That’s all he can say about Alabama? Bless his heart.
He was disrespectful to all the South. Ugh.
I love it when a southerner says bless your heart.. it is the nicest insult.. however the guy did deserve it. Love from idaho
@@Iroc_199 😆😆😆. Actually, bless your heart has several meanings depending on the inflection of the voice. It can show sympathy and empathy, but you are correct, it can be an insult. In this instance, it was an insult to one who made a video with no clue about the subject. Bless his heart. 😆😆
And he had the nerve to glorifie his own State, describing a California that existed 30 years ago
Instead of the shit hole it is today where a countless number of Homeless people shoot- up while out in the open and they shit up and down the streets. Its so bad that they have a phone number for people to call when a pooper scooper is needed to cleanup human feces. Its so bad that ancient diseases are coming back that hasn't been seen in centuries. And they have the highest number of Homeless people in the entire Country.
Even a Yankee such as myself from Pennsylvania knows what you're sayin. 😃😉
Orlando existed way before Walt Disney World! And in reality it was built more in Kissimmee than Orlando. This guy seems to just be spewing stereotypes and not real state facts.
Yeah that was weird. Orlando did go through a giant boom because of Disney, but he is waaaay off lol. I'm wondering if he's confusing the creation of Bay Lake and Lake Buena Vista with Orlando.
Technically speaking, Disney World is it's own city with it's own residents; It is a self-regulating municipality within a special district and it has it's own government. The Florida Legislature granted unilateral control over the land owned by Disney World. The land it is on 27,000 acres that was purchased from Orlando in 1965.
@@snowflakehunter yes lake buena vista is the town and Reedy creek is the fire/utilities entity
@@AppalachiaRRlover Not to argue, but Bay lake is the location of Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista is mostly known for being the mailing address of Walt Disney World.
@@snowflakehunter true but it was buena vista that Walt himself first named that area but there really is no
point arguing we are both right and the guy in the video is horridly wrong
I was disappointed because he started out with a falsehood. The Civil War did not begin in Alabama; it began in South Carolina. And, then he didn't give equal or fair assessments of the states.
first thing I said as well. Alabama has Huntsville the birth of NASA and aviation nerds like come on GeoNow.
@@BamaManXL Thanks for that correction, but the Confederacy started in South Carolina with the articles of secession?
@@BamaManXL I see. I forgot where the states met to form the Confederacy. Much ado about nothing on my part. I repent.
@@BamaManXL - Yes Sir - Roll Tide. Great points, regarding the confederacy and this countries past. Still think that a modern assessment of AL should not have included any of that drivel. It is 2022, and we should be well past that honestly. There is a lot that he should have pointed out regarding this state, and what he chose is stereotypical of a leftist from a blue state.
TheOC made a couple of really good suggestions near the top of this thread. Not arguing here, just to be clear, just throwing in my 2 cents. :-)
Greetings from Birmingham.
Alabama does have some connections to the beginning of the Civil War. Montgomery was the first (if temporary) capital, and I believe Jefferson Davis was inaugurated CSA president there. But you are correct, South Carolina was the first state to secede and that's where the War started.
I've traveled all over this country and every state is unique and worth visiting.
Sure, I never seen you.
Not only can you not see everything the USA has to visit in one trip, an American can tour the country two weeks every summer and still not experience everything in a lifetime.
@@darreljones8645 exactly what i try to keep saying. for as many places as they want to visit.. I'm not sure they understand the actual amount of time it would take just to get to all of these places without even experiencing them.
It bugs me that all he mentioned about Michigan was Detroit’s economic struggles. Nothing about the 2 peninsulas or the Great Lakes or countless other things he could’ve mentioned that people don’t know about
We are literally the cereal capital of the world with Battle Creek, produce the most cherries in the nation, Have one of the best higher education sectors, and Detroit is already out of its slump. It's not perfect but we are no where near as bad off as we used to be
@@cheeseninja1115 Exactly. Being born and raised in Michigan, I will always have love for the state no matter where I am. I love going to Detroit. We also have one of the world’s premiere learning institutions in the University of Michigan, which has been called the Harvard of the Midwest for years. People need to pay more attention to all of the good things our state brings.
He's from California 🤦🏻
You notice he's pretty much dismissive about every state but New York, California, and Chicago. 🤨
Plus we have the most Lighthouses.
Not from Rhode Island, but I lived there for some time. Honestly, it's a pretty great state. It's nickname is "the ocean state" and most people live within a short drive to the coast.
