- Crystal Palace were the sixth London club Leitch worked for and were in the Second Division at the time after they became the first Champions of the new Third Division in 1921.

Thanks for the video. Brings back happy memories, was there when we got promoted in front of 52,000. Happy days when fans were not ripped off.
Crystal Palace amateur team formed 1861 became professional team 1905 after a lot of wrangling and resistance from the Football League. Detailed analysis of the Crystal Palace football club 1861-73 including first ever FA cup competitions and the fixtures played against clubs no longer in existence, are in historian Peter Manning’s book Crystal Palace and it’s football club. ❤
Archibald Leitch also designed the South Stand at Hillsborough. It was originally sited at Olive Grove before being relocated. Since then, the stand has been upgraded but still retains the gable and the clock.
Stadium Hot Dog has a good narration style which is easy to listen to.
Many thanks for the feedback. This is very helpful. :)
Nice idea and well-presented video . Just a pity there are not more pictures of the old Selhurst Park .Happy new year and all the best .
Much appreciated feedback. Have a happy new year 🙂
Realy nice video
Glad you liked it. Your comment is much appreciated. Thank you. :)
Thanks for this, I love Palaces first badge with the building on it.
Thank you for the feedback Graham. Same here I wonder if Palace would ever reintroduce one of the original badges in an anniversary kit one day.
Also back to claret and blue and old nickname "The Glaziers". Maybe asking for too much.@@StadiumHotdogTV 😄
@@graham3673 love the old claret shirt with blue pinstripe, iconic kit
....and I'm feeling...
Top song that ‘Glad all over!” Second most selling UK single in 1964. Only the Beatles ‘Can’t buy me love’ sold more that year. The Dave Clark Five performed the single live at Selhurst in 1968 as well.
Great vid. Not been to Selhurst in more than 10 years as like a lot of fans, had been priced out, but even then there was talks of redevelopment of the entire Sainsbury's end but I can't ever see that happening.
Many thanks for your comment. Can understand where you are coming from here, there's always that Premier League plus London tax that they put onto loyal fans.
@@StadiumHotdogTV Yep. I have no interest in top flight football and the insane money that's behind it so I prefer my football in the lower leagues these days.
