- I had to celebrate the album and the experience with the world after 20 years!!!! I'm sure yall can appreciate it coming from someone who was really there from the beginning!!! This unreleased footage as well as the story being told is a piece of history and will thrill the true Lauryn Hill fan! This album is a timeless classic.
There is so much more footage and so much more of the story to tell, I wanted to share a small piece and save the rest for the film, book or whatever!!! Enjoy!!!!!!
Narrated by: Co-writer of the album, Rasheem Kilo Pugh - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Thanks for this priceless footage!
Dope !! We need more footages ! 🔥
This is sooooo dope. I just wanna know when you’re going to sell this footage and make a documentary? It’s so invaluable and so needed
I’m in awe, this is absolutely amazing! @5:12 Aww Lauren looks like a baby in this clip.
Oh man this behind the scenes footage is absolute GOLD
I'm still ready to hear the next album...same team! Lauryn unmatched and even now the evolution of the artist!
we need that doc kilo. you contributed to a classic man. this is golden, this album was and is a soundtrack to my life. please give us the process behind this classic.
I love this footage and it’s priceless! I do believe that there was a distortion of balance in that album 💿 as it pertains to the crediting of that album... we do kno the labels puppet certain things! Ms.Lauryn Hill herself mentioned that, I’m assuming all those who was involved just wanted to be properly credited and compensated. Altho I do think Ms.hill is a genius of sorts and heard some new material by one of her musical directors and I think it sounds even better than the miseducation 🤯 which leads me to believe that Lauryn hill is not only musically proficient to stand on her own, but she has a amazing ear that allows her to synchronize well and create magic wit others.
Where is new material hiding??
The problem with lauryn (unfortunately) is her voice has also changed.
Unless she gets some serious vocal training to get back the 'ring' in her voice.
I don't know if she can truely 'come back'.
But I agree she is a genius!!!
Cause the lyrics in her unplugged album are actually better than the Miseducation.
@@gabrielbrewster107 Thank you! There are very few people who know that Lauryn did infact put out a second album, and in my opinion it is much stronger than Miseducation. Sure, it is just a guitar and her voice, but the album in its entirety is another masterpiece. There is a song called Neurotic Society, and another one called Consumerism. Both are written and song by Ms. Hill. She also did a cola with NAS recently.
Congrats to you man !! Im a great Fan from Spain. That álbum is my youth That new footage and info of the álbum making proccess and her singing acapella is amazing .I would LOVE to make or watch a properly well done documentary about her and her journey .
Thanks Bro!!!
Thank you for sharing your experience!! I encourage you !!congratulation for all your work
Thank You Family!
This is so good you should drop more footage
Its cruel all these unreleased songs we cant hear entirely lol
Fr
I love the part when she says Nassau Colesium, cause im from.Long Island
I can't even explain how much I love this beautiful soul called Lauryn Hill.
DOPE, bro!
A remarkable classic that we will never experience again from her….
Exfactor is my fave of them all
Has anything been done yet? We need this man!! 🙏🏾
I’m amazed at hearing the unreleased stuff, because it sounds so good but I can see how it wouldn’t fit the album. Seems like it probably took a lot of work to make sure that the songs picked were so unique in comparison to other music. Amazing.
Yes one of the ways we pick songs was riding around the hood with the windows down in my old Mazda truck blasting songs and seeing guys on the corners reactions. I had a nice system in the truck...lol.
