TR #1: The 2000's 3rd Gen Mansfield Alto Toilet was an Utter Disaster

- The 3rd Generation Alto was made from Circa 2002 up until 2011. The 2nd Generation made from 1994 to Circa 2002 was well known for being complete crap, and this redesign managed to make things just as bad, if not worse. Let's see what went wrong with the making of this generation of Alto.
This video is amateurish, but overtime, the videos will greatly improve in quality.
FYI: I am not a plumber, but I know much more than you might think.
While some of Mansfield's designs definitely aren't very good, they make the best and most reliable tank parts from what I've seen. When I find Mansfield toilets, they are more likely than any other brand to contain original parts. The flush towers used in these toilets do have an issue with closing a little too soon but it should have been mentioned that the water level was set very low by the homeowner causing the flush tower to close way too soon. The handles are utter garbage though. Another thing about Mansfield parts is that they actually are not at all expensive or difficult to replace.
As for the toilets themselves, their small trapways don't do them any good but I've heard that they're pretty decent on normal use. I installed one for a large family and there have been zero complaints.
The problem with this particular Alto is that the water level is set too low & needs to be raised. The other problem is that the red seal at the bottom of the flush valve needs to be replaced. Other than that, these are pretty good (not great) toilets.
