Thanks for posting this. The confusing thing is that even when it is setup properly to toggle, the display on the Axiom shows it working as a momentary if you watch the controller values change as you press and release buttons. I understand the frustrations of some users, but I bought this thing used and it is a beast for an older board and very flexible.
Ok there is a difference in toggles for this controller, if you choose 147 it only plays a MIDI CC TOGGLE, NOT A CLEAN Note on/off controller,you will hear the midi toggle play a note back, but if you set it to 153 and set the data2 Key to 127, and Data 3 to 0 it will play one toggle and no note preview, resolved.
Thank you a lot. Because of you I (a total beginner) got it finally working. Took a while to understand the concept but the result speaks for itself.
To set the toggles press edit>ctrl select, select the key you want to change, crtl assign 147, tap edit again > data 1 (helps you set midi cc value of your choice from 0-127. Some midi cc's are not toggles. The user guide explains that CC's 128-250 can be used internally for setting up toggles, but they only assaing them to basic cc's 0-127, however, you have to figure out which CC's are toggles for some CC's. Strange...
Thanks bro, I really wanted to program a sustain pedal as a toggle for session record in Ableton. Didn't even know what momentary and toggle messages were. Just did the same and set the min value to 127 and max to 0 and that did the trick. Will use it on other buttons on the Axiom49.

How to make extended programming for MAudio axiom 49. How to assign sound to keyboard regions. For example, when we divide the keyboard into 4 regions, we can assign the guitar to the 1st region, the piano to the 2nd region, the drum to the 3rd region, and the trumpet to the 4th region.
Hello. I cannot adjust the Expression Pedal Input settings. Minimum "0" but Maximum "102". I want to make the Maximum value 127, but I cannot. Can you help me? Thank you so much.

hey i want to control a jdxi using this midi keyboard. someone knows how? i have the midi cable from the midi out of the axiom to the midi in of the jd and set the jd to slave.. but nothing happens. any help will be preciated!

Depends. If you have a DAW and want full controller over something like Ableton then it might not be the best option.
It was one of my first controllers and I really enjoyed it. Works great for an iPad as well. It’s great because you can edit the controls on the unit without a computer.
Depending on the price it is a great option.

Hello sir m facing some prob..I can't connect the drum pad in FL studio 11 so can you please help me out with this..how asing the launch pad in FL studio 11
Not familiar with FL studio. The drum pads I think default to midi channel 10 so make sure that FL studio is listening to that channel for the drum pads. Other than that, maybe do a factory reset on the controller to clear out any weird settings that might have happened.
My F# and C keys don’t make any noise, every other key does. Help? I have an axiom 49 first gen

The L with this controller is the Global parameter set functionality sucks for channeling channels. The quickest and only secondary solution is to tap edit,zone channel, enter number using keys, press enter, the triangle to success for this model because it sucks for a lack of channel access

Nothing is straightforward on the axiom . damn thing never works . hypercontrol crap . look at the forums . nothing but complaints
I will agree with you that hyper control is crap. Never worked for me. But I novations version did really work with my impulse either. Older controllers don't have the seamless integration that some of the newer ones have. That being said, I do a lot of my synths on iOS and we are spoiled by the easy setup with midi learn most have. This is not always as easy on the desktop VST or AU side.
I will say that editing it as long as you have the manual beside you is pretty straight forward. I have a printed copy on my desk for quick reference. And it does take a little while to get the hang of it but for what I paid for it, I love the key bed. I do wish it had multiple banks of faders and knobs and stuff like some of the other brands but what can you do.
That new novation SL MK3 looks really nice though but has a high price tag to go along with it.
@@TheAudioDabbler Thanks for the reply to what was really my anger and frustration with a product that never did what it said , so frustrating for someone like me , not so tech minded to find out the hard way . Theses days these companies can just get away with it , ripping people off . If I bought a motorbike that had steering dampening and I got it home and it didn't work I could take it back and get one that works . I don't see why these companies can get away with blatantly lying to customers . Anyway I was one of many that was sucked in and I think a class action is warranted . Now I have that off my chest I have a new problem with the keyboard you may be able to help me with . I have noticed the pitch of instruments like kontakt 4 organ keeps changing . Do you know of this problem and is it a keyboard problem ? Again thanks for your response.
when you say changes pitch, do you mean as you are playing the same note, the pitch varies? The Axiom has aftertouch, which allows you to press the keys more after you play the initial note. I have found in contact that some of the instruments map the aftertouch to vibrato or pitch. This maybe what you are experiencing. Let me know as I have not had any issues with mine. Which organ patch in Kontakt so I can test it out with mine and see.
