This show was such a breath of fresh air a change very well done a show you can relate to. Love it still ...just purity ok I gotta stop I'm getting misty eyed. GREAT JOB CROSSMEN !
Wow, this is great audio quality! Really wish I could've been there to experience this live, but alas, I was still 4 years from being born. Still, it's nice to be able to see and hear this in such crisp detail.
91 crossmen was the very first corps show I ever saw. Been in love with drum corps ever since. I think Crossmen will always be my first corps love. It seems there is always a corps every year that just gives me that wow feeling all over again.
@@ronlagrone6077 that's awful. i lost my digital camera just before finals retreat in CA in '07, with so many recordings of our hornline from that summer, including our semis warmup. best music ensemble i was ever in....will forever regret the moments surrounding losing it. i'm sure you can relate. whoever that dude is needs to get it together and upload that footage though!
No electronics. No amplification. No trombones. Not even 3rd valves. Just some darn good music played on G bugles. I truly miss this era and style of drum corps.
Can appreciate this...Have watched drum corps for 34 years. I do appreciate the sound quality of B flat, but I do feel most corps are overamplified. I must also admit I do kind of like the trombones at times- when used effectively---at least it is still a brass instrument !!!! :-)
Well - third valves were being phased in at that point. But still in G, and nothing amplified, etc. I got to see them twice that summer and it was so good to see them back so strong after some hard years not long before.
That's the way we USED TO march on the field!!... Two by two. I missed those days!!! 😢
still my fav show ever...music wise
Same

They did have 3 valve altos and sopranos.
When the on the field warm ups were epic!!

I miss when we used F bugles pre WW1, all the Sousa marches are written for F bugles and it sits so well with band, G... not so much.
some serious licks in there
Such an explosive show. That first note scared the living hell out of me the first time I saw them live.
That was my favorite part to play every night...such joy!
WHAT A GREAT YEAR!!!
the year they were beating both the Cadets and the Blue Devils!
Only matters in the Finals tho.
Warren Moore yeah BD had a rough season in ‘91 never really got it together until finals
This is really good audio holy
I'm so in love with my corps