There's Newport, which is a fantastic small town right on the coast, in fact it's the final resting place of the HMS Endeavor (Captain Cook's ship). Newport has some of the largest mansions in the country, think Great Gatsby style from the gilded age.
Providence is the biggest "city" but it feels more like a large town. A huge foodie city, they hold their weight against much larger in population. Some of the best Korean food on the east coast, good authentic Mexican (not texmex), world class seafood, grossly underrated pizza, and much much more.
If you're ever traveling through New England, it's worth a full day visit.
Agree. Rhode Island is fantastic.
Rhode Island is a dump hole! Neither your state, nor you Michael are the least bit impressive.
Rhode Island is also the smallest state in America. Just thought I'd mention it as a little fun fact.
I lived in the Newport area for a bit. Thought it was nice. It was a long time ago though.
A lot of stereotypes in this.
I don't like what he said about Michigan or Detroit. The city of Detroit is so much fun and has a lot to do. Michigan is absolutely stunning. With other great cities, towns, food, and natural resources.
Detroit is very beautiful city. From big Eminem fan.
My aunt is from Saginaw. I've never been to Michigan, but want to visit.
So this video was mostly based on stereotypes and his satirical opinions on the states, but I have to say he really, REALLY gave off the wrong vibe with Michigan. There is so much more going on here than a bankruptcy that happened almost a decade ago now. We are the home of the American automobile, cereal, have the most lighthouses, have the second longest coastline other than Alaska, have 2 entirely separate landmasses, the longest suspension bridge in the western hemisphere, have an island that looks like a meteor, the Great Lakes, Sleeping Bear Dunes, waterfalls galore, beautiful autumn leaves, and so much more. Where I live for example, I could feasibly visit 3 Great Lakes in a single day!
Rhode Island does HAVE islands within it and it's pretty beautiful in the summer. Newport has mansions and beautiful beaches; Providence has allegedly great nightlife; Taylor Swift's mansion is in Westerly.
Tennessee has the Smokey Mountain National Park. Elvis's house is called Graceland and is in Memphis. Nashville is where all the country music and Honky Tonks are but also The Titans football and the Predators Hockey !!!
And Dollywood and Pigeon Forge 😁
He totally did Michigan an injustice. He talked about Detroit a city in Michigan. Not Michigan the state. The State is awesome. A water and wilderness wonderland.
guess your getting the new plates lol
Same with New York
Although New York sucks
Michigan is the worst state. Detroit (known for corruption) 50 miles from Flint (known for being its own third world country). Six out of ten of the worst cities to live in America ranked are in Michigan alone, and have been for a decade minimum.
Anyone who lives here should move, if only for improved water quality.
If anything he was too kind.
@@mattie3867 those are two small areas of a very large state. I live in northern Michigan and it's absolutely gorgeous with very clean air and water. You're misjudging an entire state by two crappy cities. He totally did Michigan an injustice. He didn't mention the Mackinac Bridge being the longest suspension bridge in the western hemisphere, Sault Saint Marie, the large quantity of lakes, beaches and forests. There's more to Michigan than Detroit or the Flint water crisis.
I’m from Ohio, but I need to defend Michigan. Look up Traverse City Michigan. We drove there to pick up a Donkey Kong arcade and WOW! It’s absolutely beautiful. Detroit is not all of Michigan which is mainly where he was referring to when describing the state.
As a Michigan Yooper, I sincerely appreciate the defense. Ohio isn't that bad either lol!
Thanks for the love. I think Ohio got short shrift, too.
I mean, Ohio does have a large population of Amish people. They make great furniture and awesome foods so I’m not mad about it 😆 but how he skips Cedar Point is beyond me.
I like that Millie wears the Harvard tops, it's kind of become her brand.
It's kindof become a thing in this channel
Shut up
@@jimmybright7579 No, I'm specifically talking to you.
So her name is Millie? That's cool. What's his name?
Surprised James isnt wearing Champion in this one 😂
I had a third grade teacher who told us it was pronounced R Kansas, I got in trouble when I asked her why the people who lived there didn't know how to properly pronounce the name of their own state. I had to sit beside her desk for a month. She was an idiot!!
I unsuccessfully tried to explain to my second grade teacher that Texas isn't a peninsula. I didn't get in trouble for that but I did get in trouble for resting my head on my hand. She was the teacher I most thoroughly disliked.
