If he had mentioned marriage she would have refused it knowing that the downfall of a man is not the end of his life, the Lord who created her will definitely bring a true destiny helper. ACTUALLY in reality he has a fair headstart and a better chance as the benefactor if he had handled himself well. Genuine humble kindness goes a long way. Well,I have a contrary opinion. There's no permanent definition to any relationship, maybe Marriage as an exception. We've had married couples who met by arguments/disagreement, & we've seen blood Sisters who became sworn enemies. The main thing is for every relationship to be constantly evaluated & re-assessed,even the already defined one. Definition can change over time.The two parties involved would now have to decide if, & how they want to manage the evolution happening to the relationship. For instance,this man might actually have nothing in mind from the start,but he might later realize the young Woman to be a good potential Wife. His biggest error was he dn't re-evaluate the relationship, letting her know definition has changed & allowing her the freedom to decide how she wants to manage the new 'definition'. He had a good chance but wasted it,She would have seen him as her mentor.But his personality dn't convince her.
