We drive under the Northern Lights towards Dawson. The place of the Klondike Gold rush, where roads and cabins are still haunted by the ghosts of the past.
We enjoy our time in this amazing place and feel like being transformed into a John Wayne movie. Houses are crooked and roads are left unpaved.
This place is mysterious and oh so fascinating all at once. A place that you have to visit in your life.

We are Peter & Sophie a German couple who found a new home in the Canadian Wilderness. What a wonderful childhood little Kato is having. He won’t remember these years, of course, but later ones he will. I am surprised at how much of my kids’ childhood they don’t remember, which is a shame, as we lived for a few years in the Australian Outback.

Dawson a magical place but was a very tough way of life for the early settlers ! It has a rich history and just a super cool place to visit ! Sophie I love your narrations and your personality ! Great video! You must have come late in the season though, as there is to much light to see stars, or the Aurora until late in the summer - mid August at least. I love the long days, that are sadly getting shorter now by 7 minutes per day.

Great videography Peter. Loved the shot at the end of the ferry crossing. Was that the motorhome on deck? If so....how the heck did you capture that shot? Dawson City looks like a living relic from the not too recent past.
