    Thanks for the video. very informative. I just bought mine (the 6L and 2.5L ones with the steamer) same model as shown here. The maximum level is it for when having liquid in the pot?(i.e. making soup) Or for every food under pressure this is the max volume? Also reg. the steam icon on the control valve? Can I release pressure from there as well and if yes how? Many thanks in advance

      @EverythingKitchens  Před 2 lety +2

      Hey Emma 👋 Congrats on getting the best pressure cookers ever! Here are some answers to your questions:
      - The maximum level line should not be gone over with liquids or food to ensure proper pressure is reached inside the cooker. For foods that foam or rise (e.g. rice, legumes, broths, or dried vegetables), 1/2 of the volume of the cooker should be the maximum when cooking under pressure.
      - The steam setting is only for that, turning the cooker into a traditional steamer with no pressure buildup at all. If you want to release a small amount of pressure from the cooker, gently pull the quick-release trigger to release pressure.
      I hope you love your Fissler cookers! They also make 🔥 cookware in stainless steel and non-stick that last more than 3 batches of scrambled eggs! Check them out at our site here: www.everythingkitchens.com/fissler-cookware-pressure-cookers-accessories-lids.html

      @@EverythingKitchens Thank you very much for the fast response. Really helpful! I thought that the steamer on the control panel serves both ways. Either to steam under no pressure or release the pressure also from there. But today that I cooked for the first time, did it as you suggested (from the handle) and worked beautifully.
      One question that cannot find in the manual/troubleshooting: When under pressure the optimal cooking temp is when the ring in the control valve is green-then I reduced heat (cooking on gas stove) and continued cooking for the remaining time (vegetables on the steamer). But during that time, there was some noise coming out of the control valve (without steam being released) Never went to red as heat was low. Is this noise normal during cooking?

    • @EverythingKitchens
      @EverythingKitchens  Před 2 lety +2

      @@emmabee5027 Glad we could help! I'm assuming the sound is like a small amount of air bubbling/escaping. I believe that the sound you are hearing is the Fissler regulating the pressure on the inside. If you are maintaining the green line you should be good! If there was a loose seal or defect in the cooker, it would not come up to pressure. I hope this helps!

      @@EverythingKitchens Yes! that's exactly what I meant. That's great then-because I was a bit concerned as it was the first time I used it. Glad that this is normal and now that you explained it, it makes absolute sense. Thank you so, so much for taking the time to respond! p.s. the meat soup I made today was nothing compared to the ordinary beef soups. Not only did it take nearly 80% of the actual cooking time but the taste... oh the taste! You could actually taste different levels of taste in the carrots, the potato etc.. and the meat so tender and juicy. Thank you for this experience and for the quality you offer!

      According to user's manual, yes, you can use the control valve to release the pressure gradually. This guy did not study his lesson quite well.

    My cooker is not building pressure please let me know how to fix this

    • @EverythingKitchens
      @EverythingKitchens  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Hello! There are a couple of things you can try to troubelshoot (as we have had this happen once before to us). First, make sure to take the silicone gasket out, clean it very well with dish soap, and re-install. Dirty or incorrecrtly installed gaskets will prevent pressure from building up.
      The second thing to try (which is what fixed our fissler) is to remove and re-install the handle from the lid. There are just a couple of screws holding the handle to the lid. remove these and then re-tighten the screws. Sometimes a loose (or slighlty misaligned) handle will prevent the cooker from coming up to pressure. Please let us know if you have any more questions and we will help you the best that we can!

      Mike, it's easy to clean as a standard stainless steel pan, I've had no issues cleaning it, including the steam vent area. Beans work great in the pressure cooker as well! You can shop Fissler here: www.everythingkitchens.com/fissler-cookware-pressure-cookers-accessories-lids.html

    • @EverythingKitchens
      @EverythingKitchens  Před 2 lety +4

      abo, you may have to loosen the handle with a screwdriver and then re-tighten to fix the issues (we did have to do this to one of our cookers). You can test to see if there are still leaks by just pressure cooking some water (pot filled up to the minimum liquid line). If this does not fix the issue, contact Fissler as your new cookware should be under warranty. Contact here: www.fissler.com/us/company/contact/
      I hope this helps!

    des " cocottes minutes" ? j en ai trois à la maison depuis des lustres et je cuisine beaucoup ; he bien , faut admettre que ma petite fissler a toujours été problématique sur la montée en pression ; c est moins pratique et moins fiable que mes Seb alu ou inox à vis . le systeme de fermeture automatique de la Fissler ne fonctionne pas à chaque cuisson . Certes c est facile à nettoyer et à ranger dans les placards mais c'est moins rapide que les bonnes vieilles SEb . Or c 'est bien ce qu on attend d'un autocuiseur à pression .

      We had a similar problem with one of our pressure cookers. We took the handle off (with a basic screw driver) and reinstalled the handle and that fixed the issue! Try that. If it is still not working, contact Fissler for warranty work www.fissler.com/us/company/contact/
