addresses some of that.

If you listen closely, the intro is a synthesized, melodic version of "bichi naneun solo."
Also, The Show was an 'edited' live performance. It's like shooting a live music video. The girls sang for real but the performance was edited for cinematic purposes. So I guess they took a couple of takes for every song or something.

great reaction guys, glad you could see the confusion about this song and what its meaning could have been at the time. SOLO was said to be not a love song, so that means it was a break up song, and in the original MV, Jennie is seen taking off the Pink top leaving her in Black while in the Laundromat. Was BlackPink breaking up, no one knew. I am glad they are still together, and looking forward to there next come back.
