  • Welcome to the latest episode of Big Trip! Today I am at Birmingham New Street on the West Coast Main Line as well as various other lines. Services are seen here by Virgin Trains (this was filmed before Avanti West Coast), CrossCountry, West Midlands Trains in the brands of West Midlands Railway and London North Western Railway and Transport for Wales.
Birmimgham New Street was amazing to visit! The station had some great variety as usual with not a lot of massive change in terms of traction and variety. The station does require a lot of moving around if you want films and pictures but is definitely worth it. The views are good with trains popping in and out of the tunnels too. Overall, an obviously brilliant station, one I enjoyed a lot!
Next Trains At: Trains at Smethwick Rolfe Street, WCML
Next Train Sim Journeys: Bristol Temple Meads to Cardiff Central

Avanti West Coast isn't even that good, recently there was a train that arrived into Oxenhome Lake District 100 minutes late, so the station was closed an the passengers had to wait 45 minutes until they could get out the station.
