  • www.insta360.com/sal/ace-pro?... - The Insta360 Ace Pro is the first time Insta360 have gone head-to-head with GoPro to make an all-out, no gimmicks action camera. This thing packs a crazy punch. A 1/1.3" sensor, 48mp, 8K resolution, 4K120, AI features, great low light performance, etc, etc. I put the camera head to head against the GoPro Hero 12 Black to see if it can really walk the walk.
    Disclaimer: This video is sponsored by Insta360 and I have been Alpha / Beta testing this camera for quite a while. I am biased in that I have a prejudice that Insta360 make amazing products and are really investing in making good products for cyclists.

    one of my problem is when mounted on handle bars, the vibrations can be too much for the camera,
    but
    in your video it seems it doesn't affect as much.

      It's exactly what I noticed ! seems like the Ace pro's lens is dirty. That look crazy, everybody can see that on all day's footages of this video, the gopro image quality is better, but with a sponsorised test, of course you said that the ace pro is better...I'm not a gopro groupie, for the story, I've ordered a gopro 12, which I returnerd back when I saw this new ace pro to eventually buy this one,...

    Also, the camera doesn’t have the AI warp feature because the processor isn’t good enough and is entirely app based. You also have to pay for it after 3 months, but they dont put that in the ad

      Stay on the X3 !
      I have a Gopro 9 (since it came out) and bought the X3 few months ago, i don't use my Gopro anymore.
      360° cameras are a game changer, so much capable than regular action cameras !

    • @ChinaCycling
      @ChinaCycling  Před 6 měsíci +2

      If you can only have one, maybe the X3
      It's more versatile, and the single lens mode is good enough. Just be careful not to scratch the lenses.

    I’d rather mount my GO 2 on my helmet. Way lighter and if you share videos with friends, you don’t want monster file sizes so the resolution is fine.

    • @ChinaCycling
      @ChinaCycling  Před 6 měsíci

      Yeah, the Ace Pro is very "Prosumer" - for most consumers, the Go series has enough quality. But yeah, 2.7k Vs 8k...

      @joelberman5981 Před 6 měsíci

      @@ChinaCycling if you share videos with friends, the size of a 4K or 8k file will take forever to send. If you mount this camera on your helmet, your neck is short to be sore quickly. I actually have two go 2 cameras. I mount one on my helmet and one on the back of the bike. When I want to take a video, I just hit the button and record for 15 seconds.

      Maybe calibrate your Mac! 😂 I have both GoPro and Ace Pro. GoPro is a great camera but it is not up to par in any regards to the Ace Pro. I have tested it while cycling and the difference is quite noticeable. Night and day. Just my opinion. To be fair, the reviewed unit is more than likely before firmware updates, so his mileage might be different than my current camera.
