      Thank you. I really appreciate the complement. Congrats on the new exhust, I personally think the CR-T exhaust is one of the best exhaust for any bike. The exhaust has this deep a deep growl that's not overbearing, completely opens up the rear wheels single sided swing arm, and saves about 22 pounds from the stock exhaust. Thats why I wanted to upload a video, I had trouble finding continent with quality audio. After you install the exhaust I would love to hear your review. This was the first video I have ever uploaded to CZcams, but I'm in the early process of doing a build for the 2018 Monster 1200 R. I will try and upload more content as the build processes. Once again the positive feedback is much appreciated.

      My bad brother, I also talked way too much and so slow it sounded like I had cognitive problems. Truth is it was the first video I ever made and I was using new equipment for the first time. I really wanted to record the bike using a professional mic because all the videos I've seen on CZcams were recorded with an iPhone mic, muffling the sound. I bought a Yeti mic with an iPhone attachment and went straight to garage to record the sound, I had no idea how the video would come out, I just knew I had about five minutes before security showed up.

      ¡Gracias hermano! Lo tendrás, comencé con videos de CZcams antes de tener uno. Solo quédate con eso y mantenlo al frente de tu mente, el resto se resolverá solo.

    Thanks for this video! I just got a Monster 1200R with Termis and upmap. Really thinking of swapping this out, are there any issues I should be aware of, is it a plug and play or what else should I be looking out for

      Congratulations on the Monster R. Yes there were issues when first putting on the exhaust, I had to add a DynoJet and have it tuned because the bike ran lean leading to fire coming out of the exhaust, which looks cool but not ideal for the engine or maximum horsepower. I would highly recommend the single barrel SC Project CR-T exhaust for a few reasons. First the single barrel weighs almost nothing which you will definitely notice in acceleration and more so in breaking. Second, the sound is undeniably breath taking. It sounds like a muscle car but is not obnoxious, elegant but strong. Third, the single barrel really shows off the rear rim and aesthetically flows with the minimalistic features of the bike. I know adding the DynoJet with a tune is a little bit extra of an expense, but trust me you will be so happy you did it. The bike will run way smoother, produce more power, and sound incredible. Thank you for the comment and I apologize for not responding sooner. Please let me now if you decide to go with the CR-T? Best, Mike.

    Your bike sounds awesome, do you thinks it's too loud for a daily commuter?

    • @MotoGold
      @MotoGold  Před 3 lety +3

      Not at all, its actually what I would consider perfect. I just posted an excessively long video riding through Orange County, but at the end you can see me pull into my parking garage. I just hold down the clutch when I'm in closed or residential areas and there is no problem. I never set off car alarms and have yet to get one complaint. Actually it's been the opposite, I was pulled over by a police officer the other day and he told me he basically just wanted to check out the bike then went on to complement the sound of the exhaust. With the weight savings, cost, and sound; you really can't miss with this exhaust.

      @@MotoGold wait for real, a cop pulled you over just to look at your bike?! Haha that’s awesome! I’m in OC too and always paranoid a cop will pull me over for my pipes.

      So I was actually pulled over in HB right off PCH the day I installed the CR-T exhaust and tucked license plate holder with my friend. When pulling over I thought to myself, well that was a nice ten minutes of having this exhaust; but the officer said he only pulled me over because he had trouble reading my license plate, then went on to say the bike looks excellent, sounds great, and to have a nice day. The only advice I have is always be cordial and respectful, more then likely the officer is a nice person and won't give you any problems.

    I have the same exhaust and I’ve checked plugs and it’s not running lean with no ecu flash

      Did you do you upgrade the air filter as well? When I first installed the exhaust with the air filter my bike was running super lean, the exhaust constantly had flames coming out the back (which is not good).

    which license plate holder have you mounted?

    • @MotoGold
      @MotoGold  Před 2 lety

      I used the NRC fender eliminator. I know the one for the 1200 S is different than the R.

  • @R6M3

    does it come with a quick shifter and autoblip?

    • @MotoGold
      @MotoGold  Před 2 lety +1

      Sorry for just getting back to you, I am just starting to film again now that it's getting warmer out. No the Monster 1200 R does not come with a quick shifter or auto blip. They do make an aftermarket QS with auto-blip, but I decided not to add it to the bike. I personally like going through the gears and appreciate the retro cafe racer personality it brings to the bike. I would save that upgrade for a pure sports bike, I think the Monster R's character is really derived from raw power with minimal rider aids.
      The bike is currently at Ducati getting a clear clutch installed with a custom painted pressure plate and 24k gold plated center ring. As soon as I pick it up this Tuesday I'll make sure to upload a video.