Wasn't happy what he said about Michigan...there is so much to see here...surrounded by the beautiful great lakes!! The gorgeous lake belt...
Plus we have the most Lighthouses.
@@cattzlobdell-zarraga8362 And outhouses
Yeah all those militia guys seem swell and don't get started how awesome it is to have cities with undrinkable water.
Us Clevelanders claim Lake Erie yall can have the rest lol but I agree only Midwesterners know Michigan is one of the best Midwest states coming from an Ohioan
Mackinac Island fudge is an absolute gem.
Hi you all, he skimmed over Montana pretty quick. Yellowstone is also in a section of Montana we also have glacier park and boarder Canada. There is skiing here and we are known for our big sky and beautiful mountains. So don’t pass over us to quickly. I love your reviews.
I'm not from Rhode Island, but I've been to the International Tennis Hall of Fame there, which is great--also nice grounds that will sort of remind you of Wimbledon but on a much smaller scale. They also have some huge mansions from when families like the Vanderbilts and oil barons had enormous (enormous) summer homes there. Some are open to the public.
I’m from Pennsylvania, and I can agree with a lot of history here. Especially Gettysburg
Philadelphia
Yep there is a lot of history in Pennsylvania especially Gettysburg. I don't live in Pennsylvania but I live about 15 to 20 minutes away from the Pennsylvania state line. I live in Pennsylvania's neighbor state which is Maryland. There is a lot of history here in Maryland also.
The reason for Rhode Island's name is that the full name originally was Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. Rhode Island is the largest island in the state, in Narragansett Bay, and Providence is the state capital on the mainland.
Not all of Iowa is flat and theres many beautiful areas to see and visit and of course its like he hits the most negative aspect of places.
I agree. Not from there, but anyone even driving through Iowa can see that "all flat" is a misconception. Illinois and Indiana are more flat than Iowa.
They actually mentioned Crazy Horse for my state! Most people ignore that for some reason - And he actually put Mount Rushmore here, as I have seen so many people just shove it into North Dakota (A ton of Nonfiction books do this too, so it just seems to be a generalized thing). I have actually argued against people over the internet for its location.... while living a half an hour away from Mt Rushmore. Crazy Horse is very cool too - They have declined the funding from the American government so many times, as its a source of pride for them to finish it themselves.
The Crazy Horse monument is destroying a sacred Native American mountain, just as Mt Rushmore did. Many Native Americans consider them both desecrations.
@@gl15col Haha, yeah yeah. Crazy Horse is built by Native Americans, so your words? Lies, man.
I've been to Crazy Horse. It is amazing and is been funded by Native Tribes. Besides the mountain sculpture, there is an excellent museum of art and craft from many, many Tribes represented. I spent more time in the museum than I did looking at the mountain! It is definitely worth the trip.💜
@@nelldesign787 Oh yeah, I definitely agree! I recommend it for a trip more so than Mount Rushmore (Mt Rushmore is a bit of a tourist trap, so yeah).
Interesting fact: Florida has both the oldest city ( the city that was first founded), Pensacola, and the oldest continuous city ( the city that was founded but never temporarily abandoned), St. Augustine.
Hey just started watching y’all recently. I don’t really care for all the reactions channels out there, but I keep coming back to your videos. Keep up the great work! I especially like the military reactions, I would like to recommend a motivational speech that Admiral McRaven did for the commencement at a college in Texas. It’s a longer video, but there are versions that are edited very well, and it’s wholesome! Like I said, thank you and keep up the great work
Stereotypes for Texas are more or less accurate. We do love our guns here. It's just that the stereotype of wide open skies isn't as widespread as people think. We are still predominantly rural in terms of land but we do have some of the biggest cities in terms of population in the country too: 4 of the top 10 and 5 of the top 20.
For sure! Texas is almost 3 times the size of Britain itself. There’s tons of land to go around for ranching, but our cities and suburbs are abundant.
Great reactions! Love your channel.
Hey man, you can breeze over Nebraska by saying corn and steak, but you must admit they're like the two best things, lol.
And the Huskers...even though they haven't given us much to cheer about lately...lol
@@GrandpasWorkbench lol yeah it's been awhile
At least you guys got a more positive summary than Michigan...
Rhode Island has Newport a ritzy town. It also has brown university of the Ivy League.
