I am not a hater , just making an observation as someone who loves music , I hate people getting credit on songs for a thought!, that doesn’t make you a song writer, and a hate going to a live show where singers then lip sync or rely on a backing track more than their own vocals, if I knew they were gonna do that , then I would have saved myself the ridiculous cost and energy involved in attending gigs and listen to them at home. I do like some of Eds songs, and I thought he was great when I saw him at the Eminem gig a couple of years ago. I just love original singer song writers such lead singer from one republic. He writes for loads of other people but you wouldn’t instantly know they are his songs. When other artists sings songs that are written in part by sheeran you generally can tell they are his songs. Whether they were his originally are another matter! I commend this crowd for taking in this experience and not shouting and screaming. Have been following Ed since he opened for Snow Patrol and will always remember the time he sang the last stanza of Wayfaring Stranger completely acapella and without a microphone-super talented
I agree! He's a pretty mediocre singer, but an incredible musician and song writer. Not many people can pull off equipment failure during a concert like this. And when he takes out his in-ear monitors...Wow!!

There was something so powerful listening to Ed fill a stadium with just his voice, the acapella and the ocassional drift of ambient instrumental. So full of talent! I could happily stand there and listen to the whole gig with just his voice! Incredible moment!

he is just a pure diamond to the music industry. I don't knoe how many ppl he inspired. His story is surreal, hard to believe it's real and not in my own parallel universe. I just love him. Altough it saddens me that his latest music was pretty mainstream.
He sung it beautifully. Acapella does mean without music though, and he had a backing track or musicians playing the track. It was just his guitar that wasn't working. I expected the fans to help out much more than they did. Missed opportunity.
This only works becuse he spend so long training his fans to just shut up and listen during his concerts. Always loved that about him. I remember him playing for much, much smaller crowds in much more intimate settings and he would literally stop singing if the crowd misbehaved.
