      Halfrican Beaute Hey My name is Musiah & I have cut my hair off twice and the first time I just wanted to try something new and the second time I had too because it fell out. I bleached it and it really hard to to get my curls back they are real loose and don't curl as well as they use too and it's very frustrating. Also trying to do a a wash and go it also difficult because my curls aren't as PAWPING as before I bleached it . How do I get back to my natural state. The bleach really damaged my hair it has grown out majority of the way but its just like Ugh !

    Hi Sweetie,
    I’m a 62 year old fabulous grandmother of 6, & I feel like I have adopted another granddaughter.(you) LOL! Thank you so much for the wonderful and invaluable information you have shared with us all. I have been locked for 18 years. Made the mistake of cutting it, & due to medications, my hair has become very dry and brittle. But with intense care it’s finally, slowly coming back. It’s just thin on my crown, and shoulder length all over. Now I know the porosity, density, texture and type, thanks to you . Low porosity, low density, fine, type 2-3
    (it refuses to hold a curl of any kind). Again, thank you for the information, and delivering it to us in a way that was accurate, interesting, articulate and just ‘plain old fun’.
    God Bless You 🙏🏽

Plus, putting all those videos out for everyday last week gave me time to film more videos for the following weeks to come lol it's definitely a formula to this

    Thank you! I wish some people would just say Type 4 if they have a mix of curls. Too often people say 4c just for clickbait.
    A simple analogy would be like a tanner light skin person giving makeup tips for "dark skin girls". Like hello that is clearly click bait and whilst your makeup may look good and we are all Black women, I can't take a shade reference from you because youre in the medium tan section and i need deep or dark shades.
    Translation: People with Type 4C hair are like those looking for deep or dark shades. There are so many people trying to get a shade reference but CZcams and social media is filled with sharks trying to get clickbait for 4c whilst they posters are really have some patches of 4c [if youre lucky] and hella 4b/a.
    Give 4C guys and gals a chance to actually see ourselves on screen. Use Type 4 if you're not sure or you have a mix of hair types. Stop taking textbook 4c folks advantage.

I have Medium Porosity/ High Density/ Fine Hair Width/ and 3B/3C Hair Type. Knowing my hair width has helped TREMENDOUSLY! I couldn’t understand why so many people from the natural hair community recommend buns and braids for protected styling and my hair would get so tangled. Honestly my hair does the best when I just leave it alone. I put a cap on when I sleep but DON’T tie my hair up or braid it. Doesn’t help me at all.

    Awesome video! Since I stopped relaxing over 10 years ago, i have been learning how to take care of my hair that is a 3b/3c which was so annoying growing up that I opted for relaxer ruining all of my beautiful curls, not to mention the scalp damage. I will never EVER put another relaxer or straightening chemical in my hair again.

    You betta school me, Sis!!! Yazzzzzzz !!! 👏👏👏👏This is the most comprehensive, overall explaination and educational tool on natural hair types for people of African origin. Until this tutorial, I just did not get it. Why? Where all the other tutorials or vlogs took the approach to only focus on a certain type of hair (their own), your tutorial is inclusive. You do not assume everyone knows their hair types, what hair porosity, and that hair has a density, and how to determine your hair type. Who knew? I didn't, and I appreciate that you focused on making sure we are all informed. No one else has done that !! Thanks millions !!!👏👊✊ #nonappyheadleftbehind

I’m nervous and not feeling too good about my decision right now but I did learn that I have high porosity hair, it’s fine, and when wet I think it’s a type three. I’m not sure yet the type but I will be checking back and keeping up with how to take care of my natural hair. I love curls and I pray that this works out well for me!

    I need help!
    POROSITY: I thought normal bcz my hair keeps moisture and can take all day to dry and I feel in the strands the bumps some more than others . But the cup experiment resulted in low.
    WIDTH: I have very thin and normal strands all over (3a-3b depending on how I dry it and if I detangle it) then on the top I have a few thick strands that are allways 3c and horrible to manage!
    And my hair seems to act differently than what you describe... My hair without much care (cheap shampoo and coconut oil as a leave in) looks soft and shiny bleached, natural, or colored. I can go 7 months without a trim and have no need for a trim. I rarely use heat maybe that helps. But no silk pillow are special drying techniques. I actually dry how we aren't supposed to. All this and my gair looks and feels amazing.
    SO WHAT IS UP WITH MY HAIR?! Im growing out a pixie and I want to go to extremely long and starting to take interest in all of this.

      @diamondgodisis5367 Před 5 lety +1

      Usually when your hair is multiple textures one of two things, maybe a combination, is going on. It's internal, you need to detox or there is damage present from breakage caused by split ends and/or dryness. Keep in mind u got two textures so your routine may not b helping the problem area. Also, pay attention to your scalp, if it's not tended to it can cause your pores to clog which will prevent the hair from growing as it shud which will result in a off texture as well. Hope this helps!

      jaishon wilson that's right African AMERICAN Sudan is a country which is in Africa which is why it's called Sudanese just like I'm from Florida and we're called Floridians my Father in which was born and raised in Khartoum Sudan broke it down for me Black is African American while on the other hand Sudan is a country in the continent of Africa don't forget there are white Africans too so to say we're black just because it's Africa is completely false people that say that don't know history and geography and those are my subjects

    • @jaiwilson7318
      @jaiwilson7318 Před 6 lety +31

      Shama Elshreif there are no white africans ... the south africans you speak of are literally Europeans who went a took over the country so no you dont spit false knowledge if you are from North Africa youre most likely arab but everyone from africa originally are black you know the thig where you have high levels of melanin... plus i agree black is an american term but i mean black is black we all from the same continent in the long run i know that africans tend to say that they are not black and the tribe they arefrom just like white people like to say that they are swedish and german etc instead of white but that doesn’t cjange the fact that they are white. Overall your black and white and native to sat youre sudanese is ok but its just the same thing your dad just isnt from america! Like ok cool doesnt change the fact that its black
