We got our stove hooked up day before yesterday and it’s awesome. My house is so cozy warm. I only have it at Level 2 and it’s 72 degrees in here. The stove is in my basement and the house is 1700 square feet, plus another 1700 sq ft in the basement, so that’s pretty darn good. My basement is nice and warm and so is my house. I LOVE it. Thank you so much ComfortBilt...
We have a HP 22 with the larger hopper for only a few weeks here in NM at 7000 elevation and love it ! After burning wood for 25 years, this is like going somewhere in a car , verses going there on horseback .The company is great and if you have a question ,they are just a phonecall away. Jonathan ,Todd and the whole staff are always ready for any questions or concerns and know the stove inside and out . It has been great so far and know we will have many years of good service from it and the company
Stove worked well for 1yr 2weeks, woke this morning to totally blank control panel, tried reset and changing fuse but still blank display. Any suggestions?
I have the HP 21 it gets so hot to the touch it Burns. On the top and side I think it's the blower motor but can't find it anywhere. It's in brand new just installed it yesterday.
I have this same model. Purchased it about a year ago. Ive cleaned it and followed these steps but my stove fails to light. The pellets slightly burn but not enough to ignite entire pot before it fails. Any suggestions?
Oh no! It may be a lack of pellets or a lack of airflow. Both problems can cause ignition issues. Make sure the rear chambers are cleaned, so that there are no airflow restrictions.
Dumb question, but do pellets need to be in to test the unit to make sure it works? I just installed mine without pellets and the screen just says "igniting" with no other indicators shown.
Yes, when you press start, the igniter heats up, the combustion motor spins up, and the auger will try to deliver pellets. Without pellets, the stove will eventually give an Ignition Failure message.
Hi, I have a question for you, I bought a comfort bolt hp21 from home depot(on line) I set it up but keep giving me an error message to check if the hoped is empty, and yes the unit stops working, I installed it 2 weeks ago, I don't know why it's doing that the hoped is full
I had the same problem. I had to turn the power off, fill the hopper and remove the ash tray and clean around it then restart it . I had to actually do this twice. The vacuum seal was not tight enough. but it works fine now.
My stove always triggers high temp warning and truns off. I can't do anything to keep it working over level 2 on manual. I called factory and changed stall setting they suggested and closed air way door. My house is freezing cold. If i can't fix it i can't keep it. It is the only heat i have. What can i do? Temperature setting always over heats too. I can't even use it.
What do you do if you don't have the data cord? I bought my unit and it's hooked up but the only thing I don't have is that white data cord that attaches to the back!
Without the data cable, the stove will not be usable. Please contact us for a replacement cable, or you can find it on our website: comfortbilt.net/products/comfortbilt-pellet-stove-4-pin-data-cable
@@acidbran I just happened to find the video as this is my unit.....and saw these unanswered questions....I don't work for these guys.....But hey feel free to subscribe to my channel....I do all kids of reviews
I'm replacing an older Lennox Pellet stove that has given me year after year of reliability but it is getting older and it's time to go bigger. I never understood why pellet stoves only blow heated air straight out the front verses front and sides. I have to place my stove directly in the middle of my living room next to the wall and side blowers sure would be nice to have in my case. This unit looks like it has side blowers and that would be nice.
I would have liked to see a close up of the digital screen as he was explaining the start up process. Cause i had purchased this stove used with no book. But sounds pretty simple. Best way to start it up i guess would be just to go to manual start up.
Yes a close-up of the screen and explaining it a little bit slower and not have that noisy music in the background which is almost drowning out your voice and making it harder to concentrate on what you're saying! That would help very much! We just got the HP50S and I can't believe how quiet it is but really the directions are very confusing sometimes so if you could make a video where your zooming and an explaining it slowly so we can see the screen that would be extremely helpful thank you.
It is a little bit different with the newer software. First, press the "Secondary Function" button. (Bottom right button on left side of the panel). This will turn the red indicator light on. Now press the "Mode Select" button. (Bottom left button on left side of panel). You should now see a message displayed that says "Timer 01H". You can press the UP and DOWN arrows to select the timer that you desire, from 1 Hour all the way to 24 Hours. Once it is at the desired time, just press the Secondary Function button again to resume normal operation.
is it normal for the flame to be strong and die down? I'll have a period of intense flame which then slowly lowers until more pellets are dropped and ignited.
We just bought this stove and got it installed. Ours is doing the same thing with the flame going up and down, along with popcorn like pellets that are flying out into the ash pan. This doesn’t feel very efficient to me. I’m bummed no one answered this question for you.
I read in the manual that the flame will fluctuate up and down the most when on level 1. I just used my HP22i for the first time last night. It has been running since 830pm last night. I noticed the same thing and questioned it myself. If you increase the heat level the flame will not die out as much. On the lower level or levels ( 1and 2), the auger pauses a little longer than on the higher levels (3 to 5). I hope this helped a little bit. I did a ton of research before buying this stove and I never used a pellet stove until last night. Please lmk once you have adjusted the heat levels if you notice any difference. What I realized is that everyone's set up is different in terms of how big your fireplace opening is, how much or little air is being drawn into the stove for combustion, what size pipe kit is being used etc. I'm just learning all of this and continuing to learn more on how to keep my HP22i running as efficient as possible. Sorry for the long story lol I just want to help and be helped. If there is any info you can pass on to me I would greatly appreciate it.
@@superluigi3279 Thank you for responding. My husband wound up calling Comfortbilt customer service and they helped him fine tune the settings for each burn level.
