HONEY, THERE'S A RAM IN OUR POND!!! I POND-ER HOW IT GOT THERE

- Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching!!! Today, Ethan and I get an early morning wake-up call from one of the local police and fire departments. This is one of those calls that we never look forward to, due to the fact that they expected there to be someone deceased inside the vehicle. For those of you who know my channel, you know that this video would not be posted if there had been someone deceased in the vehicle. We take our flagship Peterbilt 389X with a Miller Industries Century 1150R heavy towing and recovery rotator unit and our Peterbilt 337 with Miller LCG12 to the incident. This job presented many challenges, even if there weren't the possibility of someone inside the vehicle. First, it was in a pond, on the far side of a fence. And, directly over the fence was our ARC nemesis, the overhead power lines. So, once we remove it from the pond, we have to "thread the needle" with a Dodge Ram pickup truck!!! Thank you, God, for blessing our family and our business. Watch as we continue to receive God's blessings. There is much more to come!!! I hope you enjoy this video!!!
We have a difficult and dangerous job and we take it very seriously, that doesn't mean we can't have fun and enjoy our work. We strive to be polite, professional, efficient, and safe...and still can have fun. I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

My common analogy, "there are many ways to reach 10". I could have approached this (any) job several different ways. The approach method is important, but more important is achieving the desired result, safely.
Again, a very special thank you to all my viewers, family, and friends who having taken the time to show their support. May God bless and protect you all!!!

Love the first responder crowd in the background watching you do your thing. Everyone is so professional and big respect for each other.
Ethan's head set not working!!!
I just want to add something. Yesterday here in CT we lost an officer. State Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier. I personally didn’t know him. He was on a traffic stop when someone struck him. He leaves behind a wife and young children. Please pray for his family and friends. And I can’t stress this enough please slow down and move over. 💔. Thanks.
Thoughts with his family and friends. You are supposed to go home at the end of your shift. R.I.P. Aaron.
It is so heartbreaking that this happens more often than most know about. Anyone who works around live traffic is at risk. We can light it up, wear reflective gear and park emergency vehicles as blockers but still are in danger. We always pray for highway departments, emergency response personnel, towing and recovery operators and especially law enforcement. Distracted drivers are increasing exponentially and never think they could be the one to destroy a life. Thank you for watching and God bless.
He's in my prayers.
Thoughts and prayers 🙏 to all involved
Prayers for this family and fellow officers!
Thank you Ron, it takes a lot of morals and respect to not post videos involving fatalities.
Thank you for the support. Thank you for watching and God bless.
@@RonPratt While I respect your position on fatalities, there is a counter argument; provided the families involved are o.k. with it showing the consequences of poor decision making, especially by teens or other younger drivers may go some way to saving lives. At the end of the day it's your moral compass in the driving seat so as always it's your call.
One of the main things on why I'm subscribed to his channel. I'm even subscribed for seeing how they work in towing and support a channel in my homestead. I live about 2 1/2 hrs northwest of him
@@raysutton2310 I'm a retired Firefighter/EMT and I agree with you.
If you watch diving recovery teams on YT, they blur out anything of a personal nature in their videos
A Ram in their pond? There'll be a pond in the Ram, too
Hahaha, yes there was a lot of that too . Thank you for watching and God bless.
Don’t you just hate when those things keep jumping the fence and then commit suicide?
“I pond-er how it got there” that’s a good one Ron.
The practice and cross training you all do with the different agencies really pays off in situations like this. It was wonderful to see everyone working together to get that truck back on its wheels on dry land. I also want to echo what others have said about the posts at the end of your videos. I look forward to reading them as much as any other part of your content. God bless you, your family and your company. This world needs more people like you in it.
Wow, thank you for the kind comments and support. This fire Chief is truly one of the finest. She manages the scenes with calm and precise operations. It is a pleasure working with her department. We enjoy and encourage all types of cross training to elevate the quality of service we all can provide. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Excellent job. Water recovery, power lines, power pole, fence, tight quarters. As you say, "Beautiful!"
