Hey everyone! Hope you enjoyed the video!! I'll be live in my 1.20 Hardcore world on Monday, would love to hear what you thought!

How do you do this? I heard mod names said in the video like Project Uncraftable, but do you manually update through the launcher or does it auto update through a mod?
There is no food bar in early MC....
I guess this is a remake for newer code?
uhm You made a mistake achtually mineshafts were in the game since 1.0. like thats common knowlage. 🤓🤓
What is your favorite wood type
I remember when they added horses and thinking "whoa, this is new". Now, no matter how long the update has been around, they seem recent to me
I feel the same about the ocean monument but maybe thats cause i first downloaded the game during 1.8 and literally only ever played 1.7.10 modded
Yeah!! Horses were the first update I ever saw in pc , and I remember eagerly waiting as it downloaded so they’re forever new to me haha
It feels so crazy to now feel like 1.6 and 1.8 are so “close together” in time because at the time, I remember 1.8 feeling like “futuristic” Minecraft and I felt such boomer-hatred for anything new 😂 I don’t know why I thought 1.8 “ruined the game” and here I am loving everything in 1.20 lol
yes literally, anything after 1.0 is new to me, even tho ive been playing it for over 10 years now
this but mutton too
I didn't think I would miss those original block textures. I like minecraft as it is now, but I get nostalgic when I see that stone, wood and "nacho lava".
honestly i played 1.12 the other day and i'm starting to appreciate the old textures wayy more than new
I think the old oak wood looks better than the new oak wood
I miss nacho lava
I played 1.20 minecraft and the cute sniffer
@@ElseDeles-io6qc i played pretty much as soon as it came out or so,so i like the nostalga
Experiencing both “that was that long ago??” and “that was that recent??” at the same time, and I’m not quite sure I enjoy this feeling.
What I do know I’m enjoying is this video! Great job as usual

Legundo called the white boat villager “Dr fersoryious” felt like a punch in the gut. So close to Trayurus, yet so far. I loved this video.
U mean Dr. Trayaurus 😑
Trayaurus* but close

I *Think* its how you say it, but dont quote me on it, i dont know. But it does bring a lot of nostalgia!
So so much nostalgia
@@rubiin15 Dude be nice to people. Just because they Misspelled Something doesn’t mean you can pull a 😑 Face on them!
That house at the start looks like it's gonna start telling me about Shadow of Israphel
That is a DEEP pull.
Wow a fellow OG!
that is a reference i haven’t heard of for a long long time
That’s a name I haven’t heard in a long long time. Thank you stranger on the Internet for bringing that memory up from the depths of my mind

Updated my research, turns out the petrified oak slabs were added in 1.13 so, day 66 is when they were done updating
Nice
You contribute nothing when you leave one word comments like that @@WeAreAvengers3000
The fact that you needed to edit your comment in order to get it right shows you looked it up and therefore failed..
Well done
As someone who started playing the game at 1.2.5, quit the game around 1.8 or 1.9 and just returned, this video was both nostalgic and educational at the same time.
Great video 👍
Legundo sailing the open seas for the first time this video: "And no life whatsoever"
The squids under the water: *shocked Pikachu face*
Haha, squids aren’t real.
the first wooden slabs were stone slabs with a different texture so it was mined with a pickaxe and did not burn, in later versions if the player still had it are called petrified slabs
Oh yeah I forgot about petrified slabs
Thank you, I was confused as to why the slabs were illegal in the early days, makes more sense to me now 👍🙏
52:56 fun fact the drowned were actually bugged for the longest time! They didn’t have that different animation for like several updates. They actually fixed it in 1.20 so that they look like that again!
1:11:25 When you forget to give your mountain base its morning coffee. 😂
It’s still a very cozy base, though. I liked the semi transparent elytra. That makes it seem magical. I’m a bit bummed that it was changed later.
Literally true
Day 44 is when the "Alpha slab" or "Petrified oak slabs" (They're known by both names) chest was opened after the slabs were put into it and had the missing textures
Are those your friends helping demonstrate the new mechanics each update? (As well as occasionally murdering the heck out of each other, looking at you 1.3.) If they are, that's really cute. They look like they're having fun!
Yep! Those are the Guardians, the mod team for my community :)
Make sure to continue this series when 1.40 comes out!
Watching videos like this make me realize just how little i explore some of the newer things in the updates
This is hilarious! I was doing the exact same challenge on my own, and now that you've done the same thing I can take some inspiration for my world. Thanks Gundo!
The god apples are strong with this one. And the throwback part to your first one hundred days Minecraft survival when corona-chan was still relevant just warms my heart.