I live over here, yet by his description I wouldn’t have recognized many of these states
I’ve actually started using your British vernacular ie: keen, brilliant, fair play, fair enough & my favorite mental. Keep doing your thing. We’re enjoying the watch.
For a short synopsis of each state that is more accurate, look for state travel videos.
That lighthouse was the Portland Head Lighthouse. Maine is a beautiful state. You should definitely have it on your list of places to visit. New England is especially nice in the Fall when the leaves start changing.
I am from Baltimore, Maryland and I agree with what he said but there is also a lot more. Maryland was home to Francis Scott Key who wrote the National Anthem for the USA. We also have Fort McHenry which successfully defended the United States in multiple battles. Maryland also has some decent trails to walk/hike/ and bike on, a huge number of national and state parks, The National Aquarium is always fun to visit, and if you are into Art their a lot of wonderful art museums. We do love our seafood but do have a lot of different options like Pit Beef which is commonly used on sandwiches. Maryland might not have as much to offer as other states and have its problems but overall I enjoy living here.
There's a lot more to Maine than the coastline and lobsters. We have some of the most beautiful woods anywhere.
Am from New Hampshire and frequent Maine. Don't sleep on the National parks, hikes, and outdoors there!
Maine has great beaches. My favorite is/was ( I am in MT now) Popham Beach, fantastic. An off shore island you could walk to, tidal pools, and tidal streams, great waves and views, what's not to love. I will always think of it as my ideal beach. Plus the lakes great campgrounds and hiking , too. Maine is a beautiful state.
I've spent some time in Jackman and my family vacationed on Long Lake (near Sebago Lake) when I was a kid. I have also been canoeing on the Allagash waterway system (amazing trip). And I have climbed Katahdin (from the north side, not up the AT). Maine is in my blood: My family on my mother's side came from Yarmouth and most of the men were on the ships in the early 1800s (one was a ship's master). So much wild beauty in Maine -- more than any other eastern state.
From New Hampshire as well but God I love Maine's beaches, insanely beautiful.
And it's the home of great author Stephen King..
Millie dont let the food in Louisiana scare you. You would be surprised. Louisiana has some of the best food actually.
Okay so I just watched your trying american snaks video you uploaded late January and at the time you didnt have a PO box so i skipped ahead to your most recent video hoping you had gotten one and YOU DID! Guys, I'm gonna send you sooo much good snacks to try prepare yourselves lol
Arkansas also has the only diamond mine field where you can search for real diamonds .
He's not wrong about Pennsylvania, everywhere here has deep history even outside of Philly, we have Gettysburg which was the battle ground in the civil war that was the turning point for the war and you can also take a medal detector and find old relics from soldiers in the ground, and I also live in a town that was kind of Black Beards vacation spot, and the whole town was named after his mistress who lived here, you got the Franklin institute in Philly, the old naval yard, Independence Hall, the liberty bell, this whole state is a giant American time capsule.
Definitely fly into Denver and drive up through Grand Tetons as it borders Yellowstone
Denver is about a 10-hour drive from Yellowstone, though. There are airports in Jackson Hole and Bozeman that would put them much closer. Arriving in Denver would mean a lot of driving and about two days if they wanted to stop and see anything on the way. I have flown into Jackson Hole, which is a nice airport. True, you do have to connect (often in Denver) but I think the time saved is worth it. Plus, the Tetons are right there at Jackson Hole. I would also recommend a trip to Colorado for its own sake, of course.
Elvis' home Graceland (in Memphis Tennessee) is surrounded by a pretty sketchy area. It's also surprisingly small.
Yeah it is. We were passing thru Memphis and my girl wanted to check it out. If I remember right it was really expensive to park and go in so we didn't. Memphis is all sketch. We walked Beale St and got the heck out of there.
Thumbs up for you guys but the 50 state video is kind of a low blow to most states. Not totally inaccurate per se, rather just a bunch of unfair stereotypes and very few facts.
4:16 You can fly directly to Yellowstone (just south of it) but the airfares to Colorado probably would be cheaper. Spend a few days in Rocky Mountain national park, then drive to Yellowstone. 5:20 Unfortunately I see the Little Miss contests as rather tragic in some ways. No child needs that sort of pressure. 10:06 I think Graceland is Elvis' home once he had a lot of money. I'm not much of a fan so I'm not sure (hunka hunka burnin' love, Baby).