Thank you very much! Thank you for watching and God bless.
His “Arc” nemesis is always lurking! 😂😂
Well it could have been cold and snowing as well! LOL!
The morning mist adds a certain eeriness to the scene. 😊 🇨🇦
I agree. It is quite calming though. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Yay. Tator is on the scene. My grandbabies made a song all the years we been watching you every time they watch. They named the Tator "Big Tate". You videos keep them quiet and spellbound. They sing Big Tate to the rescue,Big Tate to the rescue. Big Tate to the rescue go Big Tate now go Big Tate now. And then a big Yay. We enjoy your videos so much. God bless you and yours.
Yayyyyy for Big Tate ❤❤❤❤
I love that they enjoy the videos and even created a song!!!!!!! Big Tate would be proud to have a song after him. Thanks for allowing them to watch the channel and trusting me with providing clean entertainment for all ages. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Indeed!!!! Thanks for watching and God bless.
Ron keep the videos rolling really enjoy them im 25yr retired wrecker driver seen and worked 29 fatalities in my life as a towman! Never forget them all!!! Stay safe out there!!
Nice recovery, as always. I have been praying that you all were safe during the storms and flooding in your area. Thank you for sharing the video. Please stay safe, and God bless.
Thanks so much. My wife and I were actually enjoying a much needed vacation in Mexico. During our flight home, we were in a holding pattern around St. Louis because of the weather. Our home and the homes of our employees and family were undamaged, thankfully. I know others were not and there is widespread devastation in the area. Thank you for checking on us. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Your thoughtfulness and courtesy with the other responders in this situation is awesome. You set the bar high in demonstrating how we all should act when dealing with others, and especially with team members. Thanks for doing things so professionally.
Stay safe and healthy.
Thank you so much for the kind comment. I was raised to be respectful at all times. Thank you for watching and God bless.
The comment at 9:23 makes my heart happy. Wreck scenes are so dynamic, with lots of personality’s. Sometimes everyone isn’t a fan of everyone, but you would never know it when there’s a job to get done. Plus it makes me realize I’m not the only one who has to remind my guys of the same thing!
Yes there are always high emotions running when on scene. Someone doesn't like someone, someone is having a very bad day and commentary that ignites things isn't needed. My philosophy is like the Penguins of Madagascar....."smile and wave boys, smile and wave." Thank you for watching and God bless.
Loving the PUNDS Mr Ron Pratt 😊😊😊😊
Thank you, thank you very much (said in my best Elvis voice). Thank you for watching and God bless.
Punds or PUNS.??
😂😂😂😂😂
Gone fishing caught a Red Bass ! 😂😂😂 I hope an pray no one was injured or worse ! God Bless you all ! Very good recovery there !
Mr Ron can finesse it very well with the Rotator. Very respectful in the event there had been a body in the truck. Ethan is doing very well in the family business and I am certain that Mom and Dad Pratt are extremely proud of Ethan. STAY SAFE OUT THERE.
It is always a tense situation when there is a potential fatality. We were so grateful this wasn't the case. Ethan is learning and does very well on his own. He is a bit more standoffish when Dad is at the helm though. I was too. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Your viewers everywhere know that you have so much knowledge on all aspects of your job know that the viewers always have your back.
Thank you and we are always grateful for the support of the CZcams family. Thanks for watching and God bless.
From The Netherlands, i watch your video's with pleaser. Stay save and may god be with you. Cor
Hello to you! Thank you for the kind comment. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Fifty years ago I had a garage and a small Jeep Universal and a 1955 one ton Ford Wrecker. Twice I did fatalities and the I never did another wreck, only repair jobs . You are a stronger man them me.
Sometimes words can never express how you feel in your heart when you see something like this or worse . Prayers for you and first responders.. 🙏🙏
Thankful no one was in it!
Yes, we were as well. Any day where no one is seriously injured is a great day. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Wish more towing channels were like this
Thank you so much. For every critical comment, there is one like yours and we all appreciate that so much. Thank you for watching and God bless.
@@RonPratt you're very welcome sir. God Bless
@@RonPratt
Yes Sir I agree with that statement.
