if the VAR get punished, why doesn't the ref get punished too? he endorsed it lol
Referee bottled it under pressure from PSG and the home fans.
Yeah. He was just trying to get home safely.
he followed the regulation. which is different from the prems
@@hotdog9262 which is why the VAR ref was stood down for the next match because he was wrong
@@truthgiver8286 he is not doing a game he was booked for. this potentially can be for all kinds of reasons including personal
@@hotdog9262 he was stood down by EUFA
It wasn't VAR that awarded the penalty, it was the ref after he viewed the replay. He was totally within his rights to say it still isn't a penalty
VAR said its a potential penalty when it was not. Onfield decision was not penalty.
They never do that's the problem.
Why have they taken that var official from tonight's matches then ?🤔
@@ifldiscovery8500 VAR was right to do that, the Ref could have stuck with his original decision but didn't. I think the ref was right.
it wasn't a poor decision it's just cheating plain and simple. and it goes on every game week in week out.
There's no cheating as the ref was great all game. He had plenty of opportunities to give PSG free kicks and send off dirty Newcastle players. Legit penalty
There is à penalty on hakimi too
Today i hear that UEFA gave advisory instructions to referee's for next season -
"In their guidelines for the next season, the Board recommends that UEFA should clarify that no handball offence should be called on a player if the ball is previously deflected from his own body and, in particular, when the ball does not go towards the goal."

In the European competition, if the ball hits your hand it's a foul. We saw it in the Copenhagen and Manchester United games. My problem is consistency, whether it's given or not. If it's foul today it should foul every day.
Totally agree, it should have been a pen, but make it consistent
The vast, vast majority of people including ex officials, ex refs, ex players, analysts, you name it - all say it shouldn’t have been one. But if you’re going on about consistency, why would they not rule the penalty out if they ruled out the exact same handball earlier in the game when it hit Miley’s body then arm?
@@Gabagoolfexactly, the rules state it shouldn't be a handball that's why they didn't give it for the one on Lewis miley, end of the day the Var officials and the ref bottled it, it was daylight robbery at its finest. Hope dortmund do them over next game and newcastle beat milan, then it'll be justified
In what world is that a pen there has to be common sense
There was a nearly identical potential handball against Havertz in the Arsenal/Lens game yesterday. The ref specifically signaled that it was not a penalty because it deflected off his body first. There is absolutely no consistency, so let's not pretend they are more consistent in European competitions.
Some people actually like VAR ? 😂😂
Var got the call from European union
uefa have already said it was wrong , that's why the var has been steppeddown
Hopefuly the referee is inprisoned for taking bribes.
YES
The same handball was given against Real Madrid in their first UCL match against Napoli.
This is what corruption looks like
It was clearly the wrong decision, and UEFA know it because they sacked the official who advised the on-field ref..!
He was supposed to be working for a UCL match last night, but got dropped for this huge error!
All BS wouldn't happen i. England. Mudryk headed the ball onto Saliba hand & VAR & ref were quick to award Chelsea a pen. England worse VAR on the continent
This refree give mbappe 2nd penalty
Where paredes not intentionally touch the ball instead mappe shot hit paredes hand but hand is not natural position
Same rule last match game
These same guys complaining about VAR today's are same guys after Arsenal game who said referees are okay ,today crying ,that refree is good he was refree Champions' final, last season .
That’s because those decisions in the arsenal game were CORRECT, there is a far, far higher consensus amongst literally 99% of people that this shouldn’t have been a penalty, stop trying to compare it to a decision that you feel aggrieved by, despite it being correct.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Joy to my heart. Hypocrisy.
If howe dont see anything wrong with the goal when newcastle winning against arsenal then howe should feel the same about this penalty...need to respect the var and ref right howe? So dont talk too much and move on
VAR should be stopped. It allows for subjective narrative building. If a game is going one way (in this example) you know the ref is thinking subconsciously that PSG deserves the penalty.
It is apparent that the official in the booth is getting emotional and re-officiating the game as he feels fit. "Clear and obvious" is just a marketing slogan to bludgeon players, coaches, fans into shutting up. If the official on the pitch whistles that "handball" I would disagree but understand why he might do that. There is no rational argument that not whistling that play is a "clear and obvious" error. The VAR official wanted to give PSG a result, it is simple as that.
Craig and Shaka will be doubling down if this has been Manchester United
You literal whatever
Get in there and make about it your club why don’t you
Its corruption plain and simple refs deciding the outcome of games is getting beyond a joke they should be investigated for gambling
I lost trust on football. It’s all about make Mbappe famous
When it happens to Newcastle, Shaka gets wound up.. but when it happens to Arsenal his stand is not the same 😂😂😂
Having said that I agree that it should not be a penalty
Its out and out cheating.manufacturing football results.
Its beyond scandalous....and so was the 8minutes of Extra Time.
Something smells very very fishy doesn't it.
Ref had a great game and its the right call for a oenalty. He had plenty of chances to send off dirty Newcastle players but didnt. Ref is truly world clasa
Clatenburg is 100% wrong, as the player moved his arm out from his body the second PSG player kickes the ball, just watch it back. Mc Allister handball LFC verse Toulouse, the ball hits his chest and then his upper arm, not his elbow or lower arm, play was not called back, 6 passes later Quansahs scores for LFC in the 97 minuted. VAR asked ref to look, Ref did and rules state if the ball goes off body to arm its hand ball, UEFA proposed a change to the rule on November 9 after the game, Uefa country federations teams said no to change. Its handball
THIS 👍👍
UEFA couldn’t have their Golden Boy Mbappé out so early, you know how it goes.
Oh so now it’s Mbappe 😂what happened to Messi being the one😂
It's not Mbappé you pumpkin, it's all about Nasser Al-Khelaifi
😂😂😂😂. VAR in Europe slapping the oil brown envelope to pulp... They can only thing it in premier league but in Europe you get some good spanking by the same VAR
It was a right call
Clearly never watched a game of football.....