Just fair warning: GTS indicates that driving from Denver to Yellowstone is a 10.5 hour drive. That's close to a full day in the car, if you don't stop. Going to Rocky Mountain NP (which I highly recommend) would pretty much add another day to be able to see anything there. Jackson Hole, WY is less than two hours from the south entrance to Yellowstone, and you can take in views of the Grand Tetons immediately after getting off the plane. Just sayin'.
@@johnalden5821 I agree with John there. Yellowstone is a full day's drive from RM natl park. But having 2 weeks would allow a few days in RM natl park, a week in Yellowstone/Jackson Hole, then a few days in Glacier NP. Another long drive away from Yellowstone. The easiest (most expensive flight) if to fly to Jackson Hole. But you may regret not seeing the other two.
@@hardtackbeans9790 You make a good case, actually, if they are up for a three-park trip. It would be a good bit of driving, but yeah, it would be worth it.
Geography Now is a great channel. They do great work researching individual countries. Yes, Millie would have known how to pronounce Arkansas.

My wife and I are from and live in The Ozarks of Arkansas. It's beautiful here! We also have Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. There are 47 natural hot springs flowing from Hot Springs Mountain. The natural spring water is sold in the USA. It's called Mountain Valley Water. We have the only diamond
mine in Murfreesboro.
It’s not the only diamond mine. It’s the only one that is public and anyone can go to get diamonda
I was at Table Rock Lake in Arkansas, beautiful!! There was a local fishing derby ( 35 years ago) and everyone, I mean the whole population, came out to fish the streams, rivers, creeks!! Folks were lining up shoulder to shoulder to fish. It was remarkable and very fun. Fond memories of Arkansas.
The confederacy started in south Carolina not Alabama. South Carolina succeeded from the union first.
SC was the first state to secede and the Civil War started in Charleston -- very true. However, Montgomery is where the delegates first met in February 1861 to form the Confederate States of America and Jefferson Davis was inaugurated there. In that sense, it was the first capital of the CSA, although the capital was moved pretty quickly to Richmond after that.
Amazon is based in Seattle, Washington and not Silicon Valley in California. Elvis was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, and grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, where Graceland is located.
This video is a more shallow look at most states. One nice thing about a comment section is we can share a bunch more about our own states that maybe other Americans didn't know about. I currently live in Ossipee, New Hampshire, and on all of the "welcome to Ossipee, New Hampshire" signs it also says "home of the first snow mobile."
Historically New Hampshire has always been more proud than reasonable about being first at things, like being the first to sign the declaration of independence, after being the first state to declare independence, because Congress was taking too long to make the decision. More recently New Hampshire invented paintball, and we still do the old-school "outdoor" style the best. "Outdoor" meaning we favor a variety of woods and ply-wood courses, with camo being popular as apposed to colorful team uniforms and inflatable generic shapes for cover; we call that more modern style "speedball" and it's available, but not as popular.
We can also be borderline obsessive about freedom in a way where we tend to be socially liberal, and fiscally conservative, which is closer to what the term "liberal" means in the UK, or "Libertarian," in the U.S., although we seldom elect Libertarians, because the candidates themselves are often uncomfortably weird (like stoner/pedo vibes). The state motto is "Live Free or Die;" we have no state sales tax or income tax; there's no legal requirement to wear a seatbelt if you are over 18 years old; that sort of thing.
It’s been a real treat watching Millie get more comfortable on the channel and start to show more of her personality.
Rhode Island has a nice zoo and beautiful beaches.
I live in RI and we have some really cool islands - Block island - Jamestown, Connicqut(?) island - Newport, Aquidneck island - these are 3 of the more famous but there are so many neat islands.
There is so much more to Michigan than just Detroit, it is a beautiful state whose reputation in ruined by one small part of it.
Millie is scoring on James left and right -- Arkansas. Graceland....
A fun video . Thanks !
Disney’s Pocahontas wasn’t accurate. I’m assuming the guy is being sarcastic. In reality, Pocahontas was about 12 years old and there was never a romance between her and the much older John Smith.
Yeah, that was the joke. Pretty much none of it was accurate outside the names and locations.
It's funny how Millie says she wants to be live in America. I'm an American, and the idea of living in Jersey sounds amazing to me. I've also fantasized about moving to Scotland for years. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side.

@@jenniferpearce1052 No, we pay double the price for insufficient healthcare. Uni students are already grown up. 100 percent agree!!!