The title actually got a chuckle out of me, good job whoever wrote that!
It was a team effort of me and my wife. We try.....LOL. Thank you for watching and God bless.
@RonPratt i chuckled at that also. Ya'll have great sense of humor. I also busted out laughing when you threw and landed the slings on the hook. That was a 1 in a billion shot.
Another great recovery. Take care Pratt and Co.
Thank you for watching and God bless.
Ron, you are truly a professional with the best work ethics. I too have tried to pass that on to my family and younger coworkers but it is a challenge at times. You are a patient and good man.
Thank you so much for the kind and supportive comments. They are appreciated more than you know. Thanks for watching and God bless.
You made the comment about not showing an ugly situation, my comment is thank you.
That’s 1 idea & the other is that I’m glad that you have an angel in your pocket.
Thank you Sir for this video
Some want to see the tragedy and hype, while I prefer to keep the channel family friendly. I wouldn't want to further injure a family that has lost someone. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Ron I would thank you for being respectful towards families and loved ones of people that have been injured or killed in MVA there are lots of utubers that want to show everything not caring about who might see the video or the trauma that these videos may cause. THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for the support. My goal is not to make someone's day or life worse than when I arrive. They are already having a traumatic day. I will never cave to the requests for showing fatalities. I wouldn't want my loved one's scene all over social media either. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Glad y’all did that training this was exactly the type of situation the water recovery training was for!
I really enjoy watching your videos. I’m thankful nobody was inside but I’m praying he is found still alive.
Me too, that would have altered everything for a family. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Good Morning There My Good Big Bro Ron Pratt Sir & I Am Still Praying For You & All Of You're Whole Family & All Of You're Whole Staff & Everyone That Is Involved In The Automobile Accident
Thank you so much for the prayers. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Thank God no one was in the truck. I’m praying however it stays that way. 🙏
There were no serious injuries and we were all thankful for that. We also appreciate all the prayers we can get. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Beautiful hazy dawn btw. Thanks!
I agree. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Very nice. Job well done.
For many of you guys who don’t know what the device Ethan uses to get the strap down is, it’s not for that purpose. It’s a Fifth Wheel pin puller. It’s meant to reduce the distance the driver has to reach to pull his or her pin when dropping his trailer. This way, the driver doesn’t have to get underneath his or her trailer and physically grab his tractor’s pin handle to pull the pin. I think it’s a pretty smart idea.
Ram in the Pond, Pond in the Ram, Ron's Favorite fishing pole, the ARC Nemesis lurking and a Fence....yea, typical Tator Fishing Trip. Glad No one on was inside the truck and hope they are OK. As always, nice work to Ron and crew. Stay safe, keep up the great work and God Bless!
All the challenge boxes were checked on this one. It was a great recovery. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Crazy how some stuff happens. Great work there.
Yes, thanks. This was a challenging and fun one since no one was seriously injured. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Thanks for another great video Ron and Ethan.
It was super interesting and informative to watch.
Wow. Lot to that recovery Ron. Get it out of the water and then up the bank and then over the fence with power poles in the way and then get it upright and then loaded on the flatbed. Wow and wow. Lots of careful steps there well done by yourself and Ethan. Job well done!!!!!!
I trust the driver is ok and not in the lake. Hopefully the people in the truck are ok.
You did a great job on this recovery Ron. Excellent work.
The retired Air Force veteran.
Thanks for your service, Sir.
First, thank you for your service Sir. Second, Yes it was a challenging one but we love those. We are just grateful no one was seriously injured. Thanks for watching and God bless.
👍 Top Job...Professionell !...👋👋 from Germany 🇩🇪
Wow, thanks! Thank you for watching and God bless.
You know, after all these years, No. 11 will still make you shake your head. What a versatile piece of equipment! I also believe that "Ole Tator" is sending a message to No. 18, don't get too big for your britches! Seriously, great job guys! Ron, you work the controls like a maestro! Murfreesboro, TN
29:35 Blocks would have worked a lot better if they were slightly longer, and 4x4’s. I keep a set on my bed at all times for this very reason!
