Thank you for sharing this. I'm just now getting into wire wrapping and all the videos I've seen have made it so complicated. I know that everyone has to start somewhere and you get better with practice but I don't like how they make it so complicated for a beginner. How are you ever supposed to learn if you have to follow all those complicated steps right off the bat? This really helped me learn how to do it. I was getting frustrated because I kept bending my wire and it was breaking and this made it easy. Thank you, I will be making that bracelet as well.

Such a cool DIY thank you! The only part that I didn’t get was: how do I know how long the wire should be?
First take measurements of your finger multiply X 2 and maybe add 8cm more to be sure. For example, my finger is 6cm, no I need about (6x2)+8=20

Whenever I try to make these they end up very messy and not pretty at all :( The beads keep slipping out of their braided sections. What am I doing wrong? Is the wire not the right size? I'm using standard jewelry wire
Wire shouldn't be the problem, maybe you're a beginner and need more practice? I reckon wire wrapping is not easy to master. I have wasted so much wire before making nice jewelry I am afraid... 🥺🥺

You can use bigger but obviously you will get a bigger ring. Like 18 guage but it's harder to bend. However it's doable and you will get good at using it. Or 20 guage. A thinner and more easily bought. Just remember you need to get the bead on it. A 20 shouldn't be hard to use or buy. For a bracelet I would definitely use 18 so it was stronger. It's a great technique to learn.
