It's funny because Savarkar didn't even faced harsh punishment compare to other freedom fighters like Mahaveer singh in jail & Savarkar was also getting pension from Britishers when he got out of the jail. In just few months of being in jail, he started writing the mercy petition. Meanwhile other freedom fighters refused to do that. Even when other freedom fighters did write mercy petition, they wrote it for others and not themselves. But still people Remember Savarkar and not the other freedom fighters who faced way harsh punishment than Savarkar, just because he was part of right wing ideology.

That's why they put Gandhi into Aga khan palace and Nehru into Ahmednagar fort. Not just Gandhi and Nehru but also Sardar Patel & Mahadev Desai was also detained in that same palces. But did you took the name of Sardar Patel? You didn't. Since it doesn't suit your narrative.
