The shortest version does not include his SAWs family. I read that he SAW said include my family and not just me, is that correct. However, I prefer the Durood Ebrahim as this is what he SAW taught us and others when asked what to say and it’s what Allah SWA has asked us to say in the 5 daily Salat.
Some people recite the Burdah, religiously every Friday or Dalail Khayrat. This to me is like a for. If worship. What is you view on that please? It is different forms of salawaat. People recite it as the authors of those salawaat benefitted and so they think they will too, InshaaAllah.
