- Our trip to South West Rocks this year was still heaps of fun even though we had extreme weather. Check out how the Opus survived the storm with us. Overall, I am really happy with how she went.

Hi Amy, thanks very much for the video. Does it take long for it to dry off after the rains? I imagine you need to dry out the canvas before storing it away?

Depending on how sunny it is, it can take a few hours. These days though, I’m not loving the Opus. If works fine but it has many rust spots and I hate sleeping in it when it’s super windy. Look at caravans instead if you can. Soon I hope to be upgrading because I hate how much effort it takes to pack up.
Do you still have this camper? Is it as easy as they make it out to be at the shows? I'd there any other things that you've found over time. Like lack of storage for pots etc. Is there enough storage to have pots, plates, bowls and cups etc left in the camper always? Great vid thanks
Hi Amy - thanks for sharing this video. A year on, do you still have the Opus? What do you think of it now? Did Set Up Camp eventually respond and help with the issue? I'm considering buying one from them.
Hey thanks mate, Set up camp requested a video so I sent it and went to see them and still they did nothing about it. We haven’t had the problem since but it could be because we haven’t been in heavy rain. Overall we like it but will eventually get a caravan.

Hi ! Great video ! I'm looking forward to purchase a OP4. Does it resist to heavy rain ? I saw in the video that it was leaking inside, was that a real issue ? I'm planning to hit the road for a year around North America with my family, so we're trying to find a good camper trailer.

Hey mate. Yes it did leak. It was a bit of a problem but the rain was really heavy. It was a mini cyclone so normally it wouldn’t be a problem with normal rain.

Just wondering what the blue patterned flooring or mat was that you had down in your annex area? Did you have anything else under that blue flooring? Thanks for sharing!
Hi the mat is a Recycled Plastic Mat from Recycled Mats. We do not have anything underneath.
was wonder how the Opus would be in the Snow? Would you freeze? Would cold get in? or is a Sold Indoor Trailer better for all Weather?
I’m sure it would still be cold in the snow. You could close it all up and use a potable heater.
@@amylouise4027 LoL ya I would close it up. Has a heater inside I believe. But was wondering if it be enough. And even with it all closed up. Would the Heat leak out the seems and cold get in. I wonder if they Rate these and RV Trailers. Ok, guess it time to start looking things up. Cheers!

After all this went through are you happy with the opus? I'd there anything you don't like about it?
It held up pretty well. For a camper trailer, I think it’s pretty good. If I want anything better, I’d need to buy a caravan. When I have enough money and the kids have grown up, we’ll buy one but for now, this does the job. I don’t like that Set Up Camp has not done anything about the water leak though. I’ve emailed them 3 times.
@@amylouise4027 but do you think for the price point that its worth it compared to a travel trailer you could get in that range

Recycled plastic mats. I think that’s the name of the company.

@@AdamIam1 we have a large grey trunk that we store everything in. The trunk goes in the back of our hilux.
You’ve had the opus camper for a while now?!? What’s your thoughts on it??
We still really like it. There are some things that have been improved in the newer versions which is good. The best thing is how easy it is to set up. We used to use a tent, this is so much easier than how we used to do it. No poles is the best thing ever. Also how spacious it feels.
That’s good to hear! I placed a deposit on a OP4 but unfortunately coz demand I won’t get it till March! I’ll pop into the head office next week when they open to check one out in person.