The part at 23 mins in really does show how alive Minecraft feels now. I love this idea, I was watching a bunch of older version Minecraft videos and thought to myself “what if you played and the version changed every 10 days?” And then come across this the next day. It was perfect timing lol
16:34 aww, it dounded like he was about to cry from nostalgia. Like watching an old friend again 🥲🥹
This is gonna be all my entertainment on my road trip, so thank you!
Omg fun!Were r u going?
Lol I'm downloading it for the same reason lol.
Coming back home from Minnesota
The irony that this gets uploaded while I'm in a car going from NC to OK
the nostalgia in this video hit me harder than i expected
what are you talking about@@3AMinTrusiveThoughts
Minecraft really has changed a lot. Somethings got better, while other things got removed. Regardless of how you interprit it, we were always along for the ride. That's why this game is so special to us. Because it grows, it changes, and it evolves. And we have the power to modify it and make it go even further then that.
1.0 HOUSE!!!!! Yeahhhhh boi, let’s goooo!
if u want the true 100 days u could include some of the alphas and betas because considering minecraft only has 20 versions (excluding the ones like 1.1, 1.2, 1.2.5, etc) It would only make it roughly 20/100 days which is no fun lol but regardless doing it every 5th day makes it much longer and responsible lol
ive had this idea in my head every since 1.20 was announced so im happy to see somebody acutally do it
"that's not craftable yet, I'm taking it." Holy shit I remember the absolute horror that was trying to find enough mossy cobble to build with. was a HUGE flex back in the day.
52:54 The drowned had a swimming animation in 1.13 but then something happened😮
Well at least now in 1.20 we got it back
I think it was a hit box issue
i love these 100 days videos, they inspire me to actually play mc

so true bestie
man i enjoyed this video so much, ive been playing sence beta and it was such a fun adventure to watch you go through every update, countless times i went to hit the like button only to realize i already had, an incredible watch!
"After saving them from drugs" got me dying 😂😂
the throwback to the first 100 days video by rebuilding the base really warmed my heart because i became a fan through that video and i miss that world all the time
I am a little confused about you saying that cats got added on later because ocelots actually used to be tamable like wolves. You could turn them into cats the exact same way you tame cats in villages now, with raw fish and sneaking. I remember when that update came out where cats spawn in villages instead of having to tame ocelots. It was literally my only goal back in the day to find a jungle and tame an ocelot and I did it every playthrough.
I think he meant they weren't tameable yet or something idk
I didnt realize when I started playing minecraft until I could remember the excitement I felt when they added jungle temple's
I started playing JUST before 1.6. Like, a few days after I started it was updated, so they're so nostalgic to me.
Hi Legundo. I just now discovered your channel and I'm enjoying your content a lot. But more importantly, this video inspired me to try this kind of "100 Days Challenge" and it's great (I'm currently on 1.5, by the way). I can see the world evolving around me, which feels amazing. Especially for someone like me, who doesn't typically change versions too much. Normally I play with shaders, mods and texture packs, but you indirectly reminded me of how old school, basic Minecraft feels like. Thank you.
TLDR: Content good, tried out by myself, having fun, you got a sub
It’s so nice to see another hardcore through versions video. Because this was the first video I’ve seen in your channel! This is how I started to watch your videos. Amazing content :)
Lets Go! This just gave me entertainment for a while, Thanks Legundo!
33:10 that crepper jumpscared me lol
Crepper: *HALNO GUYS WELLCOME TO MY MINE-*
It's rare that I get a chance to use that meme audio XD
Minecraft has really come a long way. Watching this video really brings me back. Especially on the early versions of Minecraft, night time was like going into a cave with no torches over the place.
I joined minecraft in 1.20 (literally started playing 4 days ago) and this video was a journey for me, almost as if I had experienced it all as you did. I didn't even realise it was an hour and a half long as I was so immersed. Amazing video!
I loved how c r u n c h y the damage sfx were in the old versions. Drowning sounded like breaking every bone in your body. 😂
The drive by on the blaze at 1:04 is one of the coolest parts of the video
I think one of the funniest unspoken things too is seeing the visible degradation in performance of the game as well. Really shows how necessary mods are in modern Minecraft as well
Hi Legs!
Your base doesn't look like an alien to me, it looks more like Gollum from LotR.
Awesome video dude!
Thank you, I really really enjoyed this video, it was seeing Minecraft through new eyes, I didn't know a lot of the changes and their order of development and I enjoyed watching the evolution of Minecraft
I've always had my nether portal look like the nether is slowly coming through to consume the overworld. Loved this video man
The fact that this started on the version of minecraft with xp and hunger makes me feel some type of way
Hi Legundo! I love that you’re making callbacks to your original 100 days video. That video is what got me to subscribe to you! Thank you for making these videos. :)