@@SAVETHEARTSTV I know she’s coming back because she has over two decades of silence; therefore, she has so much things to say right now…what are the odds of you guys reuniting ? I know that shes gonna make history again but it’ll be dope if she teamed with you guys…I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her a few times. You guys are magic together…The world needs her. Ase🙏🏾
This vid is from 2 year ago. Is it out now to purchase? I hope you sell this for a lot or stream it and make your money back
2:29 yo that's the beat for lost ones
PLEASE DO THE DOCUMENTARY AND PUSH IT FOR NETFLIX
as an artist myself, it’s bothersome that nobody acknowledges what’s really going on. we hold our legendary artists so high, I still take music and its impact serious. One by one, my inspirations are not who I thought. I do not condone in not writing your own raps, if you gone be a rapper. At all. Whatsoever
Rappers have producers just like any other musician
Beyonce is a known thief in the industry
Do the documentary. A book won't do this any justice. Or a book in addition to the documentary. And I noticed the cuts that didn't make the album. Please reach out to Lauryn if you haven't already and get her on board.
I think what everyone wants to know is... what was lauryn hills contribution apart from performing? Because wyclef and pras both said she writes her own lyrics.
She is definitely a great writer and she wrote on every song. She just co-wrote with her team. And they didnt get credit until after the lawsuit...but the video highlights it all.
@@SAVETHEARTSTV well thanks for answering! That is exactly what i suspected. You guys deserved the credit and the money. Lol
But i just have to ask.... why didnt "new ark" or yourself seem to make more albums?
It seems like when lauryn "disappeared" you guys also disappeared with her. I read that vada nobles did something for rihanna (pon de replay) in 2005 but not much else.
Do you think lauryn hill will consider working with you guys again? guess she is too arogant for that.
Can you Make an album with beyonce or rihanna (or me) please. Thanks.
The Lauryn hill of today seems like a totally different person form the 90s both vocally and musically. Even her demenor and body language and speaking voice has changed. But we still cant help but love her
@@gabrielbrewster107 We have plenty records out. One of our biggest records generates way more money then any of Lauren's songs is called Miss California by Dante Thomas. Success is not simply based on the music its based on what the labels budget is for the artist. Some spend a lot to promot and market and others are simply trials. Every song or artist will never be as big as some of the others. That album is a classic. Not just because it was her but because people wear waiting to see what a solo album would be like after having major success with the Fugees. It was a great set up for her album. The Fugees sold millions of copies. But to answer your question more. I wrote for Faith Evans, John Legend, Anthony Hamilton, Pink, Dante, Fast &Furious, The Wood soundtrack, The Bait, Kings Ransom, Rush Hour, I shot 6 films to date, run a nonprofit called Save The Arts Foundation and so much more. I do a lot more then music. But thanks for the question.
@@SAVETHEARTSTV ok, but " the miseducation of lauryn hill" seems to be on a higher musical, lyrical and conceptual level than anything else you have mentioned. Miss california is ok but doo wop, to zion, forgive them father, everything is everything, lost ones are genius and can be listened to over and over for years to come.
@@gabrielbrewster107 Yes its more personal, and intimate. No love is greater then mother to child. No two projects will ever be the same. Its all Art bro. Notice this...without the combination of the crew that sound can no longer be duplicated.
I wanna hear that nothing even matters version, it sounds slightly different
Did you guys also co-wrote on Lauryn's rap verses? Or was that entirely her?
When are you planning to release the footage?
What I wanna know did yall make reference tracks for her and she performed them or was it just suggestions...people think all she did is sing which tracks are reference tracks
Nah, you cant just give L a song and say sing it. It's always a vibe! Us sitting around talking, listening to records, watching old movies, playing on keys, etc. and The humming melodies begin... She is a writer, singer, performer.
How many songs didn’t make the cut?
is this still releasing?
how much footage do you have/
Lots... over 5 hours, and its something in the making as we speak
It’s crazy how organic this process was. Organic to the point where she could lie about who contributed. lol
She didn't lie. Everyone who contributed was compensated and they all had a verbal agreement. It wasn't until the album blew up that everyone then wanted more credit but, musicians all say the same thing, even here, it was Lauryn's ideas that they helped come to sound. Lauryn does not play many instruments so though she may know how she wants something to sound, she can't play it but has to tell someone about the sound she is hearing in her head. As far as the writing, go listen to her Unplugged Album and hear the lyrics, way stronger than Miseducation. you can also listen to Consumerism and Neurotic Society so you can see her writing abilities. By the way, Praz and Wyclef both said that they did not help Lauryn write her bars, that it was the other way around. Lauryn's lexicon is probably at the top 1% and way above most emcees. Im not trying to put anyone down, but stating the facts.
