This story was the heart of my nondual Awakening Sessions with clients and students for three years, from 2013-2016. It was instrumental in waking up hundreds of people (so to speak). I had an awakening experience a few months ago and came back to the separate self in intense fear. I have held onto that fear. After watching this, I can feel that I let go some of that fear. Not all, but its certainly less intense. I will watch this over and over.
Good for you! Repetition is the mother of clarity.
Is it true that you "came back to the separate self"? How did you pull that off, given that your awakening experience's chief take-home message was that there IS NO separate self.
Do you see some inconsistency here? That's the dream in operation. You are the Unborn, That which is before and after all dreaming.
I want to watch it but i;m a bit scared myself hahah. I've had several experiences but some negative, some positive and some extremely terrifying. I've been trying to take baby steps cos I don't want everything to just flip on it's head instantly. I have a lot of 'penny dropped' moments listening to people like Mooji and Eckhart but all these comments say this is a lot more foolproof haha/

It's worth noting that this gift need to sit with a "person" and be reflected on after it's heard- not just as it's heard. Expectation or anticipation of a result reinforces the "me" intercessor which is the only problem- "me" wants something, wanting is "me-ing".

I watched this yesterday evening and it was great - no problem removing "me" from the equation. But when I opened. my eyes, the world was still the same on the outside as always. My meditation this morning was top of the range - I shot straight back into the "no me" and sat for 45 minutes enjoying the sense of being. But once again, same old world out there when I open my eyes. There's some inner silence along with activity, but that's not the same as awakening, the self knowing itself, the oneness that your clips of people waking up describe.

After reading Avaïta books, I began to attend satsangs or workshops in Paris or international websatsangs in English. And then in 2015 I had private (one-on-one) sessions with French "unteachers". Since 2016 I've been guiding on a website forum (to go through the Gateless Gate). But I still keep in touch with my French "unteacher" for the post awakening, deep-looking, integration, embodiement, and clearing. I also practice everyday yoga meditation (Being Meditation / Abiding). There was a thought which came regularly : "fraud" and there was oscillations (flip-floping). And my French unteacher talked about you, genuine unteacher. Thanks to your videos and satsangs (thank you great Cliffness !), Clarity is shinning through ;-) Again, I say you were not an idiot, the story/the dream was meant to be unfolding like this. Being Gratitude & Love.

Dreaming is such an interesting optical illusion. While dreaming, it feels and looks like you are experiencing the dream from within the dream, but the dream is actually within you. Might it be the same with our daily experience? It looks and feels like you are experiencing from within THIS (and within the body), but THIS (and the body) is/are really within you?

@@FredDavisNonduality I have an almost paralysing fear today that to 'wake up' is really to reach a dead end and realise there is only this, there is no other state or boundary to cross, like I've been circling around and around like a goldfish in an and infinite bowl. I have been looking into awakening for many years and have recently discovered you. This story, seems to remain a story to me. Nothing more. The idea that Fred is me, is particularly 'unconvincing' if that is the right word. I understand that Fred is in awareness and there is nothing but awareness. However, awareness via Fred and via this unit does not have the same experience. All I can imagine is a form of solipsism that does not allow for multiple separate experience at all. What am I missing?

Fred - thank you for this. I am in the UK and only just found you this week. Please can I ask a question. In lots of healing modalities like reflexology and acupuncture and yoga, there is talk of our individual energy system (chakras, auras etc) that need maintaining and keeping healthy. If everything is within us, do units even have individual energy systems to keep balanced?? Thank you so much, I am going to watch one of your videos a day until I have watched them all xxx

Hi Fred. I was with everything until you said now I’m going to get rid of the unit. After that I kept thinking that there wouldn’t still be a feeling of being there or in the space of boundless darkness as I wouldn’t be there in the unit that generates that feeling. I just lost it at that point. I felt my awareness went with the unit. Any advice on this rather large obstacle that is the fact I lose it at the point I have to let go of my body. You've confused a pointer as being the truth. Nothing that comes out of my mouth - including in this exercise - can be absolutely true. It's true-ish, or truthy, even truth-like, but it isn't true. Teaching doesn't have to be absolutely true in order to be extremely helpful.
Fred Davis thanks for the reply Fred. Seems I need to feel it a bit more externally, I’m stuck in a feeling that it’s contained in me and if someone came along and killed me whilst I was observing it would be the end. I haven’t got the feeling of the unit being just along for the ride yet.

In fact my only problem is I constantly feel bad in my body... I can meditate, do sports, taking drugs, I still feel bad... Should I just stop searching for an abstract state of non duality where I do not suffer anymore, I'm searching like a mad because I had great experiences of non duality where all my suffering vanished. Maybe I shoud stop looking for it and just go for good therapy with psychoanalyst, learn to live in this world, accept my limitation of being an human ? This is so hard and painfull... I feel so unable to success... Any advices ?
Nondual teachings are not a replacement for either psychologists, or psychiatrists. I often suggest that clients avail themselves of those professional services. I imagine you could find them useful. So why not give them a try? Come back here when there is less anger. That sense of victimship is enough in itself to keep awakening at bay indefinitely.
Reality is not how it feels to you that it is. Begin to doubt your own thinking, not that of others. I wish you luck. ♥
Hi Fred. Question, often when doing such exercises thoughts come up like 'but Im not sure if it's not happening in a brain'. Are these doubts best just ignored and try getting a sense of what the exercise is pointing at, or are these doubts best challanged until some kind knowing/understanding comes?
Let the thoughts come. Let the thoughts go. Whatever you put your attention on will expand in your experience, so pay them as little attention as possible.

I recently had this experience during a dmt session ..I was dissolved and my essence pulled into into a holy chamber where my essence levitated above Gods throne ;black and white tiled floor, royal purple with white, I had the feeling God was in this room and as I had this thought I became the entire experience of the room and realized I was the one. It didn't make sense for a long time until I watched this video so thank you Fred 💜☂️ I felt disbelief and a sense of unworthiness afterward to think I could be the one...
just purchased your 3 books today online and am excited to unravel some more. I feel a deep unraveling with tight tension like I'm going to snap almost... Hey, Gloria! I'm confident you've had an awakening experience: they're great, and can be important, but as you've already noticed, they come and go.
An Awakening Session would now work to help you understand what happened and to WHO. And it could help you see/be That which does NOT come and go.

Recently I have got very interested with non duality and enlightenment but there is one thing I really can't understand. I hope someone can explain it to me.
Everyone is telling that its not possible for a person to become enlightened and I'm cool with that. The thing I don't understand however is that if this is the case - how can person even get any enlightenment experience at all if this experience happens with awareness itself not with individual person. As far as I understand all living beings including humans are just doing some stuff on their own and without this collective awareness, which we actually are, everything that happens would be like a movie running while nobody would be watching it. Kind of like sleepwalking maybe. So if our mind/ego/person is just doing some random stuff and is not part of awareness itself other than the fact it happens within it, how can it ever have experience how its like to be pure awareness and tell others about it. I hope you guys understand my question and could explain how this works.
One thing I can promise you: You will not "figure this out".

@@HugoPortoFerraro I believe the question cannot be answered on an intellectual level but can only be experienced. Much in the same way that you can not really intellectual understand the concept of love. But once you experience love then it is known to you.
