This event was surprisingly REALLY GOOD. Just seeing the weird decks my opponents were playing (and myself included) was a good break from Tear mirrors

It's quite friendly for F2P players at least in my experience. I did well with the loaner Vernusylph deck going second playing Vera turbo.
It was not bad if you knew to insta surrender to Umi and VW/Marincess shit.

It usually ends in two ways:
Me bricking or ending with SeptentriĂłn on board
I'm also playing ursarctic. Is it frustrating ? Yes, is it fun ? Also yes
For some reason my opp always have a kaiju for my septentrion
I had to tech in 2 My Body as a Shield to protect the boys from destruction. Surprisingly effective

@@FN-170 Yes, it can be very frustrating some times, but when you can actually pull off some plays it can be very fun. Specially against some xyz and link decks

@@f687sNFM Yeah I'm one of them lol, tried my hand at it but I couldn't get a handle on it.
This event was kinda weird... I played Prank-Kids, so I either insta-lost to interruption or had already won when the opponent didn't draw a ST out to Butler... Then, I usually needed two battle phases to close the game because no Accesscode and the opponents would usually resist pointlessly by using all resources to blank one monster, but obviously wouldn't be able to then out-resource dodo+pranks. Half the gameplay was just this endless wheel spinning.
I guess it's my fault for choosing this deck, but banning all lights and darks just made everything slower, not different. Although running Elf and the knightmare link 2 cards was kinda funny
I feel that 2 Butler, if you made any, can't be avoided at all
as a trains player, linking off Dora for any Earth Machine links is certainly a bold move
and a stoopidos one

I plaid Rikka sunavalon in this event, and even though not having jasmine and berghalancer is a big hit I replaced jasmine with Sylvan Dancepione. The card is not as good as jasmine, but still kinda crazy if you manage to hit at least one monster. Most of the times petal is enough to win you the game on the spot though. Had a very easy time ngl.
I saw penguins in the thumbnail and clicked. I was happy to see the tuner beat down. Lol
Love the penguin archetype. It's such a black sheep among water decks.

I'm running Ishizu (they're all hard limited so I don't feel as bad) Gizmeks in this event. It's really fun going second and has a lot of board breaking potential with the legal URs. Also I can still consistently get a 10k Gren Maju to beat someone's head in with lol

I like this event, i play true draco with a lot less floodgate and somehow always playing against umi control
Farfa discovering that the baby Rulers can be Ash'ed is me when I came back into the game in 2020 and tried to create a modern Ruler build, expecting them to still be the most dominant deck of all time. Let's just say that it didn't go on as planned.
Rulers as a deck would be fine, the main problem is splashability and redox and tidals broken secondary effects
@@nbassasin8092 Not sure how broken those effects would be in today's meta, but I'm open to see examples of decks using Redox and Tidal and going over the top as a consequence. In the meantime, I remain kind of skeptical.

But having them all at 3 wouldnt be broken in unfair way but rather too splashable and consistent in some cases. Some cards arent banned because of their inherent strength but because of how optimising they can be for many decks (spright elf was a gokd recent example)
@@nbassasin8092 Well Spright Elf was very powerful in two of the most dominating decks of the previous formats (namely its native Spright and Tear), among other things. I'm not sure how Redox and Tidal would take any Earth or Water strategy to an insane level currently (like Tidal did for Mermail back in 2013, even though it fell far short of what a 100% Rulers deck could do). I mean, Adamancipator have already have an arguably much better version of Redox in Block Dragon (both in the OCG and in Master Duel) and yet they don't seem to be crushing the competition in either format. So could Tidal and Redox be good? Yeah, no doubt about that. Would they be problematic? Remains to be seen, but I'm not convinced right now.

This is such a devisive festival from what i have seen some people liked It and want this in game as a game mode and other half had terrible time playing against same decks that dont let you play and getting maxx cd
Latter was my experience.
Every match was just Umi control or Salads while I had zero playable decks for this event.
Was gonna play Infernoble, but whoops, Isolde is a Light so it's literally unplayable.

Seeing farfa shuffle Guldo and Vedir and leaving winda behind in gustos hurt my soul to see. But then again no one has time to read how gusto cards work.
Been a great event except for the random swordsoul player that somehow found a combo line to end on a crazy board. Also, marincess was pretty busted for this power level.

I played infernoids. Didnât normal summon enough for the missions. Made some crappy yosenju deck using only the yosenju kamas and yosenju Izna. Somehow won against traptrix and adamancipator

For a change Guru wasn't banned, and oh boy, trading Behemoths for Pankratops, Alpha of Gatchiri @Ignister (G-Golem is Cyberse, and has synergy with Vernusylph), only to be resurrected with Vern monsters or tuning into Samurai Destroyer (Everything is searchable if you believe)...
Was odd to see Traptrix been held by their lack of finisher too, no Accesscode for free, no Uotpia, just good old Earth decks, rushing into Charmer to steal my Ultramufus... Beautiful
Yeah, Traptrix has to use their cards wisely or they die to a 3k beater/wall, it's goofy. You have options, but nothing as good as Unicorn, Accesscode or Underworld Goddess. No Heavenly Prison also sucks, you basically need to pray for Judgment or clog your deck with shit like Starlight Road.
The joke was opponent did had floodgate & others (With Cularia & Rafflesia on board), yet kept treatening backrow with a 1400 atk (So no bottomless) / 2600 defense each turn, so it was a matter of patience
Even if they banned cards six sam's are good deck for this event
All these unique decks and I just Grass is Greener then Megarock Dragon attack for 9k
I used Qli for this event. And then used the gems to get a bunch of the Tearlament pack, and built Ishizu Tear.

This event really one of MD best event ever.
varieties of Deck comes up and everyone had the same chances besides the obvious RNG first hand.
Melffy was sorely underrepresented in the event and I don't know why. Everyone has the cards because of the Tear pack and you can mix them with stuff like Spright, Tears, Zoodiac,Vernusylph etc. Super easy wins.
Because nobody is going to read the Melffy cards, or at least that's the usual consensus I see people come to when they have to decide whether or not to play Melffy.

Event just banned all Light/Dark monsters. Everything else was legal as usual (with minor exceptions)
I think the best thing I tried was a Water Control variant of Pacifis, which probably would have gone even better if I had Fish Sonar. The funniest thing I ran though has to be Spellbook Magician Girl with a Sky Striker package thrown in for memes.

everyone has their pet deck. That deck they played for too long and would get tilted at someone with less experience playing it worse for me that is dino if i see someone combo wrong i just stop watching the video as they are just going to lose as the deck is already a rogue deck so playing it badly at a meta deck is auto lose. This is exactly what happened here just even worse. If he was competent with earth machine he would have won that duel but instead he wasn't so you did with volcanic of all decks

This even was trash. I cant play my sunvalon, tearlaments and labyrnth deck. Any even that does that is automatic f tier. Cant even play chain burst deck. Cant play sylvan cause some key cards are divine and some ishizu is banned. Cant even play pure aromaseraphy cause no jasmie
Yeah the amount of decks that were unplayable because they rely on like _one singular_ light/dark monster in an otherwise non-L/D deck was absurd