Great job guys!
Thank you for watching and God bless.
Having watched your vids, Dustin, I was thinking the same thing because it always amazes me how you walk a vehicle with blocks up the bed.
😂😂😂😂😂 sounds funny you telling Ron Pratt how to do it 😂😂😂😂 either way love both y'all channels be safe out there guy's I've never got into the CZcams side of towing other than watching ive towed a long time but would get roasted for bad videos im sure
As Ron always says, there’s many ways to get to 10. You have a way to get to 10 and Ron has a way to get to 10.
The dad puns are priceless. 😂
I'm very happy nobody was in it, of course. I'm also happy that you showed the process of checking, I think it's good and reminds us that sometimes there is somebody in it, even if you don't show those videos and that we should all be careful driving.
Yes, we should all be careful driving and watching for emergency personnel on the sides of the road. Thank you for watching and God bless.
@@RonPratt and like Ron and myself, ALWAYS 0.00 BAC at least while driving
Bless you Ron! Keep up the great work!
Thank you kindly. Thank you for watching and God bless.
@@RonPratt 👍
Thank you so much for the video please post more videos a week everyone included you and me and the viewers will appreciate it God bless you and the family and the business
Jeepers, Ethan, be careful with that cable - you're going to scratch the paint! lol At least with the front window busted out, the breeze will help dry the upholstery. Haha! Given the lack of dead bodies, I suppose you've had much worse recoveries than this. Well done, Ron!
We have had worse recoveries, unfortunately. There are a few no one will ever see because there were victims still in the vehicle. It is always a great relief when no one is seriously injured. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Prayers for the family
Good morning Mr Ron. Have a great day.
Good morning! Thank you so much. Thank you for watching and God bless.
@@RonPratt be safe out there today. God bless to you and the crew
The way Ron threw that rim sling he must be good at horseshoes or corn hole.
Good job catching the Ram by the horns.
I assure you, it was pure luck and not skill. I can't even win a stuffed animal at the fair.. LOL Thanks for watching and God bless.
Keep up with the good work love watching you on CZcams God bless
Thanks for watching and God bless.
Nice catch i did not know it was ram season
It's always Ram season in our area. We have caught a few over the years. Thank you for watching and God bless.
You did another fine job Ron, as usual! Great video!👍❤️🙏
I appreciate that. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Awesome job guys
I just gotta say that I absolutely love the titles you come up with for these videos! The subtle dad jokes make me have to stop and pond-er a little bit 😂😂(ok ok, I know… I’ll see myself out now!)
My wife and I often work as a team to create the titles. It's a fun process when we are feeling creative. LOL Thanks for watching and God bless.
Whoa! That was definitely a messy recovery!! as a former volunteer firefighter and EMT along with being a former Towing and Recovery operator I was hoping those guys would quickly rinse off the wheels of that ram to make for a safe journey back to your shop and reduce the mud falling off the truck travel down the road.
Mr Ron Pratt I just want to say I love your videos. You an everyone you work with do soo good with recovery’s we don’t see some of the stuff up here in Kentucky like you do 😊
I appreciate that. We work hard to promote a good rapport with all other agencies and within our staff. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Great Job you guys such awesome work ,, yes I hope everyone is ok , scary accident,Thank you for sharing your video's.
I just saw your rotator truck on ats and then got a notification from your channel. I love it
Great!!! Welcome to the channel. I'm so glad you enjoy the content. Thank you for watching and God bless.
You need to add a water tank n hose to the hazmat trailer Ron 😂
Yes, at some point we will. One step at a time. Thanks for watching and God bless.
That was a great recovery as always.
I love your videos and watching the entire process. It is very interesting. Great job by all! And as always God bless.
Thank you very much! Thanks for watching and God bless.
Many of your videos involve working with law enforcement and fire agencies. I always appreciate how well all of you work together. There is mutual respect and common
understanding. It makes the job go so much better. This was a tricky one, with power lines
overhead, and a fence to contend with. Did the driver just slip away and disappear?
