Looks delicious. Gonna try it. Came across your channel by fluke. What i instantly LOVED about your channel was the way you patiently explained and showed the ingredients, the measurements ( for which you use proper measuring spoons), and showed even the exact size of the ingredient!! like in this case, the chilli & ginger! Very good recipe for the winter. You have put a lot of effort and love into your dish. Like the butter you kept adding for that extra love and goodness. I found the steps easy but long. I ' ll have to plan out this dish well before making it. Thanks again Veena for your motivating video on goan stew.

Actually, I've tried to simplify the recipe and also give it a more scientific approach where you don't have to boil all the vegetables (all quick cooking vegetables that can be cooked along with the meat) separately and individually first and then throw out the water. Except for boiling the macaroni first separately (which is essential if you want it to remain al dente in the stew) this is a single pot recipe. Do try it out. The stew is really delicious.

@@PataCake since I stir the milk in cold water since I don't keep the cream, this time only to make this chicken curry I bought 4 litres of milk and collected the cream on cooling
@@Larry-qf7lw , you could skip the cream and add I more tbsp of butter instead. But cream gives a nice taste of its own to the stew.

Can you suggest alternative for chicken and veg cubes.
Hi Deodita, These are optional, and you could skip using them. But they help enhance the flavour of the stew. Instead of these soup cubes, you could use any kind of seasoning powder or just 1/2 tsp of garam masala.
Specially requesting you to share recipe of ginger biscuits. Not the soft American cookies, but the crisp English ginger biscuit. Also eggless please

You're most welcome. Instead of the stock/soup cubes, you could add actual chicken stock, or 1/2 tsp garam masala.

You could avoid the stock cubes, Maria, if you don't want to add them. But if you have actual vegetable or chicken stock, you could add that. Another thing you could do if you want to avoid the stock cubes would be to increase the quantity of whole spices in the stew by around 25%.

Unfortunately, Lewisida, I don't yet have a good recipe for pinaagr/pinaac. When I have one, I'll surely share it.

Thanks for the appreciation. Yes, you must see that the stew has at least a little liquid left in it at the end. Hpwever, the Goan chicken / beef stew has less liquid in it as compared to other stew recipes. But please add as much water as you need to according to your preference.

I gave the chicken recipe to a friend who wanted a quick recipe and I thought this chicken recipe was good and there are fantastic reviews on it. She tried and sent me the picture, I did not like the look as compared to your picture and said to myself the taste will be different, what she did I have no idea but I could see the curry was not looking good. Wanted to send you the picture, can you please give me your WhatsApp details because I do not want to do anything different from what she did. She also said she won't make it again. Want to read the recipe and then will ask her if she followed the recipe correctly or made changes.
