Jonathan Majors Explains How to Conquer an Acting Career: “It’s Okay to Care”

- Jonathan Majors is a Netflix Western hero; the Big Bad of the Marvel Cinematic Universe; the most formidable opponent to sit across from Michael B. Jordan in the “Creed” series. He is, in other words, extremely cool. But one of the secrets to his success, he says, is how deeply uncool he can be about his craft.
“It’s okay to care. That’s one of the things that really gets me about actors; about us,” he says. “Sometimes there’s this devil may care attitude. ‘I’ll get to it when I get to it.’ The truth of the matter is, you care more about this thing than anything else in the world and it scares you to death. You can act cool about it. I don’t act cool about it at all. It is what I love the most.”

Jonathan I just wanna thank you for giving me the🔥🔥🔥 to go full force with this craft. I feel like If I don't make it I will die lol. This is everything! I use all the techniques you gave me to the best of my abilities. I pray everyday and night and I do get very scared because I'm 38 and it's been 4 years I've been going hard doing acting and working with MTA taking care of my parents and being a husband and father. I have so many people and family depending on me so that's why I never stop trying. No matter how broke no matter how bad things get I know I have to do this for me and my family. Imma make it and imma do it the right way. No shortcuts! Just keeping good energy at all times, studying as much as I can and living by faith and not by sight. I appreciate what you showed me💯💪🏾