Qtari money talking in football 😅
In Europe petty much it given as a hand ball, Liverpool CL final, last week CL game Man U vs Copenhagen there were 2 in that game doesn’t matter if it close or intentionally or not it will be given
not neither of those penalties hit the body first.
@@ifldiscovery8500 in epl yes it won’t be given but in European football it will be given, I do feel for Newcastle for this one tho
@@jason2010s UEFA rules themselves say its not a penalty. The VAR room refs have been suspended even UEFA agrees its a robbery low iq mongrel.
We were robbed and nobody disagrees.
Penalty was paid for by PSG
Personally I am tired of hearing these pundits talk about Newcastle and Spurs injuries and feeling sympathetic toward them. Man United have not had a full team since week one. Shaw, Martinez, Malacai, Hojlund, Erikksen, Wan-Bissaka were out nearly all year, their entire set of defenders. Plus you had Sancho and Antony out for months due to their own issues and everyone just blames the team and manager. BS!
Man Utd's time is up. The 90s are over. Football has moved on. Just accept it.
All those players you mentioned are rubbish anyway.
Ahhhh well Joelinton pushed big gabby of Arsenal and VAR didn’t call it a foul, Newcastle won that EPL game but now VAR and the Refs have paid Newcastle back in full in the EUCL. Karma doesn’t forget an address 🤣😂😂.
It was all explained to you, after the most thorough var check I've ever seen. This should never have been a penalty, else they would've had 2 but if that's their rules then meh, on to the next game. I can still call it bonkers without turning into Arteta. If only Arsenal had this attitude.
@@philscott3759 If it’s thorough then it’s a penalty period just like all three decisions went against us in that game where Joelinton’s push wasn’t deemed a foul. Dude it’s Karma paying you all back, if Joelinton had admitted to fouling maybe you’d have won this one 🤣🤣🤣
Cant believe Arsenal fans would want PSG to win
Over three weeks since that Newcastle/Arsenal game, and those plastic Arsenal fans still so salty, and it’s been almost a month…
Get a grip and get over it, Newcastle beat Arsenal, that’s it!
@@G-Linka. Clearly you cannot read so I’ll help you out. See on my comment where I said “Newcastle won that game?” That is acceptance but it doesn’t preclude me from rubbing that VAR Ref salt in your wounds. Newcastle absolutely deserved that penalty call. You sound a little that the champions league journey is coming to an end soon 🤣🤣🤣🤣
the key point the panel fails to make is a simple one, and they refusesto even acknowledge it. The second the ball is kicked Newcastle player arm moves away from his body by 1 foot , FACT suggest you watch it again, the Newcastle player arm is by his side" until the ball is Kicked and then he moves it outwards by 1 foot, so despite it coming off his chest or anywhere, the Newcastle player 100% moved his arm out from his body the second the player went to kick the ball and kicked it... The same happened when Mac Allister of LFC in Toulouse , the ball hit his chest went to his upper arm, the goal scored in Toluese at the end of the match was wiped out by VAR and the ref for handball
You clearly have no understanding of what it's like to play this game/or any sport where you move. Smh.
@@philscott3759 Played professionally between 1973 and 1989.... Another who does not use eyes.
We need to respect the refs and their decisions 👍🤣 ain’t that right Newcastle fans ?
Keep crying immigrant Assna fan🤡
That how the arsenal fan feal when thay get rob, at st james park a gust u not smileing now
This penalty shouldn't have stood but if that's their rules, then meh, on to the next game. I can still say the decision is bonkers. If only Arsenal had this attitude. Arteta made himself look like an infant straight away and you lot have carried that infantilism on ever since. Even after it was explained to you.

Two month old sock puppet account. What are you afraid of, son?
Correct decision?😲 . . . Keep off the cocaine mate, it's sending you mad man😂😂
The poors decision is the var don't want the referee go to check 2 penaltys in the second half who have been analysed after the game and oh what a surprise they are 2 penaltys ! so at the end psg have to score 2 goals and win the match newcastle make zero points yesterday If the var take ALL THE CORRECT DÉCISIONS so stop pretend to be angry all the stats and the expected goals say all 4,5 for psg 1,5 for newcastle !!!!
Xg is irrelevant if you can't shoot straight.
The English and crying foul...... It was a ref's decision.... Period. Introduce AI in refereeing games and forget humans because to err is human. Castle came up short, they decided to sit back and absorb the pressure, those are the consequences
ESPN is an American network…
Only the presenter is English, Shaka Hislop is Trinidadian and the other two are Scottish, so your English narrative is complete bullshit, it shouldn’t have stood as a pen. And that’s all it is!
And that fact you called them “Castle” tells me you clearly know f**k all about football?!
Yesssss its a penalty cry moreee when newcastles goal against arsenal did count nobody was complaning 😂😂