@@nicolletelangdon2694 I’m not saying she stole all of it. But I remember when the album was released and it was said she was the sole contributor. That’s all. I remember
@@clockwork9825 The thing is that she may have been the sole contributor... I understand your point but, if it were her ideas and others added to it, it doesn't mean it was their ideas, or they were the ones who came up with it. I understand that Lauryn is only human and one person and she needs help like all of us. And I would even say she didn't do it all alone, there is no arguing that point. However, to put it in simple terms, chefs typically get credited for the food. Even if they were not the ones who grew the vegetables, herbs, or killed the animal if meat was used. Can you imagine a butcher coming into a restaurant and saying he helped prepare that dish?
Another example I can give you is a bridge built. Typically the engineer or architect get the full credit, but not the people who handled the equipment and put it up.
I'm not saying people should not be credited for their work, because they should However, lets also be honest about the amount of contribution. Like this video says, Lauryn's ideas were recorded and they went from there.
U look the exact same from old footage lol u were vloggin before it was a thing haha
Wow, your right!! I never thought about it like that...
Is this out yet?
No nothing is out yet.
@@SAVETHEARTSTV gotcha thanks
So you are the MisEducation of Lauren Hill
i dont believe anyone helped lauryn hill write lyrics to that album!
Is that right? Well thats a compliment...because your not suppose to think of a writer when you listening to a woman sing her heart out..
Everyone needs a little help. Even if it's just choosing the right words to ge lt your point across effectively. Or deciding the order of lyrics. Or I'll tell you the story and you lets figure out the best way to say it. It doesn't by any means take away from Lauryn's Talent and a writer or MC.
@@JJamael Exactly, and no one is trying to take anything from her, we were the ones who had to fight to get our credit
@@SAVETHEARTSTV Pleasant day Kilo, You said New Ark didn't get their credit until the law suit, however I am still unclear about something.
Are you currently credited as a producer or writer?
I ask because, according to everything i can find on the internet.
Lauryn Hill is STILL solely credited for 90% to 95%.
Is there any source that reflects the updated and current credits.
There are two seperate videos on youtube with Che Pope and James Poysner stating they were never 'paid' or 'credited', but when i check the liner notes i see Che credited as a co-producer on two songs and James as a writer on one song.
Yet they act like only Nee Ark benefited from the law suit amd they got nothing?
Where can the updated credits be found?
Sorry for being a bother. :)
@@gabrielbrewster107 The lawsuit ended as a settlement and i cant disclose the terms of the agreement. But the album cover has not been changed so yes it reads the same. And i havent seen the Che or James story, please share the link i would be interested in seeing what was said.
Co-writting and co-producing. Are totally different things. I can play all instruments but i hear tbe sounds...and i can write the melody or create the melody. Dont ms.hill. those still her words and concepts. .
I dont understand your statement bro about co writing and producing. I know exactly what it means. But whats your point? Are u saying someone didnt co-write or produce?
Also keep in mind we fought a 3 year lawsuit. With her 8 lawyers against our 1. Trust me i know the definitions or the words. But what most dont understand we didnt just fight for us we fought for all producers and writers who get jerked for there credits worldwide. We are the reason its a lot more producers getting there just due my brother!! We fought for you!
@@SAVETHEARTSTV this don't get enough recognition for real, appreciate y'all for being creative and keeping it real!!😤💯🙏🏾
So what lines did you and the team write? Since she had co writers but nobody can say what lines they wrote . Just looking for and artist to ride on 💴 it’s fxcking wicked .
@@ewill4236 I'm confused too
