The definition of the evocative. Love the man. I once took a group of eight visiting students from three continents to see
him at the Blue Note in NY. On his way out the door between sets I intercepted him and he stopped to ask who we were. I said we were visiting students from all over the world. "How cool," he said. And stayed to ask each person where they were from and if they'd like a picture with him. I still have that photo in my study. I sob when I'm reminded of his untimely death.