I mean, wasn't that the point? I don't think anyone in their right mind should be taking this video seriously. I thought it was meant to be a simple video with stereotypes and some facts mixed in, but everyone is offended. We have parts of the Federal Government here (Pentagon, CIA Headquarters, Patent Office); tourist sites (Arlington Cemetery, George Washington’s Mount Vernon, Civil War battlefields) and easy access to DC with the museums, monuments and other attractions.
Except for college (University) and 18 months when I was little, I have lived here all my life. If you are coming to the DC area, I could give some good pointers for getting around and having fun without spending too much money.

I'm not from Delaware and even I'm insulted. Delaware is home to Dover Air Force Base. Its principal resident is the Military Airlift Command. The Air Forde's biggest planes fly out of there. But, there is another, more solemn mission that makes it unique and very special, on Arlington's level of special. Lots of YT videos to explore or react to if you'd like.
Military Airlift Command was deactivated in 1992 and replaced by Air Mobility Command.
The military aside, Delaware is home to some great beaches and lovely little beach towns. You won't find the major resorts that are prevalent in neighboring states, but you will find surf and serenity -- and plenty of people are willing to pay top dollar for those!
Also, Delaware has a town which still has houses built in the 1600's where people actually reside there.
Technically, Manhattan is one of the five boroughs of New York City and is also the same as New York County. Each of the other four boroughs are their own counties as well.

There's so much to see and do in Washington, D.C. If you do go there, give yourselves at least four days if not more. The Smithsonian museums alone will take a lot of time to go through. Hope you enjoy your next visit to the U.S.!

A Fan From Sarasota, Florida. USA
Washington state home of the two richest people in the world. I love living here but the weather is almost exactly like England.
Also known for the small town areas where Twin Peaks show was filmed ( old one & new ). Oh and Kyle MacLachlan's winery.
lol I'm from CA, but have lived in D.C. for 4+ years (my family is from here), D.C is so underrated. We have so many monuments, great shopping, iconic food, amazing culture, and dope ass museums/history. We are referred to as the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) -- so you can visit three in one when coming here. I'm only one metro stop from VA. I think we also have the (second?) highest African American population in the country. Also, we're definitely not only politics and politicians, the DMV is a great place for things like hiking, brunch, etc., too (iykyk). I still never get tired of walking on the national mall and feeding the ducks in the reflecting pool where Dr. King gave his "I Have a Dream" speech. ICONIC. Not to mention, sometimes I take Amtrak or drive down to NY and stay for the weekend. I feel like the D.C. is a great home-base for visiting other states as well.
Rhode Island has beautiful beaches, and they have Hammersmith Farm, which was owned by Jacqueline Kennedy’s family. president Spent many vacations there. It was an attraction to the public until they sold the property to the present owners. It is close to the famous Ocean Drive which has the homes of celebrities like Jay Leno and Judge Judy. The drive ends at Belview Avenue which has the Mansions of the rich and famous and has daily tours. This all happens in Newport, Rhode Island. Many gift shops and fine dining on Thames Street.
Hey there from Colorado! Just a little tip about your comment about hopping up to Yellowstone National Park from Colorado (4:15)... Yellowstone National Park south entrance is 637 miles (1025.15 km) north from Denver Colorado. Which equates to an 11 hour drive. ^_~
Colorado is where I live. Its beautiful and usually has great weather. It is high elevation so some people have a difficulty with that, thinner air and possible elevation sickness (in mountains). All my family who has come out from the Eastern states have commented about it so I assume that might be the same for anyone from England.
LOL, I am from Oregon and totally agree. We still rock the flannel and docs! The food options here are amazing. We are also one of the few states that you can travel and experience beach, desert, valley, forest, and mountains (though don't try to do it all in one day).
"That sounds familiar" - says California
I live in Pennsylvania. In my area alone there is a lot of history. Yuengling, the oldest continually working brewery in the US. Centralia mine fires. Anthracite coal. The Molly Maguires( movie on that one). One of Alexander Bell’s workshops.
I hope you get the 2.5 likes quickly!
There's so much diversity..
People, land formation, flora and fauna that it would take me a lifetime to check out all of the cool stuff in the states.