Legundo: *collecting iron innocently*
Me: *trying to figure out if he said edition or addition*
I remember that when 1.16 snapshots were released i just couldn't stop playing them. I built like mini nether biomes nether villages and so so much things like that. It felt so nostalgic even if didnt played old versions of minecraft.
Legundo is the reason I watch Minecraft content on youtube. His first 100 days video was the thing that got me hooked on watching other people play, so thank-you for the hundreds of hours of entertainment you began for me Legundo!
3:52 Wait until he realizes how long bedrock has been without a shield💀
I'm fine without using the shield, it just abit hard
I remember when the update 1.7 first came out, it was such an amazing update and was a lot of fun playing with it for the first time.
I love how much of Legundo's sheer joy you can feel watching his Minecraft videos. He just truly loves the game
Hope I'm not too late, but you checked the wooden slabs on day 44 version 1.8
Thank you for the new video. Totally made my birthday and weekend awesome. Enjoy your weekend. #LoveYourFace

@@Legundoyou keep BEING AWESOME!
This part is good 47:30
I adore that you also played like someone would back in the days of each update. Wasnt ready for a nostalgia hit but i enjoyed it ❤
Old Minecraft doesn't require a different brain, it requires a brain in general. New Minecraft is so dumbed down and easy that I can't help but long for the days when you couldn't just get 1 piece of iron and some wood to invalidate any and all damage that comes from your front, or constantly hold one item in your off hand and never have to worry about dying ever again, or spawn next to a village and basically be set for the rest of the game.
I mean it's still there no need to be longing for it just play the older versions
New to the channel, but the "happy pride" on day 61 really made me happy! thanks for the awesome videos, I'm def gonna keep watching
First
This is a 1 hour sitting enjoyment, admiring the early versions of minecraft and to what the current version has to offer. It was truly a nostalgic experience and reminiscing the days that minecraft was simple yet fun to play. Earned a sub and like!
Way to make me feel old, I've been playing minecraft since the lava looked like nacho cheese
This got my nostalgia going, seeing the old textures brought back some lovely memories of me trying MC for the first time
Watching these block textures, methods, caves, the simplicity, everything.. just makes me very nostalgic
I remember 1.11 and 1.12 well. I started earlier on Xbox 360 where the version was very old, roughly around 1.9, but had versions from before. I loved this video.
I'm actually genuinely learning so much about modern Minecraft through this. I recently got back into it after leaving it at about 1.14-1.15. Thing is, I usually play modded on my pc, and only have bedrock on my phone. I'm sure you can imagine my surprise when my vanilla 1.20 crops got trampled, and now I'm learning that you can use a hoe to break leaves? Insane
This video filled me with such high levels of nostalgia that I was not prepared for in the least and it was so enjoyable to watch the versions fly by along with my childhood being lived out in present time
this took me back lmao, i started right before the combat update and honestly the memories this brought back of all the old textures, all the old youtubers i used to watch, all the old glitchy bugs, it nearly brought a tear to my eye, just typing this out i also remembered all the bittersweet moments. a friend who introduced me to the game who i learned was honestly a toxic person, a base i had on a server that has long been forgotten, i still have the layout of that i drew back when i was 12 hanging on my memory board. and more recently friends who i had lost to the pandemic as well as the base i had on that server before it reset more than half a year ago. all the childish pranks i pulled because why not its fun. all these memories and honestly i wouldnt trade them for the world. for alot of your younger viewers this might be just another minecraft video, but for me this was my childhood flashing before my eyes. thank you for that and you sir, however small a gesture this may be, have gained another subscriber
It’s amazing how far Minecraft has come. I first play Minecraft on 1.13 update. And it’s amazing how each update has change the game play through each update.
46:30 PLEASE, please be a prophet, Legs! 🙏
20:48 that laugh after killing the ghast was so satisfying! Instant sub just for that 🤣 thank you for making my day!
Just found your channel within the last week, i absolutely love you and your friends. I've been binge watching all of you, You Sir are hilarious.
This is a great video, i love seeing what minecraft was like before I started playing. You have an awesome perspective.
i can see where some of my habits come from. collecting the mossy cobb from spawners, leaving my dogs in the house (they always sewerslide), actually needing a sword, crafting notch apples. seems kinda plain, but i remember the early days of minecraft. i remember when the elytra had just been added, and they made a new tutorial world to commemorate! i remember when they added cats, when they still had the furnace minecart! so many memories, it's crazy to think about how long it has been
This channel has a lot of creative 100 days episodes.
From the emeralds, to one chunk/block, to this.
Love it.
I grew up as a PS3 1.5er with no Internet and after about 5 years I was able to play the Aquatic Update and had no idea what had happened to Minecraft.
Some of this stuff really brought me back... I didn't know I actually started playing minecraft in 1.4, damn, I guess this is quite older than I expected...
This is a very cool 100 days idea! I love how people are expanding the formula for this video style!
Minecraft is the one thing that makes me actually feel old. Anyone else remember when you could milk Squids?
This brings me a lot of good memories and makes me realize how old I am. and this video brings a lot of nostalgia to my life.its amazing how minecraft evolved over time.
In ten years when minecraft updates a lot more, you should come back to this world and make a part 2
Watching this made me realise how old I am. I still remember when Minecraft didn't have hunger or sprinting. Seeing the old textures for Cobblestone, food, netherrack, gravel, and more brought a few old memories back.
I started playign Minecraft back in Alpha, like I have been playing since 2011-08-07
I remember all these updates and all the things we did back then.
Why is it you can always make me feel so sentimental about this game! LOL! I have to say, so many, SO MANY of your videos I've enjoyed watching. But this one was extra special, we got to watch the progression of the game. Flashbacks from back when I started playing, and each expansion & all the way up to now. Thank you so much. I really enjoyed this one! 😍🥰❤
Legundo, buddy, you cannot just name-drop "Survive and Thrive" in the first few minutes like that! Paulsoares's S&T series was what first got me going into the game way back when I first got into the community! My nostalgia was maxed out by this video start to finish, thanks so much!