He's in a lot of trouble, if he did. The Sheriff will be knocking at his door.
Although the jobs like these are a challenge, we LOVE them. No one was seriously injured, obstacles to overcome and working jointly with other agencies checks all the boxes. Thanks for watching and God bless.
I'm really loving the testimonials that you post at the end of your videos. They are beautiful reminders that we're all here for each other as Jesus was for us and still is through The Holy Spirit. Let's remember that we all need each other and that we don't walk alone. Amen and God bless.
Thank you and I am glad you enjoy the posts. I agree they are beautiful reminders of how blessed we are. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Dang it Ron. When spinning it around you dented the bed on that otherwise mint condition Ram! lol
Another perfect recovery. Stay safe.
Super job I enjoyed it
Thanks for watching and God bless.
Another great video Ron
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Glad there was no serious RAMifications! 😂
Thanks for sharing ron
That intercom is awesome.
Ahhhh so thats where Bill Paxton's truck landed after getting tossed by the tornado.
Love watching what you do for years now. Hope someday you find a way to include all headset communications. Not just your end. God bless you and yours!

WOW 😮 nice truck to you two make it look Eze nice work 👍👍👍👍👍🤗
ive been watching for a while, so i knew that since the video made youtube, there wasnt anyone in it. but seeing that carseat still put a lump in my throat
You are correct. Every time we see a carseat, out hearts skip a beat. Not all are so fortunate to come out of something like this unscathed. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Always safe and do a 👍👍😊👍
Yes, thanks. Thank you for watching and God bless.
This was an interesting one. As for Ethan's wish for a trash line up front. Maybe their new pumper will have it when its all said & done.
We always have a wish list a mile long lol. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Lol yes I know the feeling godbless you all.
Again, rotators are awesome MacInnes... I doubt you could have (easily) done this job without one...
Great job, Pratt Team! +1 Like

You got that right! Thank you for watching and God bless.
Have a great weekend!!
Same to you. Thank you for watching and God bless.
what a machine!
Who ever put the truck in the pond definitely had to find a Rest Room afterwards. That had to be one Hairy Ride. Good Job, Pratt's.
I'm sure they didn't wait for a restroom!!!!!!! LOL Thank you for watching and God bless.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO RON 😊
I'm so glad. Thank you for watching and God bless.
I’ve been away for awhile and it’s nice to see you all. Hope all goes well with the “Ram.” Cute title for this video. I was looking for a large goat! 🐐Take care out there. Many thoughts and prayers!🙏🥰
A large goat might have been an easier recovery LOL. Thank you for watching and God bless.
@@RonPratt I’m happy you found humor in such a dangerous situation.🙏🥰
I am sure the Ram did not survive, off to the scrapyard it goes......
Great title
Thank you, my wife assisted with that. Thank you for watching and God bless.
He put in mopar mode and flew it over the fence lol
That was a great move to get it out
Ron you are popular in the towing business every time I watch tow geek or Tow Truck Dustin on here they say we got to do Ron's way lol .
Is it just me, or is anyone else confused how the Ram truck landed in the pond? 🤔I didn't see damage to the fence. Was the truck driven on the pond side of the fence and then rolled over into the pond? However it happened, you guys sure had me on the edge of my seat as you maneuvered the Ram over the fence and under highlines. Way to go! 👍👍
He said the damage to the fence was farther down the line
I enjoy watching your videos always something different how’s the new truck going
Thank you. We love the new truck. Ethan just did a tow from Cape to Columbia, MO last night and got in about 12:30 this morning. We are very happy with it. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Good shot Ron
Thats gotta be heart stopping hearing someone might be in their..
Glad no one was
It is and that has sadly been the story a time or two before. We were all grateful the truck was empty of passengers. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Ron I've seen a few uncensored photos of Fatal Motor Vechile Acidents online . Many of these so called disrespectful websites show people's descesed loved one's online . Daaam those trucks are high tech now, full of touch screens and everything.
Interesting looking exhaust work on that truck..
Thank you for watching and God bless.
