St ships have saucer sections, because gene roddenberry liked ufos, but couldnt imagine how real ufos operate (ofcourse), so straped engines on the back and called em warp engines. The lore behind the nacelles was developed after, lil by lil.

I dislike in these mods how short the phaser fire from the main dorsal and ventral arrays are. They have a TON of emitters they should fire for wayyy longer.

it has an aft tube that can only be used when separated, so its located on the area where the Star Drive section is docked

not surprising the saucer is gonna be very weak.
