Excellent @Ben, another interesting video, really Adaptalux is amazing, I recommend, and continue to say, that for me was an excellent investment. I would like to see a video of the fair that you did, and I do not know if Adaptalux and the team, presented some of my photos, but for the next year, I give permission to present my photos if you like to do it, I would be very proud and I like to see. May one did thank the excellent videos very informative of the potential of Adaptalux, and continue with the great and excellent work, another thing the suitcase of transport of Adpatalux is very beautiful, congratulations. From Portugal Cheers Pedro Venâncio.
I liked the ideas very much and yes the Adaptalux was much better than the ring light, I wonder what A Adaptalux flash would do to a shoot like this. well done I have stopped receiving your emails & I do not know why, can you help.
They might be going into your spam folder, add info@adaptalux.com to your contacts and they should come through. If not, drop us and email and we can check our end.
I notice when I shoot a ruby it comes out so much violet then it looks to the eye I noticed yours picked up that different shade when photographed as well
Ruby will it's a partial colour change stone and shows more so on lower grade included stones such as this one. No photographer though I'm jewelery learning photography can I ask what the spider armed light thing is please I need one
can I ask what is the lens your using I may have missed it but I am having issues getting close. best lens for it I have is a cannon 100mm macro and isn't doing it as well as I would like.
It might just be me, but I found the background music a bit distracting. I have had a stroke and one of the difficulties it's left me with is tuning out background noise, so as I just said, it could just be me, but it might be worth considering. Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the video.
@@Adaptalux I agree with Ash. It is SO distracting! There is a pop-like sound that is similar to the one my phone emits when I have a text. I spent the whole of the video checking my phone for texts. Finally realized it was the backgroud "music," so unnecessary to the video.
WHO TF WOULD DISLIKE THIS VIDEO
Roughly 2% of people apparently! Photography is pretty subjective!
That's the way to shoot jewellery too, but I've been doing it differently for 15 years)
Thanks for the excellent video, Ben.

Yes it's curious, I plan to shoot some more jewellery soon and might investigate this a little more next time.

We use a 90mm Tamron and a 100mm Tokina lens for most of our macro work.
Have you tried focus stacking for your macro work?
Yes, regularly. Check out some of our more recent videos.
Hi
What it name for light
thanks
Hi Sonie, the lighting is the Adaptalux Studio, you can find out more here - adaptalux.com/studio/
what camera are you using here?
It's a Nikon D5600
It might just be me, but I found the background music a bit distracting. I have had a stroke and one of the difficulties it's left me with is tuning out background noise, so as I just said, it could just be me, but it might be worth considering. Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the video.
Thanks for the feedback Ashley, I've toned it down a lot in recent videos, I'd love to know how you get one with one of the new ones.

What’s the name of the beat?🔥
do u have tips for cannon d800?
Not a camera we have here... I imagine it's not much different from other Canon models for with there are lots of overview videos available.
@@Adaptalux thanks
What is that LED lighting unit called?
It's the Adaptalux Studio, you can find out more here - adaptalux.com/studio/
.... the light is way tooo harsh ... my thought
Thanks for the input, I'll be playing around with more lights and diffusers next time, might get some shots that are more up your style!
Getting a nice image then noticing your own clothing reflected in the ring. Ugh!
It happens all the time, review your pics early and often till you have everything figured out!
Try making a cut out on a white board to photograph through.
@@SuperFirebird3000 That seems like a good solution. Thanks.