When I joined the Air Force I took a sight seeing tour of Napa Valley with a friend. She was from Long Island and I was from Connecticut which is right next to NY. We were talking about the beautiful fall foliage we were missing when someone in the seat behind us leaned forward and said “New York doesn’t have trees”…we looked at her and said the state is very large with lots of farms and forests and even NY, NY has Central Park on Manhattan which is huge. We were rolling with laughter. That person actually thought all of NY was high rises. Assumptions should not be made unless you have been there.
literally happens somewhere every single day! I'm from NY state south of Buffalo near the PA line, and went to college in Illinois in the Chicago area. I was amazed how many people thought that all of NY was just city. And apparently it was amazing to them that I didn't have a NYC accent. And then I had a roommate who was from Buffalo NY who could never understand the concept that Chicago was a city and not a state. Like literally messed it up every day.
True, though NYC has more skyscrapers than trees.
Odd, living here all my life my wife and I have the same list as you guy's to see our own country lol.
Oregon was 100 percent. I laughed and laughed because I live in Washington and then he said we were like Oregon with computers. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
And you can boast about Twin Peaks.
In defense of Rhode island, it has beautiful beaches and great seafood like in Port Judith. In Newport, the "summer cottages" of the Golden Age line the beach and the Tennis Hall of Fame is there, too.
Vermont is still a beautiful, rural wonderland but very forward thinking. Many towns, schools, businesses have their own solar arrays, and organic farming is growing exponentially. Great farm to table restaurants all over the state, with an extensive fine art and craft culture, great music venues, especially in summer, again statewide but all while maintaining that quaint New England vibe. Plus skiing, snowboarding, all manner of snow sports in winter. Should add Vermont to your list. I lived there for nearly 30 years and do miss it's cozy kind of beauty, ablaze with color during autumn "foliage season" and even the deep, muddy ruts of "mud season". Go there, you won't be disappointed.💜
I love Vermont. My wife and I spent our honeymoon there in the Northeast Kingdom area. If I were a couple decades younger I would backpack the Long Trail. Oh well, I can still drink the beer.
I’m from Tennessee and think you two should give it a visit. The beauty of the Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee, along with Gatlinburg and Dollywood, the live country music and tourism industry in Lower Broadway of Nashville is a must-visit, and of course Memphis’s Beale Street has great blues and barbecue, not to mention Elvis’s Graceland. Spring and Fall are most enjoyable, while Summer can get pretty hot and a bit humid.
Rhode Island had the first Jewish Synagogue built in America. The Touro Synagogue in Newport. We also have a ton of small islands throughout Narragansett Bay one of which is Rhode Island, but we call it by it's native name Aquidneck.
I love when Millie roasts James ! My mother was born in Ar-Kansas . Cheers from Mississippi.
I'll have everyone know that nylon was invented in Delaware. We are a small, but proud people.
lol

Im from Albuquerque new mexico born and raised here not only did tbey film brraking bad but ever year around christmas our biggest attraction is the river of lights where the Albuquerque botanical garden opens up and you can go and view the Christmas lights in all kinds of ways like animals boats etc.
Lol Arkansas girl here. Owns 3 dogs. We also have a diamond mine, lots of crystals and grow more rice than any other state.
So the movie " Home Alone" was filmed 20 miles north of Chicago. Chicago must be on your must list.
"Where the Red Fern Grows" takes place in Oklahoma not Arkansas...
I just got a notification telling me to subscribe to you I bet describe to you for a very long time I like your videos I have another CZcams channel and I subscribe to you even longer with that one I think you're such a good person I hope you're happy take care of yourself buddy
I'm from New Jersey and I laughed so hard at his description of it 😆😆
It's so funny to me how people from England call a vacation a holiday cuz to me holiday is lk Christmas or 4th of July and things lk that not my vaca
In terms of the Kansas/Arkansas thing, don't expect American English to make sense. This is where we pronounce St. Louis like it's spelled "St. Lewis." lol
Louisville, KY, pronounced “Looweeville”, then there’s Louisville, OH pronounced “Loowisville”. Gotta love the USA!
I don’t remember if I’m commenting on the correct video because I usually watch at night before going to sleep. But I live in Delaware, our counties are Sussex, Kent, New Castle, surrounding towns are Milton, Milford, Cambridge, canterbury, Concord, Derby Shores, Dover (our capitol), and many more.
When people talk about New York as being the city that never sleeps, people overlook that it’s a literal saying. The people definitely sleep. It’s just that there’s so much going on, as one person goes to bed another rises…hence the CITY never sleeps.
Monument Valley is where they used to film the Roadrunner cartoons.
When they filmed on location.
oldest tavern in America is located in Newport Rhode Island. The White Horse Tavern