This is really nostalgic. I remember a lot of these old versions.
As a pre 1.0 oldie, this video owns. What a fun trip.
This is one of the most notalgic videos I’ve ever watched. You did such an amazing job on this video.
this really makes me want to go for a nostalgia run on minecraft 1.0-1.20/1.20.2 it would be fun
I remember when savannas were just released and I remember crafting God Apples all the time. Its wild to me how much I've been here for, I was so sure I started way later!
Awesome video, just a correction, mineshafts were actually added in 1.8 beta
As someone who only very very recently started playing Minecraft (ive only been playing 3 months) its really really cool to be able to see how it evolved 🙂
Its crazy to watch this video and see all the differences between alpha 1.0 and release 1.0. This is so nostalgic. I remember release day and how much bigger the game felt than it did in alpha or beta.
Also @legundo deifinition if smelt;extract (metal) from its ore by a process involving heating and melting.
Therefore you cook the steak. It doesnt matter what you put the steak in or on, its cooking b3cause its a steak. Its not smelting because its a smelter. Its also called a furnace which is used to heat thinfs, not smelt things. You just happen to be able to smelt with a furnace as well as cook with a furnace as well as heat a room with a furnace.
XD you can say it as angrily and confidently as you want but you have never, will never, and can never, smelt a steak.
huh, i never realized how early i began playing minecraft. my strongest memories are at around the 1.12 mark, but i still remember being surprised when diorite, andesite, and granite started popping up in my worlds, which was like 1.7. definitely a weird nostalgia trip where i never expected there to be nostalgia.
That video made me realize how long i have been playing this game for... All of these Updates feelt like they happened yesterday. I started playing in Beta 1.7.
thanks to this video i’ve realised i’ve been playing minecraft since 1.2 cuz i remember when there were only oak planks
and im only 17!! thats insane
Just came here from a video about 100 days Beta 1.7.3, the transition from the calm slow style to upbeat music was pretty jarring
This video brought back so many great memories for me. Thank you.
